Quite strange for racism to exist if all humans came from Africa. Nature cannot evolve animals or plants or fungi or bacteria. Time for a real grown up conversation .
Please stop using the word "woke". I get you may be being facetious but I think continuing to use this poorly defined word will just perpetuate it. It means nothing.
As a black man, its disgusting to see those that claim they're " woke", yet they still judge people by the color of their skin, not by the content of their character.
@@twinsanity4991 I appreciate anyone who keeps it real instead of pretending to be someone they’re not to appease others, I have friends of different ethnicities who are racist towards other races, admitting this would give the woke crowd ammunition to call me racist for associating with people such views but I also have friends who lie, steal etc., my point is I have friends who are racist but that doesn’t make me a racist, I have friends who steal but that doesn’t make me a thief, people want to ostracize other’s for sinning different than them but none of us are without sin and I really admire Darryl Davis, the black man who befriended a lot of KKK members and eventually a lot of them hung up their hoods lol and changed their beliefs, that was accomplished not through canceling them, it was accomplished through civil discourse and a little bit of empathy, what you said about having a honest enemy was some real shit brother, from my observation a lot of these people who are woke are the great pretenders, they want to cancel people who think differently than them while harboring some racist feelings, personally I think all the woke white people who try to portray black people as victims are some of the biggest racist of all, if we want to achieve true equality it’s not gonna be through canceling others, it can only be achieved through civil discourse and a little bit of empathy for those who think differently, God Bless✌️
@@jurachi1180 lol, where do you get this from? I’ve had black friends my whole life and have dozens of family members who are black but not once in my life have I said watch what you say around my black friend to my white friends lol, you must be talking about the woke crowd, they’re an entity all to themselves lol!!
Nah bro. If white people hate me because I’m black, then me hating them back is not racism. Because I don’t hate them for their color, I hate them for their hate.
yeah; as a white person from ireland, i am 100% not oppressed right now, however my ancestors were! the people saying those things in this video are completely ignoring countries other than america ://
I'm Guatemalan (brown) and I sometimes visit the US. A few years ago I visited L.A. and became friend with an Italian guy in the hotel, and some girls took us to a club, we had a lot of fun dancing and partying like tourists we were. On our way out from the club a black couple told my Italian friend "there is no place for white men on the dancefloor", so yes, all races can be incredibly racist and blinded by their prejudice.
I’m Italian and a lot of ppl think I’m Just a white girl 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️ it’s really annoying. My hair is legit copper and my eyes are blue and green. I’m a 3rd generation on both sides of my family. I legitimately have nothing to do with the racism bit in America. But given todays world, my two boys will just be judged as white men 😢 it’s genuinely sickening.

Yea, lol that’s the whole funny, well sad thing about this. What these people are saying is wrong, they’re saying against “white people” dude, I guarantee I’m more poor than any of them, and invsure all the people who are saying the racism, are somewhat selfish, entitled and think they’re right about everything. I didn’t agree with slavery and all the bull shit, don’t lump me in with those assholes. I don’t even see race or skin color, I judge on character, personality and morals and a lot of these people lack in that department. There’s good people and bad people, every single person on earth is different than the other,
I grew up with it, now ya'll middle class kids can see what I had to deal with everyday in a majority black neighborhood as a white kid, literally have a scar from being jumped by grown ass black men for "Playing basketball in black town" (Their words)

Pull yourself up by your bootstraps. 4.) (new one) Right to free speech. Now that things are being said about YOU. . .What happened to all of that energy?
"I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character" It goes both ways
Unfortunately the left will only be happy till each black person in the usa has at least one white slave so until the white race is enslaved this conversation is useless
But the sad thing is is that most people have never read MLK speeches they just know the was a black man that helped fight racism and segregation but they have no idea what he was actually fighting for and what he actually did to help.
He wasn’t talking about white people in that quote. Might be worth keeping that in mind. While MLK is remembered as a whitewashed capitalist white-loving hero today, he was seen as an “America-hating, anti-white, commie” while he was alive. And for good reason. He intentionally made white people uncomfortable to force them to recognize the systemic racism of this country. He espoused socialist values and spoke out against capitalism. And today, the same people that are claiming this country isn’t racist are simultaneously funding police forces that disproportionately murder black people in the street and banning the teaching of historical racism. MLK would be so disappointed to see how little progress we’ve made, and he would be furious that quotes from his speeches are being cherry-picked to justify idiot concepts like anti-white racism. EDIT: Since people are still refusing to listen, here are some quotes that might make you a bit less comfortable with whitewashing him: “The evils of capitalism are as real as the evils of militarism and racism. The problems of racial injustice and economic injustice cannot be solved without a radical redistribution of political and economic power” - March 30, 1967 “The price that America must pay for the continued oppression of the Negro and other minority groups is the price of its own destruction” - July 4, 1965 “White Americans must recognize that justice for black people cannot be achieved without radical changes in the structure of our society” - 1967 “Loose and easy language about equality, resonant resolutions about brotherhood fall pleasantly on the ear, but for the Negro there is a credibility gap he cannot overlook. He remembers that with each modest advance the white population promptly raises the argument that the Negro has come far enough. Each step forward accents an ever-present tendency to backlash” - 1967 “I must confess that over the past few years I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro’s great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen’s Councilor or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to “order” than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice” - 1963
Racism doesn’t require an oppressive system unless you’re talking about systemic racism. If you hate someone based off their skin color, that’s racism, regardless if their black, white, Asian, etc
its race not skin color, for example there could be an albino black person but they would still be targeted by another race for being black or there could be asians with "white" skin that still get treated badly for being asian, so it really isnt skin color but actually race
Yeah, you’re right that they’re talking about different things. But there is systemic racism against white people too though. Jews of European ancestry are white, after all. Also, middle easterners were obviously discriminated against after 9/11, both in the US and UK. Also, Italians, many white South Americans. Germans were systematically oppressed in America around WWII. Everyone is systematically oppressed by university quotas etc. And I’m only talking about America here. Look at Serbs living in the Balkans outside of Serbia etc. There are heaps of examples of systemic racism against whites.
@@keegster7167 Look at putin claiming that Ukrainian people doesn't exist and currently trying to kill them all. That's worse than racism, that's genocide. All within one race.
Growing up my best friend was black n I'm white. We told jokes about each other's race all the time. We both would laugh n continue to be friends. People these days are just soft.
I think you're the soft one for being so closed minded and not knowing that there are differnt people Just because y'all made "jokes" doesn't mean someone else can't get offended
@@ROTBUG1 That's true, but words can hurt just as much as actions too, and you don't know what they've been through for that to be a sensitive subject, so it's also understandable if they get offended.
I mean, joking with your friend is pretty different from making jokes at the expense of a stranger. Jokes are great, but "jokes" intending to harm are cruel.
It is disgusting to know that I breathe the same air as some of these people. Martin Luther King Jr advocated for people to be judged by the content of their character not the color of their skin. To see these people throw away the teachings of someone who fought for actual equality in this country is heartbreaking.

