I want ReDeads, Poes, Playable zelda, the beetle, hookshot(s) and WolfLink. That would be cool. Also maybe throw in Ganondorf increasing in power as the game progresses, from his weakest to WW levels of intellect, magical prowess, and strength.

Heres an idea a much more Powerful Demise comes back with his entire army of demons from the underworld and Ganondorf joins us to put a stop to Demise as Demise is conquering the entire world.
Oh And Demise brings back all previous villains from the Zelda series in his ranks from Vaati, Majora, Malladus, Bellum, Dark Links,
      Agahnim ,Twinrova ,
Helmaroc King , King Bulblin , Zant , Yuga and more
And Ganondorf is like a good ally and itll be a huge twist and We will have the option to play as Link or Zelda omg that would be amazing !!!

Living Zonai would kind of nullify the entire reason they were interesting in BotW. That reason being, _they're all dead and nothing's left but buildings and clothes._ I think if any Zonai are in this game they're going to be ghosts and flashback characters like the Champions.

I think the Zonai are too big to be a throwaway element. The Lurelin area was huge, and you could play through the whole game and never see it. BOTW 2 was supposed to be DLC until it got too big and became its own thing. I think Nintendo had plans for it that they never put into the original game because they were saving it for what is to become BOTW 2.

Playing on too much nostalgia will kill the game. Doing this didn't make certain movies and games better, it cheapened the experience and seemed disingenuous. This had been a disaster for many franchises, please reference but do not rely purely on previous works for content.

but all of these gameplay elements and suggestions have been a staple of the series since ALTTP. It would be sad if they got rid of them forever.

    • @LinkHylia763
      @LinkHylia763 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Link70dx I was old enough to play through most iterations of the Zelda beginning with the NES through the switch. This game helps reset the idea of adventure and exploration as in the original. I think a better more flesh out story at certain achievements would work, but not the linear gameplay as we see in most Zelda games. Just relying on old elements such as linear gameplay, dungeons, and bosses takes away from what BOTW set in motion; we need to keep that open idea and make your own adventure out of the experience.

    • @Link70dx
      @Link70dx 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@LinkHylia763 I agree on making your on own adventure and a better fleshed out story but I must disagree on the dungeon and bosses aspect. One of the key ideas even in zelda 1 was having a large variety of dungeons, dungeon themes , enemy's and puzzles sadly breath of the wild lacks that.
I think we must have some sort of middle ground on both aspects because we're either gonna keep on getting games as linear as SS or have super open worlds like BoTW . maybe something along the lines of ALBW?

Well, depressing? No, that isn't a good direction for Nintendo to go. Serious, yes. Realistic, yes... well, as realistic as you can get with an elf boy waging a war against a demon pig across the expanse of time. Either way, a depressing storyline isn't the direction Nintendo can really go. It's a company that makes games that kids can have fun playing. You can't really have fun playing a game that depresses you, right? Because those two things are mutually exclusive. They can't be the same thing

    • @Werewolf914
      @Werewolf914 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@Darkstar I beg to differ, depressing games can be really fun, Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls (any Quantic Dream game really), certain part of TellTales TWD, parts of The Last of Us, Doki Doki Literature Club (which if you haven't heard of it, the game is a Psychological Horror game disguised as an innocent Dating Sim, I was skeptical at first because I don't play those games, but once the horror kicks in it's awesome), those are just some that come to mind. Everyone has different tastes, but imo there's nothing better than a story that either makes you want to cry, or actually does make you cry, in my opinion that's how you know the writer created amazing characters because they actually get you invested enough to cry over a fictional story.

