Just picked up the Harry Potter version, can't wait to try it out. I'm new to Strike. Looks simple enough to pick up and I like the idea of just playing the regular version with HP Strike, if I decide it's better. Thanks!
I bought the Harry Potter version thinking it would be the best of both worlds, however I've since learned that the quality of the dice in the original game is much better. Is that true?
Hey.....if 2 Accio are rolled and nothing else is in the arena, would that player "collect one" from the X discarded dice or they are just out of luck and get no extra one? Thank you
I may not have explained it correctly, but you take all of the accio dice to take one accio action. You would only ever get one accio action as a result. It’s been a bit since I’ve played, but I believe that is correct. 😬
If you choose normal strike because the rules are simpler, but can also play the Harry Potter one with those rules, why not choose the Harry Potter one
The Harry Potter version seems to add some unneeded complexity into a simple game. I don’t care anything in the world about Harry Potter, so I think I would just get the regular version. I know the “Theme” is gladiators in the arena; I wish they had made the dice a bit more thematic in that sense. Perhaps crossed swords instead of just X’s. However, I’ve wanted this one for a while and will have to pick this up as soon as I can. I actually saw the regular version at Target just the other day.

For me, if I only had one, I think the dice pips are clearer on vanilla Strike.
@@MeepleTown What is vanilla strike?
@@alfonsovallejo6863 It just means normal Strike.

You can play regular Strike with the HP version. Just ignore any spell activations.