As an Asian, who once studied in the u.s racism towards white people does exists. The amount of black people and Asian insulting white people just cuz they're white is uncomfortable even for me. Imagine if the tables turned, that kinda shit would probably be on news or something
Which is weird imo because the main demographic to attack and be racist towards Asians is in fact black people. So just odd to be racist towards the one side that would most likely back you up against the racism of other groups.
They can’t even imagine the tables being turned unfortunately they’ve blocked that off in their minds so they can continue with hatred because it’s easy

Here is an essay that I wrote about about it. Title: "The Power Dynamics of Racism: Exploring the Notion that **Only Whites Can Be Racist in the United States**" In examining the concept that only whites can be racist in the United States, two prominent authors, Ijeoma Oluo in "**So You Want to Talk About Race**" **and Robin DiAngelo in "**White Fragility,**" shed light on the systemic nature of racism and its relationship with power dynamics. According to DiAngelo, racism is defined as prejudice against someone based on their race, reinforced by a system of power. To grasp racism, it is crucial to differentiate it from mere prejudice and discrimination. Racism emerges when a racial group's collective prejudice is backed by legal authority and institutional control, creating a pervasive system that operates independently of individual intentions. It becomes deeply ingrained in society, extending beyond isolated acts or individuals. While people of color may harbor prejudices and discriminate against whites, lacking the social institutional power transforms their actions into temporary and contextual impacts. DiAngelo further argues that when people of color hold biases against their own or other groups, it reinforces the existing racist system that predominantly benefits whites. Racism, as a society-wide dynamic, operates at the group level. In the United States context, Oluo contends that only whites possess the collective social and institutional power and privilege over people of color, asserting that this power dynamic is integral to racism. DiAngelo echoes these sentiments by emphasizing that racism is not a fluid concept that changes direction based on individual achievements. She supports the notion that racism is deeply rooted in historical systems of institutional power. Thus, discussions about racism do not require the qualifier "reverse" since, by definition, it entails a fixed historical system. In essence, both authors underline the importance of recognizing the structural power imbalances embedded in racism, challenging the conventional understanding that anyone can be racist regardless of power dynamics.
I think it’s funny when the guy says globally whiteness is controlling racism, but that’s only because he only sees things from the west. There is a lot of racism in say China or Africa, but that’s not talked about very often.
Ever hear a Han Chinese person talk about the other ethnicities in China? I wish there was a TH-camr who could put together a compilation of Han Chinese being SAVAGE racists vs the "other" Chinese people.
I dont know if it is not talked about very often, it is just that different channels (instead of YT, FB, Insta etc) are used there and also ofc different languages, which mean that in practice the two 'worlds' are divided and it is rather difficult to see content from the perspective of a random Asian content creator. Which, in practice means that in the end, i agree with you and indeed it is talked about quite often but the communication is so different that it doesnt connect well enough in some sense.
@@derricktalbot8846 Exactly. Most Americans don’t even know what Han is. Or Mestizo. They think as soon as you cross the Rio Grande, Mexico is a homogenous society smh.
I am black and idc if you are white or any of that. All I care about is if you are a good person and someone I can trust and enjoy being around. Sadly, all I see on the internet nowadays are people of all colors, mostly white and black, though, complaining about honestly nothing. . . I have grandparents alive today who have gone through real racial tyranny, but guess what? I don't hold a grudge against anyone. It's about YOU and what is in YOUR heart. Have a blessed day everyone, and remember at the end of the day we are all Americans. My family fought and died for this country and so has yours, let's not lose it to media manipulation and let's all try to be compassionate to everyone's struggles. . .
Something that I found interesting about racism or discrimination is that it was nearly non existent in ancient cultures in the form we see it as today. When I researched ancient Greek and Roman societies I noticed that they didn't talk about occlusion within their nation based on ethnicity. I did some digging and found that black or brown Greeks and Romans were treated identical to any other skin color. What I realized is that ancient civilizations treated race as if it didn't exist and instead discriminated based on which nation or class you belonged to. It seems that modern day racism based on ethnicity is most prevalent in societies that start with an inequality of wealth based on race. So I believe that the inequality in wealth and opinions drawn off the status of others are what cause racism. In ancient societies with nobles, they would practice nearly identical forms of discrimination towards lower class peoples. I think that is the root of racism, class based discrimination, not skin color.
I went to a 95% or higher black high school as a white male. While most were cool towards me, I dealt with a good deal of bias (some might consider to be racism) against me. Whether it was making fun of me being white or flat out smacking me in the head when I'm a crowd, I also live in a mostly black area of town and there's been times where my car in my driveway was broken into and my gf's car in the street broken into... then I asked my neighbors who are all black about their cars being broken into, but theirs weren't and it was only mine, and that's happened two different times. Then I've asked a black friend who claims to me that there's more racism now against black people than ever before, I asked him to state what racism he's personally experienced rather than falling for the hype he's being told to believe, and he really couldn't name anything. He lives in a upper class white area. He and his wife combined probably make a good deal over $300K a year in salary, but both claim all these white people area racist in America. When I told him that I've dealt with more racism than he has, his reaction was to laugh at me. It's odd to see some of this stuff, I considered him to be a pretty smart person, so for him to simply be blind to it all, it's like scary. There's no end in sight either.
I was bullied and discriminated against for being white in a predominantly Hispanic and black school. Their justification was often that I was inherently racist simply because of the fact that I was white, which was hypocritical and, ironically enough, racist. It was pure torment and torture. That’s why it always angers me so much when I see people saying, “it isn’t possible to be racist to whites because of xyz” because it isn’t true. I fucking lived it. I was forced to deal with it daily. Edit: I want to add that that sort of justification almost definitely wouldn’t organically come from the mind of a kid. That kind of mentality has to be taught, which emphasizes an even bigger problem.
As an hispanic person srry and i know what u say is true. I got a female friend with pale skin and not only man but a lot of women talk shit about her at her backs, truly disgusting behaviour. Thats why in the internet I see that white ppl cant be victim of racism I just think how ignorant they are, specially almost all of them are americans that live in their bubble
Are you oppressed for being white? How are Black people and Brown people oppressing you in terms of education, healthcare, housing, employment, and the criminal justice system?
There seems to be two ways one can understand racism: 1. The belief that one's own race is superior to another, and the use of that belief to discriminate against people from other races. 2. The result of a system that creates a power dynamic related to which race one belongs to If we assume the first way, then racism is not a thing that is invented. If we assume the second way, racism is something that is invented, and is invented by the people who create the system that results in the oppression. Those who think of racism in the second way refer to the first way as "racial prejudice." Those who think of racism in the first way generally will say things like "reverse racism is just racism" or "black people can be racists towards white people." Those who think of racism in the second way generally will say things like "there is no such thing as reverse racism" or "all white people are racist." In the past, by racism was usually meant the first way, but now, often the left are meaning by racism the second way. I don't know the origins of this shift. The purpose of the shift, I speculate, is to create further divisions and more hatred between people. I'm sure white people hate being told "all white people are racist," assuming they treat people based on the content of their character. Black people probably prefer thinking of it in the second way, knowing its implication that they can't be racist. A lot of arguments about racism seem to stem from a confusion in what is meant by racism. For example, people can actually come up with a reasonable argument that "two and two make four" is racist assuming the second way, while people who only understand it in the first way will think any person who believes that is insane.
@@bartholomewhalliburton9854 so many words and you miss what is an extremely simple definition that I think the vast majority of people understand. Racism is treating someone negatively, either through action, judgment, or expectation simply because of their race. It’s that simple. I guess the first definition isn’t the worst I’ve ever heard but I think someone can do racist things without necessarily thinking they are superior. For example many people are racist against their own race. And no it wasn’t invented. Racism from an evolutionary standpoint seems like it is completely natural. We are super prone to judge people on appearance and think it’s just instinct to some extent. Doesn’t mean racism is okay we should be able to overcome those impulses.
@@nathanhargenrader645 I understand what you are saying. My first definition was meant to also capture what you just described, "treating someone negatively, either through action, judgment, or expectations imply because of their race." So, I recognize that my reply to you was flawed, because it didn't catch what you meant as racism in the first definition. So, assume I've revised it to how you described it. However, I think you still missed my point. My point was that racism can mean something entirely different from that first definition. When it is the first definition, racism was not invented because it would always have existed as you just described. (You're enhancing my point) However, when you see racism in the second definition, it does make sense to say racism is invented, and, furthermore, the racism in America would be invented by white people. To people who see racism in the second way, to say "racism is not something that gets invented" is as silly as saying "government is not invented."
@@bartholomewhalliburton9854 my definition includes systemic racism and to be quite frank anyone that tries to define racism in that way is stupid. While systemic racism has and does exist in some forms it is by far and away a less common form of racism and so basing the entire definition around systemic racism is foolish because it misses how people interact with one another most of the time. For example: 1)imagine a cop pulls over an African American male and treats him unreasonably 2)imagine an agent in a security line for a plane pulling aside a middle eastern person 3)imagine someone asking another person of Latin descent if they are an illegal immigrant A person who defines racism as having a systemic component would say all or most of those are examples of systemic racism. But that isn’t true. These are people acting in racist ways that are in some way a part of the system but they are not acting because of the system but because of bias they as individuals hold. Finally the definition is a complete logical fallacy that no one actually believes. By implying that racism must contain a systemic element or power imbalance it implies that someone in a situation where they don’t hold the power or the system doesn’t work for them can’t be racist. For example a white person could go to an African nation where African people hold all the power and they could yell every slur in the book and it wouldn’t be racist. Now obviously no one believes that. So yes these people are stupid the definition is invalid and stupid and idea that any particular person or race of people invented racism is so unbelievably stupid that it would require a few to many chromosomes to actually believe it. Even if someone had invented it would be impossible to prove who so even excepting the stupid premise it’s still stupid.
The fact that in the US people constantly defines themselves by their skin color is insane. It is basically saying "I'm not like you" as an introduction to other people. What good can come from this?
If this is America USA, im glad i live in England where we have a U in the alphabet . The Racisem word is used so much beyond it's true meaning it's become so diluted it seems to be the defense norm for everyone.
One problem I’ve been seeing, is that it seems like most of those who fight for “equality” aren’t actually trying to dismantle the hierarchy they despise so much and are pretty much indulging and contributing to it themselves because they don’t actually despise it, they would just rather see themselves at the top instead then to see any form of equality.
@@THE_MOONMAN they've always been really good about making you think that's the case. Republicans freed the slaves, they had God as their reasoning. You wouldn't catch a democrat believing in God lol. After all, if there's no God, who cares what sin you commit? Ultimately it wouldn't matter. They're godless and therefore do NOT need to adhere to any morals.
Absolutely thrilled you did this. I'm a white dude.. and deal with racist comments from black people on a literal, daily basis. It's disgusting. They can openly disguss their hate for any and all white people, based solely on them being white. Yet, if it was the other way around, we would be shattered in the public eye. By definition, my career is a "professional" one... if I made comments like they have made towards me, I'd literally be out of a job.
This Asian man tried to reduce racism down to being a FINANCIAL problem. I can list multiple black people that are financially stable and still experience racism. In his country alone, they expose black people to the same level of racism in America. This is a smack in the face.
Jamaican people are seriously the coolest, nicest, most down-to-earth people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I don't know about others' experiences, but all I've had with Jamaicans were extremely positive.
I immigrated to Maryland from Sicily as a child and as a dark skinned Italian my parents told me to expect to experience racism from white Americans, but it didn't happen. However i did experience extreme racism from black Americans, and still do.
Did you leave? While not perfect, south and central America have less of this problem from my experience. They have other issues, of course. Eastern Europe has been similar in my experience.
Holly shit I'm like the Asian version of you loool I immigrated to LA with my family from Taiwan when I was 13, I was told by some of my Taiwanese teachers expecting racism from both white and black, and I was living in a white neighborhood and attending to a white high school, I didn't experienced any racism at all, people were too curious about me since it's their first time seeing an actual Asian from Asia, they were more curious and just friendly to help me out. But then my family relocate to the SGV area in LA, the entire area with multiple cities has a high Asian population, I went there for my last 2 years of high school, and on my first week, I experienced internalized racism, aka the self hate. I wasn't the one that had it the worst, my accent didn't give me away as a immigrant(Idk if that has anything to do with me spending time with white people all day long before), but there were a group of Chinese students who came from China, they were having it way worse, as if the entire school isolates them. But I don't feel too bad for these Chinese kids though, because they were pretty hateful toward me too, just because I'm a Taiwanese(due to geopolitical and historical tension), and even after I tried to help them with translation since many of them don't understand English at all, once they found out I'm from Taiwan, they instantly show you an unwelcoming face, and they just stick in their own little Chinese student circle I thought it's only in high school of that area, but I was wrong, college in that area are also filled these kind of Asian Americans who judge Asians or another Asian American, and even now when I go to that area, I can still sense it, the way they look you, the tone they speak, it's not everyone of them but still, you can run into one if you stay there for a day. Now I wondering if it's the same for white people and latino people, this is crazy.
@yaya5tim , I can't speak for LA, but in the Mid West I didn't see any really bad hate between Latinos and Whites. I'm white and my best friends were Latino. Great families. I think since we all were from working class families, there was this kind of sticking together between us. Not sure if it's changed since then. Don't live in the states anymore. I do remember visiting LA a few times, though. I did notice some very serious tension among so many groups around there. There's just too much inequality that's making people feel they are pitted against each other. Crazy stuff.
If you think racism is only okay to apply to specific groups, that shows me that you don't actually care about racism. You only care when it's towards a race you like(your team).
No you don’t understand people in power are not infected by racism even if blacks or Mexicans are racist against white people it’s not going to have any major effect on them they can’t lock them up they can’t make them poor they can’t destroy their neighborhoods they can’t tax them or fair them from government jobs
I hate it when people say, “you slaved us” I didn’t personally do that. I wasn’t alive then… I do my best to be a good person to everyone. Don’t put that on me. Thanks…
I completely agree, times have changed Why dont we celebrate the fact thats not happening anymore? Media spreads people apart into opinions and world views. All of that has been forged into being a completely prejudiced opion
I hate it more when people are so defensive over a white person, like they were a slave and were whipped. The excuse of “you slaved us”, is so sad, because those times are over. Let it go.
One example of racism is believing that only one race/ethnicity has ever suffered. Ive never treated black people badly but I get a lot of hate back. The sense of entitlement is just astounding in so very many black people.
I learned that people are different and not all blacks are alike when I was a child. I had good friends living in a black neighborhood but one boy who was much older obviously hated me because I was white and proved it by his actions. My mom went to his home after he had pushed me from behind and made my nose bleed. She said his mother started to cry and didn't want the boy's father to find out because he "beat him real bad." My mother told her not to say anything to the father but she would tell him herself if the boy did it again. We soon moved to the country but I never forgot that "you can't judge a book by its cover."
Yeah I feel I might be lucky that the black friends and people I know never feel entitled (one was even upset when the BLM protests were happening and it was pushed that white people needed to help black people be successful since they can't themselves) and some find it a bit ridiculous how far people have taken a lot of this. I remember a friend and I asked one friend what he thought about the BLM stuff and he told me, he supports the statement because yes black lives to matter but he doesn't support the organization. Hell whenever I hear someone say older white people were the only ones who owned slaves, I just laugh at how stupid that statement is. A lot of civilizations had slaves from other races or locations. It's so simple to find this fact but for one person in this video, it seems the Earth's history starts in the 1800s or whenever the USA was formed.
black people were slaved by black people. Arabic culture got to know african tribes and traded with them tech and weapons, those tribes adopted arabic culture and started slavering other african tribes, eventually european started tradeding slaves with them too. But we cant forget that arabs slaved europe too.
I grew up white in a black neighbohood and the discrimination was completely unreal. White kids were hated upon just for being white. 8 year old me was just as poor as anyone else in that school i didnt deserved to be bullied. That doesnt make me hate black people today , it makes me hate bullies.
Actually white people MADE competition in the job market during slavery by not considering some Europeans to be white. They ousted Italians after slavery, the Jewish were considered white until they migrated here in too great of numbers, it’s really crazy to see immigrants gain a much more consistent level of stability when the people that have been free here the longest make being poor seem like something that takes 300 years to not be.
@@thealandislands4061 Plus, everything I said is historically accurate. That’s why you’re upset & willing to address anything but the fact that being white & poor in American means your entire family is stupid & doomed to be poor. Cuz of it takes more than 250 years, it’s not happening. You just have poor genes 😂
Before middle school, we were all just friends. They taught us to “not see color”. In 6th grade, I walked into the restroom to see one of my friends from elementary school writing on the wall. I just walked in and looked at her for a moment and didn’t say anything and she turned around and said, “What are you going to do, tell on me? Get out of here with your white head and your white self.” And then she shoved past me and left. That was very confusing, because we sat together the year before, and there were no problems. Now, I wonder what she went through in the summer between fifth and sixth grade that made her hateful towards me. Since then, I have been pushed, hit, and screamed at (at various times) by people accusing me of being racist, by people I have never met, who judged me solely based on color of my skin. Let me be clear that my family has always raised me with a very strong value against racism, against not judging a person by the color of their skin. I don’t make jokes about race. I don’t use hateful speech. I am very conscious of potential micro aggressions. I still don’t judge people on the color of their skin. Most people of color that I have met are neutral people just like everyone else, if not delightful. Do people of color experience racism from white people? Of course they do. But to suggest somebody cannot be racist towards me because I’m white?Well, I know better.
That's crazy, because I've grown up in a similar way. I've never seen people by the color of their skin, hell I even forgot skin had color for the longest time. In recent years that's all you ever see now. I can't look at people as people anymore without some tag of "white person" or "black person". I wish we could see people as people and not as a white person or black person. Some of my best friends were people of color, but out of nowhere they stopped talking to me and forgot I existed. Hoping one day things will change for the better.