The whole point of the clawshot is to navigate around gaps and up walls to otherwise inaccessible areas but with climbing and paragliding the need for that is entirely mute. Its crazy but, the more I think about it, the more I realize that BotW was missing key components that would have made it the perfect Zelda. Instead what we got was a Zelda game that tears away its flavoring for something different. Which does not bode well for me.
What would make the sequel 10x better than BotW:
Dungeons need to be themed and have more of them. 4 copy/ pasted temples was really lame.
Enemy variety. There are literally DOZENS of famous enemies from previous titles. We only got 5? 6?
Items need to come back. Fishing rod, Hook shot, Iron boots, Zora Flippers, Lantern, etc.
Story in BotW was really good, but the narrative was fucking atrocious. Take notes from Twilight Princess or Wind Waker.
Towns were ok, but the world felt so unpopulated at times.
Shrines were ok, up until about 50-60 of them. After that the monotonous theme and recurring puzzles made them a chore.
Korok seeds are so uninspired. I could not have cared less about collecting more than a few dozen of them.
Weapon durability needs a complete overhaul. It doesnt work for me. Im sure some people like it, but its so fucking annoying for the game to force me into "Big brain" mode. Sometimes I dont want to think about weapon conservation, I want to kick the shit out of some fucking moblins with my badass flame sword and not have it blow up after 2 enemies.

    - Greater enemy variety: Bring back Darknuts, armored enemies with certain vulnerability spots, some magic-wielding enemies, certain enemies being characteristic of certain regions of Hyrule and not just different colored Lizalfos.
    - More durable weapons: Maybe have fewer weapons but you can repair those and they don't just break but rather revert to a stage where they have to be repaired before they can be used again. Bonus would be an upgrade system for weapons like armors in BotW1.
    - Utility items: using the Sheikah Slate (and having unlocked all of its uses in the tutorial) didn't have the same feeling like acquiring the Hookshot or boots of speed in the previous games, there was no sense of progression there. So bringing back these utility items in dungeons for puzzle solving creates the actual feeling of having achieved something.
    - Real Dungeons and Temples: As said in the video, Dungeons have to make a return. The Divine Beasts and Sheikah Shrines are rather small and share a too similar aesthetic that they got boring rather quick. Also different bosses and minibosses alongside puzzle rooms.
    - Link needs some actual emotions for once: He seemed completely unfazed by any heartbreak thrown at him, he doesn't have to talk for that.
    - Change up links combat pattern, give the player more agency over how he attacks.

Unbreakable weapons, Dungeons, Tunic earlier on and Items. Earn cool stuff by playing the game, not buying amiibo. @@darxoonwasserHey, sorry I'm not trying to sound like an ass, but what exactly is the concept you are talking about? I don't get how my weapon breaking on what feels like every single time I use it on an enemy and have to interrupt my gameplay by freezing the screen to access a pop up inventory to choose another weapon thats just going to do the same thing in another short breath (see what I did there), fun. I have played tons of similar games with solid weaponry and they have been fine . I still played botw alot and it didn't really bother me as much as it sounds here, but to have it again in the sequel.. Meh 😕

A little dream of mine for BotW2 is a gigantic boss battle. But as you said, not just Link and Zelda, but rather all of the people of Hyrule. Gorons, Zora, Gerudos, Ritos, Sheikah, Koroks and of course the Hylians. I‘d like to see more strategy in Zelda battles. Not just using the Mastersword or bow&arrow or bombs. More like all tribes working together, using their abilities. For example, the Rito flying above the enemies firing arrows with their talent with bows, the Gorons using their incredible strength for throwing rocks or big bombs. The Gerudo could be useful in direkt combat (see Urbosa for example). And maybe the Zora could take some benefit from water?
BUT, the crucial point would be, that you, the player would be the one controlling all of that. Controlling the weapons, controlling the warriors, controlling the military lineup. All this, in your hands. Your decision how the battle would be passing off.
But you know, just a little dream.

If Nintendo can pull this off while putting Ganondorf on a Kefka (FFVI) level of evil, like the type of evil that makes you HATE him, we can see an incredible story unfold in front of us.
I wanna see stories of loss and devastation similar to those in Majoras Mask, stories that really connect you to the citizens of Hyrule on an emotional level. That emotion that makes you WANT to destroy Ganondorf.
This sequel has incredible potential to be one of the greatest games to ever been created by Nintendo.

Not clustered together, INDIVIDUALLY. I love their animations, the way they behave like primal humans, the challenge they can present, their occasional over the top attacks, how unique they are from every other Zelda boss and from each other, and how they all made the Calamity seem even more powerful through the fact that it can create intelligent life. I find it strange that the same team that made these thought that Dark Beast Ganon was anything close to a good finale.

