This is a nasty setup, ultra lightweight compact powerful. I have the 35-150 Tamron bit much and heavy, but since the last time I commented I major upgraded to A7CR FF for the extra MP for cropping harder
This is the greatest lens I’ve ever had, paired with my A6400. Thanks for your video, and now I miss it again because I’ve upgraded my camera to the A7C II, paired with the Sigma 28-70mm f/2.8.😅
What a great POV I've been looking forwards to this. I have the 17-70 paired with my A6600. The POV content is superb. I am only a novice & still learning best camera settings for Street photography, Wither to stick to Shutter priority, Auto ISO for all moving images then switch to aperture priority for static. You make it look so easy & take pics very quickly. Im really looking forwards to getting better with my pairing. Eventually i will try full manual but will probably miss more pics due to set up time I will be watching your video Pros change this
That extra zoom power makes this lens so much more appealing as opposed tothe Sigma 18-50mm. Ugh I was set on buying the sigma seeing this, has me 2nd guessing 😢
Great setup i have this lens paired with my a6700 and i get such great comps i love it thank you for showcasing this lens and this beautiful camera set up
9:00 what you commented about this photo remembered me the first man ever being photographed, in that case an individual was on the final shot because he was the only non moving subject, the rest of the street looks empty. I refer to the "Boulevard du Temple" photograph, in Paris, 1838. maybe this is a concept we should experiment in street photography more, focusing on interesting subjects using long exposures and let other things move leaving trails on the frame. great job.
I've had both and can't fault either. Now have the Sony 16-55, just because I got it for a very good price and am very happy with it, but any of the three will do you well.
Would you recommend as a good versatile lens I mainly shoot cars but every now and then I do proposals or just portraits. You also inspired me to do street photography
I'm starting to upload street photography videos. I'm from Colombia and I hope to grow and continue learning. You did a good job, I congratulate you bro. I hope to have the support of a community like yours. Everyone is very respectful and kind.
I've done a few concerts/club/party photoshoots with this and the focal range is really good for these. It could be a bit wider in some situations but you can get by and the longer range comes really handy in many cases. On my a6400 in not so well lit situations at f2.8 I'm hitting 12800 ISO and 1/100th shutterspeed, but in many cases I have to lower the shutter speed to get a brigther image cause it's missing a 1-3 stops on average. A 1.4 prime would be the ideal in this situation, but you loose the zoom function. If you like doing low shutterspeed shots then low light is not a problem. On a really well it concert you can stay around 1600-3200 ISO which is still really good for a concert. I'm also using the Denoise in Lightroom and it removes the noise quite well. Some shots are still noisy but if you dont raise the shadows too much its not so noticable and it can fit the aesthetic. If you are on a thigth budget then this combo is really good bang for the buck. You can achieve really good result with this on concerts and can get paid for doing it, but if you need really clean low light images, then a Full frame is a much better option, but also much more expensive.
@@RRonventures You're welcome. I'm also thinking about getting a full frame for this reason cause at those lower shutters speeds I make a lot of unsuable blurred images. Also a big problem for me is that my Tamron 17-70mm F2.8 is getting a ton of dust inside after just half a year and it is noticable on the photos. I cant really recommend that lens because of this issue :/
Love all the pictures you took and it's good to also hear what you think when taking the pictures, I can learn a lot! Btw, I noticed you use DJI action 4 for your POV camera. Do you use external mic or in camera mic?
Cracking video Curtis, I think I’m definitely due another visit to the Big Smoke soon. I have that lens, it’s only been off my camera once since I got it but I’m using it with my A7iii, I do want a couple more lenses but not sure which to choose, I could really do with a long lens but something more budget friendly and that seems to be where I’m struggling.