I went into the gas station to pay for my gas and smiled at the young black fellow in front of me when he looked at me. I was in full work uniform and had logos all over me. He asked me, "Who the f*** are you smiling at?" Then he pushed me and knocked himself back then ran outside. An older black gentlemen saw the event and asked if I knew him. I told him we hadn't met before and I was very confused. The older black gentlemen told me to wait and he would walk me out to my car. The young man was standing outside his car with a gun in his hand staring at us when we walked out. The older man ignored him and walked me to my car standing between us while I drove off. I will never understand what I did to provoke that response and I doubt I will ever forget the event.
@@leventgencer Some people just crave violence and are ignorant, those two things do not go together at all... just look at America right now, around 50% of Americans believe whatever they are told and cant form a basic thought, crime skyrocketing, racism being more common, I thought America was built to love and trust God, love your neighbors no matter their skin color or body, we are supposed to be united not against each other. also glad you were okay, and that African American man did the right thing to protect you he was a good man.
Same man I knew this probably ethiopian jewish guy in 5th grade never had trouble then me and my close group of friends where talking about conspiracy theories like what if Obamas wife is actually a dude because if you seen a picture of Obamas childhood friend looks exactly the same around the same size of back two and he over heard it know he thinks I'm Rascist just because I was talking about that.
They get highly territorial and insecure at puberty. I wish I was making this up, but I experienced it myself while I was growing up in one of their neighborhoods. When they were 11-13, they started being highly aggressive to me and the other white kids who lived there. I had already experienced similar treatment from some of the adults, but it was shocking to see people I had considered to be my peers transform into hateful monsters over the course of a few months.
When someone says black people can't be racist, you are already being racist by separating black people from white people. Yes, they look different and have different culture but racism still exists because people can't let it go and still has to "label" it.
I'm seeing kids use "racism" in situations that don't even involve race. Example I just read online just yesterday: "people are just deck racist against Rouge decks"
My father is white and he grew up on the island of Hawaii. Every day he was called a haole (a derogatory term aimed at white people) He had his lunch money stolen and was beat up and bullied by kids twice his size. When he told me this story I could feel the pain in his voice and the trauma he went through. He doesn't talk about it much only brought it up a few times. He is a strong man and has worked extremely hard his whole life. I bring up this story to say that yes racism exists towards whites and my dad sadly experienced it very bad.
Haole is not a derogatory term. It means loss of breath. It’s origin comes from captain cooks arrival to native lands and he did not have “ha.” Through time, this word has turned into a slang that encompasses anyone who does not have origins in Hawaii or non-natives. In a could be used in a derogatory context pertaining to those who lack the cultural knowledge. You can get picked on for being any race. You don’t think any other race gets picked on? Hawai’i is a place where white people are shocked at how they are treated. Usually they are not the brunt of the jokes in the mainland. It’s funny to me because they get treated like everyone else but can’t take it. when I moved to the mainland, that’s where you actually see racism in systemic context and not just getting picked on as a kid.
still not oppressed. that’s 1 white male in hawaii, whereas black and other minorities have all experienced racism / colourism from white ppl, no matter what country or place they are in, there’s no comparison.
Damn I’m sorry that happened. I too am a white guy who grew up in Hawaii. Yes, they will call you haole. And yes, when they come kicking down the door about bullying people will say “it’s not derogatory”. You can make a slur out of any word. It was only when we were forced to work in group projects or play group sports that the walls came down. Eventually, I became local too. It takes time and understanding to bring down walls of hate. You can’t break down a wall of hate by adding more bricks to it.
I am white and live in the USA, my ancestors are from Poland and Ireland. Hearing someone say “no white person has ever been oppressed” really made me think about modern mindsets. I also worked at a zoo for a couple of years and I was the only white person working there. I loved the job and did my best to make friends with my coworkers. There was a black woman who worked with me and I won’t disclose her name for her privacy. Anyways, we got along pretty well until another coworker who I had to work with a lot, she was Oneida, (An American Indigenous Group) told me that I am a horrible person and oppressor repeatedly. I quit the job because I didn’t want to deal with the second woman anymore. Anyways, I work at a greenhouse now and my coworkers are all different races, we get along very well so far. (This was posted on a random alt account to prevent me from getting cancelled.)
As a black person me and my sister clash about this all the time even today ironically, she thinks It isn't possible I think it is,she does not see the double standards and thinks it's ok only because we were enslaved etc etc...
@@ragebait988 pls are you for real? We literally learn about WW2 from middle school, to elementary school, to high school. WW2 history is LITERALLY all about how white people kept fcking up the planet and committing genocide left and right (ON A GLOBAL SCALE, mind you). WW2 and WW1 history are essentially sequels of white people being barbaric and risking everyone's necks and dragging everyone into war If there is history that needs to be taught more, it is indigenous history and the history of native Americans we know so little about. And we need to learn it from actual natives
The second woman needed to be put in her place. Educated on humans. “A black man viewed as a black man in society”. As if a white man, woman or Asian man woman isn’t viewed as white or Asian? Blacks were and are the only that were and are oppressed. ? Where Did slavery begin and by whom? Who were enslaved first? Until people truly get to the beginning people will not make strides. Scott Adams is 💯 correct. Sad.
When I was in middle school, everybody made fun of everybody. When I got to junior-high/high school, things changed. Anyone could make fun of me for being white, but I learned real fast that I couldn't make fun of anyone else in return. Mostly, though, that was way overshadowed by the bitterness I had from people who constantly made fun of me for being skinny--but if you called anyone fat, you were dead. ☠
Sure, you could have made fun at them back; you just need to recognize that white people are more likely to be born with generational wealth, opportunities, and privilege. True racism stems from the people who perpetuates systematic oppression based on race factors, and people who think a certain race as sub-human in any way.
as a white man this is what i’ve noticed over the past few years: people always forget the meaning of what they’re fighting for. the black equality movement was originally about equality, now at this point a lot of people promoting the “black equality movement” are just openly hating on white people then following it up with “but it’s ok for me to say that because they’re white” if that’s not racism, i don’t know what is. they’re essentially taking part in what they want to get rid off.
great response. i completely agree. almost all movements today have no actual standing. there is no more legal discrimination in America. the BLM, LGBTQ activist groups, the women's' movement, and many other movements have no actual grounding or reason to still exist at all. we're all equal under American law, so what's the issue?
Those people would respond you with "yes, you do not know what racism is". Its a shame they lost sight of what is really important in this fight. We allowed the public perception of the word "racism" to be changed and everything went downhill from there. Suddenly, not being prejudice against a person or a group isnt important anymore. Its all valid as long as your group have suffered some kind of injustice in the past.
In high school, i was on the basketball team in a predominantly black high school. Before each game, a players parents are responsible for being the team meal. When my team heard that it was my turn, I heard many comments about “oh god white people food” then when my grandma spent an entire day cooking a meal for my entire team, a lot of my team had asked their parents to bring them food. I felt so terrible bringing home the leftovers back to my grandma that I threw it away, because I didn’t want her to know that no one ate it. I had teachers say comments like white people have no rythmn, they don’t have culture and they can’t dance… in music classes. Anything I did well was “good for a white girl”. Weekly, without fail, not exaggeration I was reminded that I am a white girl in some way or another. A lot of times I wasn’t referred to by my name, it was “white girl”. I was “cool for a white girl” I was “one of the good ones” I was”pretty for a white girl”. I had teachers say to me in class discussions that essentially I wasn’t allowed to have an opinion because I am white. I had a friend steal my concealer and paint her entire face with it and go around pretend to be a white person, in an extremely stereotypical manner. And there was a time that I wished I wasn’t white. I avoided having white friends. For a while I myself was racist towards white people. And this is so prevalent in our culture. The entire corporate industry profits off of hyper liberal ideology, and encourages it because rage is profitable. If corporate America backs this ideology, then minorities do have the power to “punch down”. When Biden says he is going to choose a black woman for Supreme Court. That means everyone else because of their race and gender is not even going to be considered for that job. Minorities have the political, corporate, and cultural power to be systematically racist. I am so glad that diversity is prevalent in these positions, because that’s what America is about. We are melting pot, and it’s beautiful. Racism most definitely exists towards minorities. It is societally unacceptable to be racist towards minorities, as it should be. But it isn’t towards white people, and if things continue. Which they will if not intervened, we will repeat history. Because the younger generation believes these extremes, and they will be our presidents, CEOs, bosses, news anchors. I have little cousins being taught in public school it is oppressed vs oppressor. A little eight year old has developed a deep self hate because of her whiteness. In history the pendulum has been on the other side and it has swung to the other side, and will continue to swing farther unless stopped. History will repeat itself.
I hope your comment goes viral. I’ve had a similar experience in my work place and it continues every single day. Nothing is done about it and people defend it.
Thank you for sharing your experience, and sorry you had to go through that. I feel like what has increasing been happening with our culture is that people who have felt discriminated don't want to end racism but rather turn the tables, revenge for what ancestors had done in the past and what a select few people have done in the present day. The solution to ending racism is simple (educate people to be good people, and don't put emphasis on skin color)
Lololss ya experience in school was nothing serious... Dancing, food with no seasoning, and no rhythm ?!... Lol those are just funny stereotypes every race has. Your stereotypes are a lot nicer than black stereotypes. Lynching jokes, the N-word, blackface, cotton picker, porch m0nkey, Food stamps, etc... The list goes on. Now in 2023 every other week there's a video on social media with whyte teens not even cracking stereotypical jokes, but just being blatantly racist. I bet ya doing just fine as an adult now.
You are the voice youtube was missing: addressing double standards and social topics, while being polite, calm and smart. Great questions and great quality of conversations even with close minded people, you manage to let them express themselves. Fantastic job, keep it up!
As a dude with white skin. Who is half Mexican and half polish Jew. These self hating white people piss me off more than anyone else in the video. I can't imagine how actual full blooded white Christians feel about these absolute clowns
I'm Polish, so I'd be happy to talk to those people about oppression! :) How recent it was, how long this oppression lasted and how exactly it went down, who sold who and who did what. I don't really see ourselves repeatedly talking about being oppressed, even with Russian influence lasting until 34 years ago, not 340 years ago.
So true, for some reason Americans think that oppression only happened there, from white people towards black people.Everywhere else in the world, people just kinda moved on, but they just keep pressing the same button
I like how americans call white people "Caucasian" even tho most of Caucasus is still colonized by foreign power to this day. And the phrase "white people were never oppressed" is a whole new level of ignorance 🤡
I'm also Polish, I'm polish Jew and Mexican. What's crazy about all this hate on whites for slavery and racism is the fact that in the western hemisphere. It was actually a south American country to be the last country to end the African slave trade Brazil ended black slavery nearly 20 years AFTER Americans in the USA did. people have replaced learning about history with learning about activism and it's fucken crazy How can tikashi 69 have video where he is yelling the N word and you have a bunch black people dancing to it? They don't know Latinos also participates in the African slave trade