I’m kinda hoping that the Zonai are actually traditional “monsters”. Like...all of them. Have Zonai be a sorta collective term or the name the monsters called their civilization before they became enthralled by Demise, wiped out by the hylians, or joined Ganondorf’s ranks in hopes for justice (only to often be turned on, depending on the ganon(dorf) incarnation).
The monsters have been shown to be intelligent since literally the first Zelda game. Some outright have their own societies you can sometimes visit, or “non monster” counterparts, or “non monster races” that at least briefly act like “monsters” (and are generally treated pretty poorly by hylians even in games where they don’t have a segment where they attack Link)
So, I’d like to see their origins actually explored. The “Demise/Ganon(dorf) Created Them” explanation is pretty eroneous even in the games where that’s said in-dialogue
...aaaaaand the hylians are extremely racist and xenophobic in all games

I disagree so much with a lot of these points even myself got surprised by it.
You want the Fairy Theme back, yeah thats nice and is a staple, I want it back as well but there are reasons for its exclusion for BoTW, you had a single file when the game released, and it was either start your adventure or continue it from the screen, it saved time and resources leaving it out, also it left the "press start" screen and the subsequent pick your file screen out, saving even more time.
Maybe if they added the Master Mode from the get go they can reintroduce the file select screen and the fairy theme alongside it since you can pick which difficulty you want. But do not expect that happening.
Second point, the music. Zelda has the most amazing themes out there, but I cant imagine hearing the music looping on the overworld map all the time. The idea of silence and some key notes here and there is fine.
The only way I see overworld music returning is making a theme for each region you visit and each town/settlement getting its own theme as well.
Please...stop assuming things, "the darkest Zelda ever" really? There is just one trailer, its true it was dark but that's not any indication of being the darkest Zelda ever made.
I like the enthusiasm, but that obsession over the Zonai race is quite outstanding, wonder why? Wanna feel you are right at something guys? Wanna tell, you where the firsts saying it so?
Anyways, this Zelda introduced a new race...the one you are so obsessed about, the Zonai. What we dont see is an actual member of said race alive in the game...or...do we now?
Expanding the overworld, hmm...rough, the world looked big to me, they might make it bigger but for what? So we later complain how empty it is?
The things we do agree are:
Master Mode shouldnt have been paid DLC
    Dungeons needs to return
A degrade system for weapons and shields instead of losing em froever
On quests, they were fine. Yeah they could have been better, but my true gripe about em is that rewards for going out to do em didnt feel rewarding enough.
This are some of the points I have, I can totally see myself on the other side of the spectrum when it comes down to fanbase and our ideas.

