Well guys we salvaged the Boom Mat install video with a podcast style voice over and we think it came out pretty good! Be sure to check out the channel for the makers of Boom Mat, Design Engineering, Inc (TH-cam.com/user/DesignEngineering) #DesignEngineeringInc
This is really cool. I know TJ's have a pretty noisy interior compared to the JKs/JLs so the fact that this solution exists is really cool. Good video! I like the podcast format
Thanks! We've got another one of these podcast style ones coming on a Steinjager steering linkage install on the same Jeep because, well, we didn't catch the mic problem until after both videos were filmed lol
We haven't heard of this being an issue and ours has been in this TJ for about 3 years now, never had any condensation issues with it. Thanks for the question!
It’s been a year now, I think from what TH-cam is showing me… How is the headliner holding up? Getting ready to do the same install myself. Just wondering how it’s holding up?
Its great! Still the same as when we put it in. No sagging, it hasn't gotten dirty or anything and it really, really helped with the overall sound deadening in the TJ. Top has been off a couple times and the rig has been daily driven and wheeled a bit with the doors off as well. We've got a JK also that is decidedly quieter inside already, but we are probably going to add this to the JK in the future as well. So short answer, holding up great! Thanks for the question!
I installed one in my TJ… Put a short video up with a few tips… Linked to your video to mine because you guys did a much more detailed install video. th-cam.com/video/JWW_GMPSTuY/w-d-xo.html
Well see we built that cabinet ourselves and Jake said we should use a level and I said nah just eyeball it, it'll be fine, and that's the result! Actually we somehow didn't get a camera on both of us so we had to grab two different shots at two different angles and splice them together.
That top is crazy heavy and we really don't like taking it off unless its going to be off for a while. If we had a hoist or something it would have been super simple but for us, just lifting it up and working upside down was much easier than pulling the whole top. But again, the instructions say to pull the top and flip it like you suggest. Thanks for commenting!

Awww!! Jeep doggy is helping!🥰😂

y'all: "wouldn't wanna increase the weight"
every jeep everywhere: has massive steel bumpers and enormous suspension
Which is exactly why you need to save weight where you can! lol
This is really cool, always thought Jeep cheeped out on the head liner. This seems like a really cool and pretty easy upgrade.
Love to see more jeepin!

Sometimes my hardtop has water drip from the calling in winter from condensation, is this a problem with the headliner?

Nice job. What’s the matter with the cabinet door behind you guys🤔

@@MotorsandMischief lol
Does is it help with heat??
It does. It made a difference in both sound and heat. Thanks for the question!
Why not just take the top off and turn it upside down on the grass? Seems like it would be a hundred times easier