Being half white and half Native American and hearing people blaming me for all of the issues of the past is so bizarre. Every nation, every race, religion, just every group.... is guilty of something. It's the way the world has always worked.
Same. I’m a large part Ottawa and Blackfoot.. so funny when people starts talking shit to me about being white . And I introduced them to chief splitem wig.. I get violent towards racist of any color. We all bleed the same. Here I’ll show you.
I'm a white person. I was raised to believe all races were equal. Most of the white people I know where raised the same way, but I have experienced racism from people who aren't white. It hurts that only a non white person could make a video like this. I know a lot of non white people talk behind our backs, and I know I could never get across to them that I don't hate them.
I too was raised on MLK Jr's Dream speech. Apparently black Democrats never got the memo. Apparently black Democrats WANTED separate drinking fountains. Apparently black Democrats WANTED segregation. It's 2023, and not even two weeks ago I saw 3 racially segregated COLLEGE graduation ceremonies. For all that work republicans did to end systemic racism, Democrats sure are hellbent to be vindictive, dishonest, and mean-spirited about keeping racism alive. I guess that means Democrats care more about being disrespectful, dishonest, disloyal bigots, than calming the fuck down and just being a decent person. Democrats didn't really crank up their hatred of the rest of us until Donald Trump beat Hillary Clinton in an election.
as a white woman of almost 31 i have experienced racism from black people since my early 20s. ive been dissed just standing on a grocery line i was bullied at a work program to the point where i couldn’t continue. the staff told me there was nothing they could do even after my locker was broken into and i was robbed by one of the black girls that would not stop bullying me. if you wanna call me a complaining little white girl i really dont care. my step grandfather was from haiti i loved him very much and he helped me be humble and taught me to treat everyone the same. every year my clothes went to underprivileged girls in haiti. i may be white but im not racist and i do not deserve racism.
Yeah I am getting tired of the racism too. Learn to carry and use a firearm. Times might get tough. I have been punched in the face and beat up by black kids that I never knew the names of, and I said nothing to make them mad. Nothing happened to them at all.
Im so sorry gurl. Most of my family I think is racist. I hate to admit it but its true. Learn to fight get stronger, become a hard target instead of a soft target. In all actuality blacks descendant of slave in America are dying out as we speak. They worship their flesh their skin color instead of God. They worship dust and there is nothing everlasting about dust. They say we are 14% of the population but factually we are 13.75% and dropping rapidly. When the dust settles and law and order is restored the black population will be less than 5-6%. Black Gen z Mindset, Black Femicide on instagram, Jason Whitlock Channels and Ak Nation (who's content has gotten lukewarm) channels are documenting the controlled genocide by our own hand. We are looking into the eye of our own extinction by our own hand. So so incredibly sad if my grandparents had of worried and stressed over someone calling them a name they would have never left the house. These young people are standing on the shoulders of giants who made it too easy for them to complain about nothing. 15yrs ago preppers said get out of the cities. I say get out the of the cities don't just take flight but jettison yourself away from these low IQ people who are becoming more and more feral everyday. Very very very few blacks think like me and I have been officially ostracize from my community. I will never befriend another black woman let alone black man they are a conquered people marked for extinction. Keep your head a swivel and don't live near black single mothers.
Well that's because most black people don't call other black people out for being racist. I'm white and when I see a white person being racist I get in their face and I'm ready to whoop their ass and if more black people did that to other black people it would make a difference. When people get called out by their own people for being racist it makes them think because they don't expect it.
The world needs more love and less hate. We are more than our skin colors. Unfortunately, society today shuns individualism and wants to label everyone. If you label people into groups, it is easier to control the people.
I'm not from America, but I've experienced racism by my white American friend towards a black lady, a black guy against me and an islander against me. Feels like everyone can be from any race.
thats why your countries stay getting colonized yall slow af. you non fba stay losing and not catching on. matter of fact u better not be in the usa talking like this. We literally made it possible for u to come here
@fletchqc9900 This is just semantics you're getting caught up on. In "Reverse racism" the reverse part comes from racism traditionally being done by whites against blacks (or other POC's), so the white vs black is the part that's being reversed. Either you're really stupid or just playing on semantics? Either way unnecessary comment and tbh idc if you'd prefer the term revenge racism over reversed racism...
Racism is racism only has value at the vaguest of levels. There are many forms of racism and they aren't homogeneous such that they are identical to another. They have varying causes and as such potentially varying solutions. Any serious examination of a form of racism must take these particulars into account. So, yes... there is reverse racism, along with the many other specific forms racism can take.
@@fletchqc9900 It would not. Rather, it is a reversal of the effects of racism. The discriminatory practices are turned around such that the previous victims now benefit and perpetrators now suffer.
You can be racist towards anyone. If you either make fun of a race or if you are doing something only because of someone’s race it’s racism. Simple as that
the question is if the racism against whites is a problem. Obviously you can be racist to everyone. But it only becomes a problem if it targets a minority of a group. If black school has 1 white kid and they all discriminate against them then thats a big problem. If the whole school is white and the one black kid talks bad about white people then thats hardly oppressing anyone and shouldnt be taken seriously
The first woke people I met were my apartment roommates taking ethnic studies classes at UC Berkeley. 1 was African (not African American), another was Arab (Lebanese-American), and another was Asian (Korean-American), all about 50lbs bigger than me. Not because of anything I did, except push back against their drug experimentation & trashing of the apartment, but just because I was white and my mother was from Texas was I dubbed a racist, slammed against the wall and punched in the throat in order to get me to tolerate their behavior. Now, at UC Berkeley back in 2003, I was a minority by ethnicity (which was new for me, coming from Utah), but Wokeism was a minority by ideology, so I had no idea what was going on, & wanted to focus on college. Looking back, it all makes so much more sense.
I think making jokes about race is all good you know, but saying you can’t be racist to white people or that white people created racism is just stupid.
One-sided view you have. Black/white racism runs deeper than you'll EVER know. Historically this is proven TIME & TIME again, even by scholarly whites. Often has very little to do with one's actions; the covert, unconscious racism is always present. Consider two mere concrete sources: "Black Like Me" by John Howard Griffith AND the updated version/experiment by a Univ. of MD student. And secondly the infamous baby doll experiment where BABIES gaze at the white dolls and cry at the sight of black dolls. There's isn't enough internet bandwidth or earthly time to adequately prove such a monstrous reality.
@Ethan Elston your own actions, failures, things you need to work harder on etc. instead of going “well it’s systemic racism keeping me down” you can instead do some self reflection and think “hm I could have done this and this better” or something like that. Doesn’t require intelligence like you suggest, just requires responsibility and discipline. You seem a little upset so I’m gonna go ahead and wish you a good day ❤
As an non white immigrant who moved to the USA in the late 90s as a kid, most of the prejudice I have experienced first and secondhand has been from black Americans. By a longshot. I've lived in majority black towns and worked around mostly black people and I have never heard any other ethnic group talk so badly about another the way they do about white people. Not just at work either. I have been hearing hateful comments since 5th grade. It's gotten a lot worse in the past decade or so.
What immigrant calls themselves a non white immigrant instead of their nationality? Something ain’t right. Anyway, I grew up predominantly around black ppl and as a black person we rarely discussed white people bc we have our own problems. As a teen I grew up around more diverse groups and no one talked about white people. You’re pushing a falsehood. Only in the past 10 years have black ppl started to stand up against racism again.
That’s why it’s more so a class problem. It’s easier to blame someone than take responsibility. It’s not like low income places are to blame completely as the government also has some responsibly as well.
To me obama being president was like the equilivent of affirmitive action applied to a presidential election, he was voted in mainly due to the color of his skin half the time he didnt say anything just said "change" over and over.
My white daughter joined a black club at school. The club said that everyone was welcome. Before the first meeting she received an email saying that only students of color should come to the first meeting. She never tried to be part of the club again.
This video needs to blow up, it makes so many good points and shows how some people can easily change definitions of things just to justify thier own racism
Its funny how nobody tought these people history at all. Some recent cases of oppression where whites were heavily inbolved actually happened but mostly throughout histroy everyone oppressed everything the could. Im from georgia we are the origin of white race and we were here long before most cultures existed, mongolians persians iranians russians turks africans romans the nazis byzantines the greek huns pechenegs osmalians - this are the peoples who tried to take our land, have tarniahed our history, raped and pillaged our cities and villages.. we still butchered all of them and we love and respect every single gueat from any country to our land with love and understanding. ❤❤❤ These guys are uneducated weasels full of hate and jealousy.
Great video great analysis...with a couple of exceptions, the media and one unexamined area education. The media is and has been race baiting for years now because outrage sells...all for politics and profits. The US education system has become a perverted enterprise where they teach self-hate as "it's not okay to be white". So while people claim intergenerational trauma with "experts" support, the "education" induces divisiveness and "trauma" indoctrination disguised as education...while disabling future generations with concepts like 2 + 2 = 5 and "assigned gender".
Kudos to the creator for featuring the most thoughtful, sincere (even if misinformed or misguided) respondents from a diverse range of views. Other channels i've seen have a clear agenda and were obviously just out to ridicule certain demographics/ viewpoints.
I was a white girl in east LA in the 80's, I can definitely tell everyone I was picked on, beat up, talked down to and bullied by every other color because of my color. It hurts no matter what color you are, which is why I don't look down on anyone for their color. There were some of other colors that showed me they were pretty chill with me but not always. I moved to a lot of schools growing up and it was everywhere.
Except race isn’t just about skin color And i really question what you were taught in school Do you really think for example what differentiates a white european dutch from an east asian japanese to an african congolese is just skin color Are you serious? Everytime americans boil down differences between ethnicities as just skin color , is hilarious and really shows ignorance Your education system needs a reform America claims to be tolerant yet at the same time that tolerance is built on complete ignorance and not accepting of differences
Doritobug@ One day, in Mecca, the Prophet Muhammad pbuh dropped a bombshell on his followers: He told them that all people are created equal. “All humans are descended from Adam and Eve,” said Muhammad in his last known public speech. “There is no superiority of an Arab over a non-Arab, or of a non-Arab over an Arab, and no superiority of a white person over a black person or of a black person over a white person, except on the basis of personal piety and righteousness.” Chapter 49, verse 13 of Islam’s sacred scripture, the Quran, declares: “O humankind! We have made you…into nations and tribes, so that you may get to know one another. The noblest of you in God’s sight is the one who is most righteous.” Islam is another word for peace, the peace of mankind. It talks about the oneness and unity of humanity. We can see Islam emphasizes a lot for the rights of humanity as we can see many sayings of Quran and Hadiths. We have shared some best Humanity quotes. Let’s serve humanity and spread love. What Quran says about Humanity: And serve Allah and do not associate any thing with Him and be good to the parents and to the near of kin and the orphans and the needy and the neighbor of (your) kin and the alien neighbor, and the companion in a journey and the wayfarer and those whom your right hands possess; surely Allah does not love him who is proud, boastful; [An-Nisa, 4:36]