Just to point something out, Traditional Dungeons will likely not be making their way back the way we used to know them. Nostalgia can be quite the force, I fully understand that, but trying to put so much drive into Traditional Dungeons is going to end up ruining anybody's experience if they're not only expecting it, but feel obliged to get it. I personally prefer the open-world feel of the game, rather than the closed borders of a tiny plane. And before anybody accuses me, I have played through and completed both OoT and MM 3d, Skyward Sword, Four Sword download for the 3ds, Twilight Princes, Wind Waker and ALbW. I understand how Traditional Dungeons flowed. I get that people want them back, but don't want them so much that you'll end up not liking the game because they're not in it. Think about it logically, rather than wanting and hoping. The Zelda Team has put in a lot of time and effort to make BotW as amazing as it was. Their intent was to do away with everything we had put into a Zelda Game to make something new, something exciting. They completely reinvented the game for everyone! No more do you have to do everything in order to move on, you can choose how to progress! You are no longer locked to a sword, you can choose how you fight! The world no longer chooses how Link goes, we do. Traditional Dungeons are just a way to lock the player on a specific path, essentially no wiggle room. You want to go further in the story? Beat this dungeon, or go get this item to go into said dungeon.
I'll compare my last thought to an RP game. In Dungeons and Dragons, would you rather have a DM that railroads you to HIS/HER path, and force you back onto it anytime you derailed, or would you rather have the DM that lets you go anywhere because you can? A DM that has a living world is better than a DM with a static world. Having an overarching story is better than having a novel for you to play the main character in. It's the difference between night and day!
Each Shrine in of itself is its own mini dungeon, where you could die at any moment. Seems similar to the original LoZ, doesn't it? In every screen you could die at any moment. Heck, I still can't get past the first enemy screen I've found! That's what they were going for. They didn't want you to spend hours upon hours standing around the world you inhabited. They wanted you to explore, to find, to discover. Traditional Dungeons might seem like the quintessential part of Zelda games, but they're not. Think back to the first time you found a hidden grotto, or a hidden piece of heart behind a puzzle. That's what they were going for. I can understand that and enjoy the game as it is. I don't need Dungeons to dictate how I go about my business, I wanted to explore and discover.
Going onto the other points, I agree that the Zonei need to be more flushed out. But finding some alive? I've got no choice but to disagree. Their entire existence being shrouded in shadow is exactly why we like to talk about them. We know next to nothing about them, yet we know everything about them. We know that they were a powerful civilization, based on their structures. We know they had ties with the Shiekah, due to the Shrines. We know their place in the world, yet we know nothing about them. We just know them as a tribe that vanished mysteriously. Just like with how the Zelda Team left the Timeline spot ambiguous, so too will they with the Zonei, so that we keep talking about them, so that we keep coming up with theories about them. It's not about us fully knowing what and who they are, it's about us thinking about who they are.
The idea of a proper menu is ludicrous. There is no such thing as a proper menu. Original Zelda? It showed the title and some artwork of the game. Same with the sequel. The 3d games had little clips showing gameplay, sure, but it's not necessarily the 'proper' title. Going back to my original point about the Dungeons, it makes no sense for such a thing to determine if a game is good or not.
I fully agree with your point about the music. With this game being potentially darker than Majora's Mask, we will need a music theme that ties into the tone. Remember when we all thought that piano was a relaxing instrument? Blown out of the water with Guardians. What I'm trying to say is that yes, we'll need darker music for darker parts. But if we're in the middle of nowhere alone, without any enemies or people nearby, I'd still want the tones of the wild to follow. The game was all about exploring, and if you find yourself completely in the wild during it, I still want more slow-paced, airy music to go with it.
Also, in the distant past? Really? You think that we're going to see the time before BotW? That's quite the leap from everything else in this video. Is that how you're expecting us to see the Zonei? Let's look at all the other games in the series to see which ones would actually allow for a 10000 year trip. OoT? Nope, 7 years into the future. Link to the Past? No time travel here. Skyward Sword? Only a measly 2000 years. You get my point? We'd need something more powerful than the Gate of Time to go back that far. It's not very likely.
I will agree with you about greater customization, though. I'd love it, considering how great it'd be to combine effects from different outfits.
I can generally agree with you on most of your other wants. Weapon Repair and Upgrade? Yes please. A new area to explore? Not needed, but definitely appreciated if it happens! A deep story filled with lore? I can get behind that. I could even accept a timeline placement for the sequel, even though I'm pretty sure it'll be a converged timeline. A dangerous Ganondorf? Absolutely, no questions about it, I want it. If it's not in the game, I might be disappointed, but I'll enjoy the game for what it is. I'm not going to claim that I didn't wanted stuff that wasn't in the game, but I'm not going to complain if it happens.
In conclusion, I do think that the majority of the points in this video were really good. Music to follow the tone, I can follow behind. Greater Armor customization for different needs? Yeah, I'll get behind that. Weapon repair and upgrades? I want that, a lot. New places to explore? For an open world, it seems somewhat mandatory. Could the Zelda Team make the places we've already explored new? Yes, they can. A deep story with a frightening conclusion? I'll eat it up like it's a rare treat for me. But as for your other points, I have to disagree. I don't believe we'll get Dunegons like the Forest Temple or Stone Tower back, but I can't imagine us getting Divine Beasts again. Meeting the Zonei in the past? Highly unlikely, unless Purah managed to concoct a Rune for Time Travel. A Menu with a cutscene? Not needed in the slightest. Most of the series doesn't have a cutscene in the first place. Music in the menu, sure, I can understand that. In general, your points would enhance the gameplay, but with all the emphasis you're putting onto certain ones, you'll end up setting everyone up for disappointment. I don't think you want that, I know nobody else wants that, and I know I don't want that. It's fine to have your theories about what to expect, but don't treat them like facts that need to happen.

