Hi guys, thanks for being so patient whilst the pov ready, as you can see it's quite a long video, actually the longest video I've ever done on the channel, so took a lot of editing and caused a lot of Adobe premiere pro crashes 😂💻 It's been great to see and hear so many of you also excited to see what I created in New York! I'm stoked to be finally sharing the first POV! I hope it's been worth the wait and thanks for checking it out! You guys are absolute legends! And without your support this trip wouldn't have been possible! YOU'RE ALL LEGEND! ♥️
Absolutely not too long at all! I find your videos fascinating, and your on-the-fly thought processes are so helpful as someone who's trying to improve their own photography.
I'm not a brand guy, as i love all the brands sincerely. However, as a Nikon shooter, that "rolly" wheel that Canon and Sony have is my biggest desire and a thing of envy. It makes reviewing images soooo much faster, easier and seamless than having to press/toggle to view multiple images at a time or zoom in and out of one.
Recently discovered your channel & this POV of NYC. I’m hooked & your style is infectious. I’ve recently returned from NYC myself & I wish I had a) a Sony; b) your talent and c) just a fraction of your enthusiasm! Congratulations Sir, you are terrific 👍
Hey Curtis thanks for such an incredible video. Your excitement for the city is only matched by your talent. I wanted to know if you had a guide to take you to all the amazing spots to shoot?
Well, what can I say Curtis, one of, if not the best Street Photography video I’ve seen on TH-cam ever. Had to wait until I had time just to chill watching one long video and it was well worth the wait, you looked like you had some serious fun, if knackering. NYC is a Bucket List dream location for me for Street Photography, along with Tokyo but it is only a pipe dream, unless I win some serious money that is. It was great seeing you just let loose and really go for it, you must have put in some serious mileage in and go through some SD cards and batteries, really great candid shots too but I must admit, your shots of the streets and architecture along with the China town cyclists were my favourites, just too much to remember. I think the one that stood out as NYC was the firefighters in front of the engine, just screamed New York.
I've just discovered your channel so I'm a little late to this video, but a big well done for sending the couple the photos of their proposal. That is very decent of you.
@@CurtisPadley The constant talking lol. I guess I'm used to the more calm and relaxing videos from Pierre T, Northborders, 7th Era, etc. It's something to get used to I think!
Curtis, next time u visit NY , I need to tell you that there is another higher level without Perspex on the Rockefeller Sky Scraper you might want to try. Nice video, from one Brit to another.
I'm always struggling with what aperture and shutter speed to go for a shot is it really just experience that I'm lacking or is there a trick to get used to it faster?
Great one Curtis,45 mins of pure New York city vibes. Specially loved the pics from Times Square but where is the flag? 😜 Just kidding, amazing job! 👏🏼
Hey Curtis, I loved this video and your edits so much that I purchased the preset pack. However I'm having issues transferring them to Lightroom on my phone. Are they not compatible with the mobile version? 😢
Hi Curtis, im currently debating with myself which camera I should go for. The two that I'm picking between are the Sony a6400 or the Sony a7ii. Which camera would you recommend me to buy?
Stellar post, Curtis! Would have been even better, IMO, as multi-part over several posts. Impressive mix of standard NYC comps and your own style of street photography. Smoking lady (8min), shadow shot on bridge, China Town Lee Insurance, and Central Park reflections my fav. See you encountered the Time Square Characters like Batman, Transformer, and Naked Cowboy - nice. Tough to get a passable image when shooting through heavy plastic for night photos; did they have camera portals? That “we just got engaged” couple -- an old scam; several pairs and returning couples every day😂.(Just kidding.) Did your planned meet-ups w/NYC based subscribers/followers work out as you expected and anticipated in pre-trip vid? No mention in this one. Hope you took a snapshot of the pancake😊. Could I interest you in a budget-friendly waffle?😊 Cheers!
56$ for pancakes reminded me of the most expensive meal that I've eaten - grilled sausage, a slice of bread and pickled cucumber for like 15$. That was in polish Tatra Mountains, I must have admitt that views were beautiful (unlike the price).
Question are you no longer a fan of the 16-35 mm ? Saw it wasn’t listed on your gear list anymore . I am about to purchase a a7iv and have enough for to lenses was thinking of doing Sony 16-35 gm and sigma 24/70 would that set me up for both hybrid photo and video?
Got ya do you think those two are the way to go? Or should I do one and a different prime ? Will be using your purchase links to pay back the great insight .
Apologies if I missed it, but does he mention which lenses he’s using? I know he mentioned the 70-200mm at the start but missed whatever else he said. I’d be grateful if someone could let me know :) Cheers
Hahaha, you're hilarious Curtis. Got here from Kyle's video. Love your POV, I'm a budding photography enthusiast from the Philippines. Hope to learn more from you.