As a young white female, this video made me cry. I finally felt seen in my feelings and all of the nights I cried because of people telling me they outright hate white people, felt validated. Thank you so much for seeing me.
“Why is it always the problem that we’re talking about and not the solution.” Probably the best quote I’ve ever hear in my entire life. She is wise beyond words. 6:41
The problem with being a white person is if you think a bit different with your povs in racial discussions or debates you can easily be gaslighted as racist so that’s why a lot of white people are uncomfortable talking about race. Someone uses the buzz word “racist” then a white man has to write a whole damn essay as to why he’s not racist
The insane thick irony of some privileged white people in the video flat out ignoring all the suffering of normal hard-working white people. They are exactly the kind of elite, they ironically complain about. Not to mention that there was never a place on earth that didn't practice slavery and in fact, nobody fought harder against slavery than white people.
Double think is a powerful thing, and to those who don't see it, they are locked within its cages. I see so many people only holding two contradictory ideas at a time.
I grew up being raised by my grandmother. She said “ Treat everyone like you’re blind. Only judge by the words that come out of their mouths.” I am now a paramedic. I love it because not only do I get to take care of everyone regardless of race and financial status and I do it with an open mind and heart. 🥰
These types of racists don't like that mindset because it actually fixes the problem. If the problem is fixed, they lose their power. Treating people as equals and letting their actions dictate their standing is exactly how you should go about life, regardless of what people say about that.
Growing up in 70s snd 80s it seems we are going backwards, at least where im from. I know we all had dofferent experiences. I grew up in small country town with lots of mexicans, Vietnamese, and blacks and it was never an issue. Its crazy that this thoughts are happening now
I think that as a white person myself, it feels wrong to see how flippant people can be about racism towards white people, especially when being raised I was always taught by my parents and grand parents to treat everyone with respect and always grew up around people of all cultures. Looking at society today and seeing all these terrible things being said makes it almost feel like those lessons and morals my brother and I were taught as kids aren’t reflective of the real world and it hurts to see.
Those lessons are reflective of how people should treat each other but sadly not of other people are taught to treat us, stay strong and remember just because you are supposed to treat others with respect doesn't mean you should always be nice or patient with those whose hearts are full of hate.