Having a lot of huge dungeons that have so many rooms it would take hours to find all the secrets, but nothing is necessary to get would be awesome. - Add an actual postgame please. Maybe a secret boss and secret dungeon after beating the game. Akin to the cavern of Remembrance and The Lingering Will from Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix.

I somewhat disagree with number 4, but only in the way you guys seem to be thinking of it.
Yes, "proper" dungeons are an absolute must for the sequel, however the traditional structure/layout/etc., being as closed-in as it is, just *doesn't work* in this more open-world era.
Ideally, we want some kind of middle-ground between the divine beasts and shrines of BotW, and the dungeons of old; something that takes the best parts of both. The key here is giving players room to explore, and find their own route through the dungeon, rather than figuring out how to continue along a single pre-determined route.
Though if they absolutely had to go back to the traditional style, take cues from the ones with plenty of outdoor portions, such as Dragon Roost Cavern, or City in the Sky.
[Edit] Basically now that I think about it, I just want more of what they did with Hyrule Castle.

Another thing I would really like to see is more enemy variety as through Breath of the Wild, we’ve only seen enemies like Bokoblins, Moblins and Lizalfos throughout the game with the more harder ones having different colours and having the same method to take them down. Having some enemies from previous games would give this sequel more variety.
Plus, while this might not happen but a playable Zelda would be amazing!

I want more lore on the ancient Sheikah. BotW's lore implies that 10,000 years prior to the game, Hyrule had amazing advanced technology, probably exceeding what we currently have today, but destroyed or buried it, after people became too afraid of the devastation it could bring to Hyrule. I want flashbacks, or hints of what Hyrule truly was at its absolute peak. Think of it in the same way we learn about original human society in Horizon: Zero Dawn.
Or even better, put a twist in the story, that they never actually discarded their technology, but that Ganondorf before he was sealed away, caused most of it to self destruct or become unusable, therefore condemning Hyrule to a slow technological collapse back into the medieval world we find it before Calamity Ganon, and the events of BotW

The only changes I really want in Breath of the Wild 2 is the ability to pet dogs, swim under water and have a fishing rod. I would like some real dungeons too, but I also really want the "you can just explore if you want to"-factor . Because the main reason Breath of the Wild is my favorite Zelda-game probably is that I'm horrible at bosses and defeating enemies, but there was so much to explore that I've spent hundreds of hours without actually beating a single boss (except for one Hinox). I've given up quite a few Zelda-games if I'm honest because I adore the atmosphere and the music, but then there has been that one boss that I don't manage to beat and then I can't proceed in the game. When something is difficult in Breath of the Wild on the other hand it's been like "oh well, I'l do this instead" and tried something else. It is therefore always wonderful to come back to and I wish more games had that type of freedom where you can suck at so much of the game and still feel that it's meant for you.

I feel like everyone just wants a traditional Zelda game that is similar to the others. Breath of the wild was supposed to be different but people want to go back to the old formula but I think that the new formula is great and I want to see more Zelda games like it. Everyone should appreciate the uniqueness of breath of the wild

I really hope they change the fighting mechanic when Link swings his sword. Instead of being the same repetitive pattern everytime, you should be able to swing directionally much like in OOT. When you hold forward Link should do stab thrusts, when you attack while idle Link swings horizontally, when holding back Link swings vertically. It's a subtle change but one that would make the fighting alot more fun.

