- For today's video we check out this new double black diamond trail on Ely's Peak. This was quite the experience and eye opening to what possibility's this area has to offer for trails just like this. The trail is only a mile and a quarter but feels like 5 miles just due to the rocky tech slowing you down along the way. This may of been above my pay grade but I was still confident that I could ride most of it safely. Be mindful this is a trail for advance riders and has full commit features that are high risk so keep this in mind. Go and put this place down on your list to ride next season! Enjoy!

I’m all for technical and difficult trails being built. There’s quite the abundance of machine built flow trails, which are fun but more variety is nice. So seeing stuff like this gets me excited. Even if it’s a few hour drive for me. Great video!

I didn't know what to really expect but one thing was for certain the climbs would be rough...and my legs even rougher the next day😅

Duluth has so much terrain that builders haven't even tapped yet! There's more trail potential in West Duluth for sure.
just rode this trail yesterday! had to come back and re-live it! its such a great trail, I absolutely ate it on that double at the end tho lol

I gave this a try when it opened. I'm not that much of an experienced trail rider but gave it a shot. My trials background helped a lot but this really turned into a hike for me haha. I'm sticking to the mission creek trails.