One of the lessons you can learn from this video is that knowing history is very important. When you study history you find out that nothing is as ‘black and white’ as it might look at first sight, there is always more to it.
Both my parents are white and were dirt poor. My mom made her own clothes out of CURTAINS. Growing up, my dad was a truck driver, and my mom worked two jobs to support the family. I went to college and paid for it with federal student loans - I am still in debt, I also worked during high school and college. I currently work hard and make a good living. Anyone can be anything they want to be, but it takes WORK. The majority of people out there who make a good living WORKED HARD to make that happen.
i'm an indonesian who live my life since birth in indonesia. i have always been taught that racism mean discrimination against a group of people with no exception since i was a kid. i also learned how brutal were the dutch and especially the japanese when they colonized us but i have never been told to hate on them, to blame them, to discriminize them. i always see people as equal, if i see a white man on the street i wouldn't see him as an "opressor" or a "colonizer", same thing when i see japanase person and i expect them to see me as a person too, not a lesser one, not a victim, not a weak person that need special treatment but as an equal. And its not like my people havent done anything wrong in the past. every part of group always have a bad side, no matter the race, gender, religion, nationality. for example when my people tried to do ethnic cleansing to chinese people back then, yeah we who were victim of colonizations also tried to do nasty and horible things to other group of people after we were free of opression. it always amuse me how some white people are actually ok or even advocating other white people to "white guilt" like they have no respect for themselves. if some chinesse kid starts talking shit to my face because the action of my people in the past, i would smack them. because what those people did in the past have nothing to do with me and i will not let anyone to berate me just because i happen to have the same race and ethnicity with those shitstaain.
White guilt....I'm amused too. There are many in my country, Australia, that hate their own race and go on about how white people are inherently racist and even if you say you aren't, you are. Unconscious bias etc. Australia Day is a national holiday in my country and it marks the landing of the first fleet in 1788. As a white person , my whole life Ive been protecting color skined people from my racist family and getting into big arguments with them. However , its really sad how now people on the internet stereotype me , disrespect me and genuinely hate me , because of my skin color. Im really disappointed from society.
only a small fraction of people are like this, they're just the loudest. it's always important to keep that in mind before judging the internet as a whole!
The lady with her boyfriend who was talking about love and connecting with each instead of calling out the problems all the time has her head and heart in the right place.
Despite how revolutionary Martin Luther King's "i have a dream" speech and quote was, its actually pretty fucking simple. don't judge people on the color of their skin, but rather the content of their character. and that person could be white, black, Asian etc. is it that hard?
Diversity training at work years ago, when the instructor asked us to divide by race, I went with the minorities. A woman I'd known over a year said she thought I was white and asked what my ethnicity was. I said, I'm native American. She said, oh I can see that. I'll be nicer to you.

