    Soooo sick! Nicely put together! I think you got it right those climbs you just need to sprint like Lance Armstrong😅😅

    • @Dialed1
      @Dialed1  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Minnesota MTB Thank you! I appreciate that! The climbs are brutal, I don’t know if I could Lance it up like that in one go, it takes a tremendous amount of physical output to even do it in sections. But yea, If you can drop the hammer down on some of those crux sections; The momentum is key to aiding in that! Thanks for watching, I’m stoked you dug this!

      Stone Age is an amazing trail! That is a solid and ambitious goal, I had this same goal at one point, I’ve yet to clean all the tech uphill moves first go; I’m thinking with repeat attempts on this trail, I’ll get there. On paper it doesn’t sound so bad at just over a mile long, but in reality this trail requires the full MTB skills package. Let me know if you get it! If not at least you’ll stay fit trying!🚲🔥🚲🔥😎

    My first time "riding" Stone Age was just after a slight rain. Slick rocks on unfamiliar territory made me hike-a-bike 3/4 of it. I was determined to clean it after that. I have yet to ride the whole thing dab free. It's in my top 3 favorite trails.

    Nice work! You owe your camera person a raise. That's a lot of running around! Also get a bike rack for that car.

    • @Dialed1
      @Dialed1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Kris Yahner, Haha $$; Yea that’s my good buddy who lives in Duluth; He did an amazing job, especially with no training and just handing him a GoPro. I was astonished to find out that we got every single shot I needed post ride to include every square inch of this trail which was one major goal of this project.
      And yes, what I thought was gonna maybe be an hr or two was more like 4-5 hrs and like you said a ton of running around, going back down and back up to make overlap for the seamless riding effect. I was exhausted for about 3days.
      And the car, I’ve been doing that for years, I actually prefer it on solo long trips; better MPG, less worry of theft for a much deserved ribeye post ride, but yea was thinking a sea sucker at some point, any experience? I appreciate you watching, glad you enjoyed! Cheers!

From the climbs to the descents, It’s a Masterpiece for the MTBer that wants to Challenge all aspects of there riding ability’s. So on a scale of 1-10 how exhausting would this be if you were doing it all in one go? The way you're charging up the climbs while standing is awesome, but I know I'll need to sit a lot. I hiked Ely peak once when I was up in Duluth and our day's ride plans got rained out. I'm sure these climbs will kick my ass. BTW: Great video!

    • @Dialed1
      @Dialed1  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Clayton, for me it’s a 10. To be honest I’ve never tried to do this trail in one go, especially charging up it. If I were to try, I’d granny gear to recover in the sections that I could. The thing is, there are so many sections on this trail (at least for me) require a good amount of momentum to clean which also zaps energy. I would guess there are a handful of elite Duluth riders that can clean this first go; I know of only one person that has claimed this feat. Riding it more than a few times Definitely helps too; There are a few moves in there you’ll wanna scope out before you send.

      @Dialed1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Absolutely, had to give it another ride! love this trail! Stoked that you dug it, and I appreciate the support. I’m assuming you’ve rode this trail?
      The bike is a 2020 Patrol X01 Build. Only mods are an aluminum rocker and the Enve wheels. Fun bike! Great for Spirit and Giants ridge bike park laps and even ride it in the metro unless I’m doing elm creek then I pull out the 29” XC/trail bike. Thinking of getting something that blurs these lines though as the patrol is overkill for almost everything metro. And my XC is overwhelmed. Any ideas on a good quiver killer for city trails? I still want to get rowdy but have something more efficient. Was kind of thinking SB130..