    Changes i want to see:
    1. A more improved combat system. I get really irratated when you come across something like the Lynels, like at one point you put like lock on then and then the next thing the camera angle is all scerwed up. Like it hard to maintain focus on him when he's completely running all over the place. Which bring to my next change.
    2. Remove the Lynels or nerf them down a bit. They hit way too damn hard and boosting your defense via eating doesn't do crap against them, because he'll still take a big chunk of your health even with those defenses up.
    3. Defensive abilites need to be more buffed up, like the Great Fairies don't do much when it comes to increasing the Armors defenses. The chest armor needs to provide more protective defenses. I just feel like the defenses in Breath of the wild are a bit clunky like I'm not getting enough protection. This is excluding the Daruk ability too.
    4. A Blacksmith, for weapon and shield repairs, upgrading weapons, bows and Shields. And allowing to buy or sell weapons and shields to merchants. Like how awesome would be to upgrade the weapons you got after completing each of the divine beast, like the Trident, stone sword and the Bow to increase the their stats such durability and weapon damage. Like those are the coolest and rewarding weapons in Breath of the Wild but they're out classed by others like the Ancient and Lynel weaponary.
    5. Make the Master Sword better. I honestly can't believe how torn i am about the Master Sword on just how pathetic it is in Breath of the Wild. Like how can the most iconic Sword be this damn weak and breakdown to were it needs to recharge. It doesn't make sense on why the Hylian Shield is 90 which is Link iconic shield and not put the Master Sword on the same scale as the Hylian Shield.

Wait..... since fighting master kosha was our final trial to see if we were a true hero, what if the master kosha fight was a really toned downed version of the final ganondorf fight. Think about the moves kosha uses then think about if moving as if he were half dead, alot of the movements were swift slick and albeit a little creepy

I absolutely want a proper endgame. I would be very disappointed if after killing ganon I was warped back to my previous save. Like in Mario Odyssey, give me a challenges and quests and story that only opens up after the final boss is defeated, and have a little room on the side of the castle to refight ganon for the fun of it

I think you could sorta make the argument that BotW introduced the Sheikah as a proper race. Remember in previous games, we had only ever met one Sheikah (Impa) and this is first game we've ever actually seen the Sheikah as a civilization.

Jakob He has a lot of personality metagame. And it’s explained why he isn’t very expressive pre-calamity.
I think the real issue was that he still wasn’t very expressive in any of the post-calamity cutscenes.
The official art book even said that Link is much happier post-calamity and it bugged me that the cinematic cutscenes didn’t even attempt to show that.
But I am still glad that he had a lot of personality outside of the cutscenes.

I want to see Hyrule Castle go upwards, like we see in the trailer, but have it float above Hyrule until you get some power to take it down. Under the castle, you find the Laboratory, and some of the walls had cracked open. Inside are sheikah powers and runes that allow Link to find the Zonai ruins around Hyrule, like a lens of truth thing.

Just imagine finding piece of flint and tree wood. Going to the crafting section in the shekiah slate and make arrows! Then later putting in elemental chuchu jelly or gunpowder to change arrows! Crafting can be just an optional choice too. If u are lazy u have the option to still buy pre made stuff.

Honestly I don’t think there will be an improvement in performance or framerate. Why? Because this game was as much designed as DLC for Zelda BOTW as the Switch version was a WII U Port. The engine will be the same but with improvements in some aspects like light, shadows, etc. But im 99% sure there is no change in resolution or framerate apart from some less framedrops.

You all don't want much do you....Breathe of the Wild was amazing and changed everything. Yeah it had some things not perfect (rain lol). But you all are demanding putting every Zelda game into this sequel. Doing what you ask would make the sequel not out for 10 yrs...I would rather have the sequel sooner than all your "changed needed" I thought the story was great and allowed for totally real exploration then linear. Finding a memory was exciting no matter the order and made you want to find more. If they just add temples to what they already have existing I would be ecstatic. The hard mode on all Zelda games (except WW remake) has always been after you complete the first quest always. I personally liked the short opening sequence instead of having to wait while a scene I had watched 300 times played again before i could even press start (maybe just have it when you start a new file) I love your channel but fans are getting way to demanding of development teams. Zelda has always and will always be my favorite game (It's the games that started my love for gaming way back at the original) Countless hours have been spent enjoying every single one. I personally thank them for all their hard work, changes, and improvements they have made to each one. (Yeah even triforce hero's as cringy that story line is) So any differences for BOTW 2 will be enough for me...i hope fans will appreciate the hard work they constantly put into the Zelda games instead of always wanting more and bigger.