I grew up in a predominantly black inner city school and got called “white b!tch” come graduation day the people I considered my best friends didint even know my real name, like how does that happen?? I felt horrible and I understand the black community has experienced that for years but doing back to generations who are trying to actively demolish racism is just going to continue the cycle
fr like although the black community suffered for so long and have intergenerational trauma it's still wrong to be racist to anyone, two wrongs don't make it right
I also went to a school for about 2 years from 6-7th grade and I was the only white girl, I didn't think anything of it at all when I came to that school, till I started getting bullied for my skin and getting jumped in the locker rooms. Being called "Snow bunny, White chick, Cracker" I hated my skin for a very long time and wished I was black too tbh, my mom ended up having to pull me out of the school because the teachers didn't care either. Glad you introduced Thomas Sowell in this discussion. I am Asian, and listening to Sowell opened my eyes on the matter of "racism" in the US. You can be racist towards any race, including your own race. You are judging someone by someone's ethnicity and skincolor and culture, and not the person's individual character or behavior.
The way that girl responded to the Lebron james analogy had me fucked up. How is the situation even kind of different? you were simply asking if he was more privileged which is absolutely true. I love how you caught her off guard with that you can tell she pretty much realizes the double standard and chooses to continue with it
I think that is an incredibly important point. There are white children neglected, abused, impoverished, and hungry all throughout the US, but they won't get any compassion from liberals and POC simply because they are white. Meanwhile, wealthy black children are oppressed. It's really sick. These people literally hate white children.
What I love about this video is that it doesn’t try to force an agenda on you. Instead it gives you the information and allows you to make up your own mind. Kudos to GEN for making an incredibly thought provoking video.
its easier to bitch about a problem instead of fixing said problem. A lot of people today for some reason think by screaming about a problem its helping because they think by doing that someone else will fix the problem. No one is going to fix the problem if you just scream at others about it, they will just associate the problem with hate and avoid it. Thus the problem is never fixed. Cultures through history have used racism as a way out for their problems. Oh? we have problems.. well it must be this race or group causing all the problems! Blame placing and gas lighting others is way easier than actually fixing the problems. Thus we are doomed to repeat this cycle over and over. Specially when people can use this hate as a political or business weapon to benefit themselves through greed instead of help. You fool people into thinking you are helping when you are actually using them as stepping stones for your own goals. If racism vanished how could the media bank off this? Business on purpose gear people into hate so they can make money off it. Why fix a problem when you can use it to fuel a business? Imagine a world where people never groomed others into hating others. Well I believe in "X" thus you must also be against me because you dont believe in "X". Oh gee well guess I should believe in "X" cause I dont wanna be hated. its stupid crap like that which is why we cant push forward. If people would just make their own views about things and judge each person on their own actions instead of a group and be more educated to avoid grooming and gas lighting. We would probably be in a better place. The power to manipulate others is an unbeatable force because we need one another to exist. We put trust and faith into our fellow people and they can use that to just rob you blind. This is what makes the difference between a good person and a bad person.
because the grift only makes money off the problem, if it was solved then so many 'anti racist activists' would go broke. they want racism to be a bigger and bigger issue. they fan the flames because they only profit off it while its burning.

100% you want respect ? you give respect!
EDIT: Since people are still refusing to listen, here are some quotes that might make you a bit less comfortable with whitewashing him:
“The evils of capitalism are as real as the evils of militarism and racism. The problems of racial injustice and economic injustice cannot be solved without a radical redistribution of political and economic power” - March 30, 1967
“The price that America must pay for the continued oppression of the Negro and other minority groups is the price of its own destruction” - July 4, 1965
“White Americans must recognize that justice for black people cannot be achieved without radical changes in the structure of our society” - 1967
“Loose and easy language about equality, resonant resolutions about brotherhood fall pleasantly on the ear, but for the Negro there is a credibility gap he cannot overlook. He remembers that with each modest advance the white population promptly raises the argument that the Negro has come far enough. Each step forward accents an ever-present tendency to backlash” - 1967
“I must confess that over the past few years I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate.

Yup.
Here is an essay that I wrote about about it.
Title: "The Power Dynamics of Racism: Exploring the Notion that **Only Whites Can Be Racist in the United States**"
In examining the concept that only whites can be racist in the United States, two prominent authors, Ijeoma Oluo in "**So You Want to Talk About Race**" **and Robin DiAngelo in "**White Fragility,**" shed light on the systemic nature of racism and its relationship with power dynamics.
This left me questioning the competency of our world history classes in school...

Which, in practice means that in the end, i agree with you and indeed it is talked about quite often but the communication is so different that it doesnt connect well enough in some sense.

I'm glad you made it out. I lived and worked in poor and blue collar neighborhoods in Baltimore for 11 years.
"White people invented racism" might be the most ignorant thing someone has ever said
There seems to be two ways one can understand racism:
1. The belief that one's own race is superior to another, and the use of that belief to discriminate against people from other races.
2. The result of a system that creates a power dynamic related to which race one belongs to
If we assume the first way, then racism is not a thing that is invented. If we assume the second way, racism is something that is invented, and is invented by the people who create the system that results in the oppression. Those who think of racism in the second way refer to the first way as "racial prejudice."
Those who think of racism in the first way generally will say things like "reverse racism is just racism" or "black people can be racists towards white people." Those who think of racism in the second way generally will say things like "there is no such thing as reverse racism" or "all white people are racist."
In the past, by racism was usually meant the first way, but now, often the left are meaning by racism the second way.
For example:
1)imagine a cop pulls over an African American male and treats him unreasonably
2)imagine an agent in a security line for a plane pulling aside a middle eastern person
3)imagine someone asking another person of Latin descent if they are an illegal immigrant
A person who defines racism as having a systemic component would say all or most of those are examples of systemic racism.
The sad part is these people vote.
The fact that in the US people constantly defines themselves by their skin color is insane. It is basically saying "I'm not like you" as an introduction to other people. What good can come from this?

I immigrated to LA with my family from Taiwan when I was 13, I was told by some of my Taiwanese teachers expecting racism from both white and black, and I was living in a white neighborhood and attending to a white high school, I didn't experienced any racism at all, people were too curious about me since it's their first time seeing an actual Asian from Asia, they were more curious and just friendly to help me out.
But I don't feel too bad for these Chinese kids though, because they were pretty hateful toward me too, just because I'm a Taiwanese(due to geopolitical and historical tension), and even after I tried to help them with translation since many of them don't understand English at all, once they found out I'm from Taiwan, they instantly show you an unwelcoming face, and they just stick in their own little Chinese student circle
I thought it's only in high school of that area, but I was wrong, college in that area are also filled these kind of Asian Americans who judge Asians or another Asian American, and even now when I go to that area, I can still sense it, the way they look you, the tone they speak, it's not everyone of them but still, you can run into one if you stay there for a day.
Now I wondering if it's the same for white people and latino people, this is crazy.
@yaya5tim ,
I can't speak for LA, but in the Mid West I didn't see any really bad hate between Latinos and Whites.

I learned that people are different and not all blacks are alike when I was a child. I had good friends living in a black neighborhood but one boy who was much older obviously hated me because I was white and proved it by his actions. My mom went to his home after he had pushed me from behind and made my nose bleed. She said his mother started to cry and didn't want the boy's father to find out because he "beat him real bad." Now, I wonder what she went through in the summer between fifth and sixth grade that made her hateful towards me.

Wouldn't reverse racism be not being racist? Since it's reverse racism

But it only becomes a problem if it targets a minority of a group. If black school has 1 white kid and they all discriminate against them then thats a big problem. Now, at UC Berkeley back in 2003, I was a minority by ethnicity (which was new for me, coming from Utah), but Wokeism was a minority by ideology, so I had no idea what was going on, & wanted to focus on college. Looking back, it all makes so much more sense.

that is messed up bruh
Shoulda said something immediately, called her out infront of everyone else. We only get past this social behavior when we openly treat it as inappropriate.
The first problem was that you guys were divided per race. You are all Americans, that’s what matters.
I'd probably respond with something like "And from now on I will pester you about taking my land"
its the left illness right there
"If equality is achievable, it's never through hate". Great video, thank you.
Compassion is not the answer in the face of abuse. I would never consider anyone who is racist towards me my friend. They would be closer to my enemy.
fr like although the black community suffered for so long and have intergenerational trauma it's still wrong to be racist to anyone, two wrongs don't make it right
I also went to a school for about 2 years from 6-7th grade and I was the only white girl, I didn't think anything of it at all when I came to that school, till I started getting bullied for my skin and getting jumped in the locker rooms. Being called "Snow bunny, White chick, Cracker" I hated my skin for a very long time and wished I was black too tbh, my mom ended up having to pull me out of the school because the teachers didn't care either. But still to this day I will never hate or judge someone for their skin, even though I had it happen to me. Spread love not hate people.
@@DovahkiinLive this is inspiring, thank you for sharing. I believe you're a great person and spreading hatred is never the answer to any problem. Be happy and bless you, I hope you will find the same kindness in people around you.
@@YakubiteZillions Tell that to the black dude who made friends with over 200 KKK members.
I think the solution is to promote and normalize having leaders, mentors, role models, and heroes of all races and cultures. Keep covering this topic and help stop racism!
The person who said White people created racism got me dead 💀 anyway anybody can be racist towards any race
He'll probably pee himself when he learns that it was called the Slave TRADE, for a reason. Africans selling their own by literal boatloads, particularly in the West for ease of transport, is not an often taught fact in schools.
whats better is when people say 'reverse racism'... shows their iq quite nicely
Rite I dunno why they would say that. Pure ignorance.
He thinks all non-whites are peace pipe smoking hippies...Meanwhile Africa and the Middle east has more slaves today than the entirety of human history combined.
They did
Thanks for making this video man. I went on a date the other day and the girl kept mentioning her disgust with white people, (she thought i was Hispanic) and then when I asked if it disgusts her that I’m white, she was shocked and asked for the check 😂 dodged a bullet. True story too. Insane.
Wow this girl sounds terrible, you got lucky you found that out quick!
Are you Italian? We tend to have darker skin. Also most Hispanics are White, they did terrible things to Natives and Black Hispanics as well and yet they get the right to be called a minority.
@@Kingofportals no one talks about how Spain colonized as well.
@@jameskason8320 100% true, and the descendants of these colonizers pretend to be oppressed “minorities” and yet they are worse often than the English Americans!
@@Kingofportals I'm spanish, every time i hear latino americans make racist remarks towards white people, i'm like bitch, you are white XD
Thanks for delivering this incredibly important message to an audience that desperately need it.
I love how you caught her off guard with that you can tell she pretty much realizes the double standard and chooses to continue with it
A lot know of the double standard and take advantage of it existing.
That's part of the reason it won't go away easily.
Yo for real aint that some double standard shit???
It's just racism, if you can't admit that a multi millionaires son is more privileged that a basically homeless white kid, you are racist.
I think that is an incredibly important point. There are white children neglected, abused, impoverished, and hungry all throughout the US, but they won't get any compassion from liberals and POC simply because they are white. Meanwhile, wealthy black children are oppressed. It's really sick. These people literally hate white children.
Time stamp that ish man!
What I love about this video is that it doesn’t try to force an agenda on you. Instead it gives you the information and allows you to make up your own mind. Kudos to GEN for making an incredibly thought provoking video.
This is what social dialogue _should_ look like.
Sometimes later, he will be unjustly branded "alt-right" or "white supremacist"

"Why is it always the problem we talk about and not the solition" that is one hell of a line
Because people don't want peace. Peace is boring, they want problems to keep them entertained.
its easier to bitch about a problem instead of fixing said problem.
We talk about what we have.
because the grift only makes money off the problem, if it was solved then so many 'anti racist activists' would go broke. they want racism to be a bigger and bigger issue. they fan the flames because they only profit off it while its burning.
@Tbone272 YUP! Another thing is a lot of this racism in generational. So it's taught by families who indoctrinate their children which teaches them to be a certain way towards white people. Aka anyone with pale beige skin. Bc apparently, you don't even have to be full on European to get a racist comment for being white. Its crazy
What’s going on with people? I read some of the comments, and it’s like no one is addressing the real issue - they just throw around new buzzwords like ‘woke,’ without understanding their meaning. The truth is simple: you won’t earn respect if you don’t show respect. If you keep making the same mistakes, you’re just digging your own grave. In the end, it’s not about how we feel; it’s about the energy we put out into the world. People need to realize that what you send out will eventually come back to you. You have to rise above things like racism on your own. And if you can inspire even one person in your lifetime, you’ve fulfilled your purpose. I am Inuit myself and that's what my dad taught me!
