Many of their original songs have an 80s vibe to them as well. As others have suggested, The Last In Line is amazing as well. They had one week to learn the music and make the video. They absolutely nailed it.

FYI: They each are portraying what their interests are; Melody is an artist, Sam loves doing graphic arts and effects, Aby loves either modeling or dancing, Ethan is a huge gamer and Justin loves magic.

Melody kills Joan jetts Hate myself for loving you , but that's just one of their phenomenal tribute covers , their original songs are spectacular react to anything on their playlist it's all pure magic .I am a 76yrs Aussie who was given an I pad to occupy my time whilst in hospital I was intrigued by a thumbnail featuring a kid band performing Ozzie's Crazy Train I watched it and was fanged . It's funny you mention Metallica. They have done Enter Sandman and Master of Puppets and as a Metallica fan for many years they slayed them both.
Welcome to the world of Liliac (pronounced Lily-Ak). They are the masters of covers but they also have some amazing originals. Sam (lead guitar) is 22, Abigail (drums) is 21, Melody (lead vocals and sometimes bass) is 19, Ethan (bass and rhythm guitar) is 15, and Justin (keyboard and soon to add rhythm guitar) is 14. The Cristea family was from Los Angeles but last year moved to Georgia. The father Florin Cristea, and mother Nineta, were both originally from Romania. Both their families moved to the United States when the two were children. They met in the US and were married and began their family thereafter.
The word Liliac is Romanian for Bat.
They began as the Cristeas when Sam was about 13 or 14 years old. At that time, it was just Sam, Abigail, and Melody, as the two boys were really too young. They did covers.

Living in Downey, California the band honed their skills playing on the Santa Monica Pier every weekend for several years. As they gained their confidence and stage presence, the crowds grew bigger and bigger until the police had to have them stop because the crowds were getting too big.

Liliac is an independent band managed by their father. They have turned down several record company offers to remain independent and control their own destiny. Pappa Liliac (Florin) shoots and produces the videos and Sam does the editing. Momma Liliac (Nineta) handles the merchandise sales.

All the covers they do are impeccable. They have such a luxurious sound to them. Liliac's originals shine through as well, I hope you have some of those on your list. I love this band/family and thoroughly enjoy watching others discover them. I have yet to see them live live but hope to. "Crazy Train" was the first vid I seen of them and I was instantly "fanged". Again, looking forward to your future Liliac reactions.

Great reaction Melody even does the operatic part at the beginning of the song she has great range with that tone.That is the reason Wendy Dio requested they do The Last in Line for Ronnie James Dio birthday cancer fundraiser and Vinny Appici gave them an unreleased version for the fundraiser.I first saw them about a year ago and saw them live at the Harrisburg show in August they are a phenomenal live band love there original song Sail Away.

I think my 1st video I saw of them was Liliac- Rainbow in the Dark (Official Music Video) a Ronnie James Dio cover and I was instantly fanged.
Lil-Lee-Ack is on a mission to keep old school rock alive, and keep this style going with influencing younger generations, while giving us older folk, hope it will be around for a long time to come. Their originals are off the chain, and are so worthy of a watch/listen. The covers are paying homage to the original artists that influenced them, and are fun for them to cover. They are just young-in's and having fun is important! Otherwise it's just all work, and what youngster enjoys work 24/7? They are fantastic live! Check them out if you get the chance.

Liliac Fang in the house! Subbed! That being said this is a family band of 3 brothers and 2 sisters who are so talented and do everything themselves. They are independent (not signed to a label)by choice and managed by their father. They do both covers and originals. They worked hard busking (playing for tips) on The Santa Monica Pier for hours every weekend for about 6-7 years. Some of their covers are Enter Sandman, Holy Diver, Master of Puppets, Crazy Train, Paranoid and some of their originals are We are the Children, Dancing in the Dark, Nothing, Mystery, Crazy Nights, Chain of Thorns.
That's great information on their backstory. I love that they are independent and doing it their way. They certainly are doing it right.
I can tell you really enjoy their music and believe you will dive into more. Consider me a new sub and please keep the Liliac hits coming. You will not be disappointed

You know that Liliac has a 3rd all original album in the works right, and that Papa Liliac hopes to get it done by Christmas? I wonder if it's going to be heavier or if they are going to be experimenting with different techniques during this one? I do know Melody will be playing a new instrument in one of the new music videos they will release because she teased it in an interview. I also wonder if Justin will be playing rhythm guitar on that album because we know he is learning it. I don't think anybody knows if he's picked it up fast enough to be featured as the rhythm guitarist on the album or that will have to wait until the 4th album...

I may be biased because it's the 1st song I heard by Liliac and the 1 that got me instantly fanged but Liliac- Rainbow in the Dark (Official Music Video) is still their best cover song to me. Unfortunately that stupid The World's Best TV show version is always getting in the way of reactors reacting to the Official video. As for favorite Liliac original it's We Fight, We Fall (Audio Only)in my opinion.

The song that got me into them was their cover of "Rainbow In The Dark. Any of their covers and or their originals you choose won't disappoint. How did you come across them doing the cover of "Holy Diver"?
If I remember correctly it came across social media. Great track for sure. I've heard so many other covers of that song in my time, but wow they really nailed it.

@@GlobalMusicMayhem the steel plant that mv is filmed at custom designed the drum rizer that's in it for free if they filmed there. All of their videos are filmed by their dad papa liliac, Sam the lead guitar player also does all the video editing, and all of them have their own part in writing their 🎵songs. Papa ,melody the words, Sam the main music, melody and Abby the bass line.

Some other interesting Liliac information you may not be aware of. 1. Liliac was never always Liliac, they were actually known by The Cristeas prior to becoming Liliac. 2. They are independent by choice (AGT) did offer them a contract but they turned it down because AGT wanted their creativity and much of their proceeds. 3. They started by busking (playing for tips) every weekend for 6-7 years on the Santa Monica Pier until the crowds got too large the cops asked them to leave because they were stopping the flow of traffic. 4. Their father Florin Cristea shoots the music videos and oldest brother Samuel then edits them, mother Ninetta (sorry fellow Fangs if I got her name wrong, she's the only one I have trouble with) wraps and ships the merch very securely and writes a personal note the way I hear it. 5. Liliac contrary to what some people believe Liliac does write their own songs and they do both originals and covers. 6. They have jammed with Loverboy, which I saw you did a video of 4 years ago, they also opened for Queensryche, Skillet opened for them and they got to hang with John Cooper (Skillet vocalist), Lzzy Hale from Halestorm remarked on how cool Melody's voice is and then Melody got to interview her, KISS invited them on the KISS KRUISE and fell in love with them so they invited them back for this years KISS KRUISE, Melody is a big Ronnie James Dio fan so Wendy Dio personally asked them to do The Last in Line for Ronnie James Dio's Cancer Fund and Vinny Appice (Dio's former drummer) has repeatedly called Melody a reincarnated female Ronnie James Dio, which very high praise indeed.

Liliac is pronounced Lilly-ak. That aside Liliac has a method to doing covers, they keep it as close to the original while adding their own stuff without destroying the core. If you listen closely you can hear the changes they make.
That's the key too, keep the core then add your spin to it. And thanks on the name! I watched an interview and the drummer (Abigal?) pronounced it Lie-lee-ac, I thought at first it was Lilly-ak. I would have gone with that too lol... next video I will definitely go with Lilly-ak.

Thir cover of I Hate Myself for Loving You is my absolute favorite cover they do,,, dont get me wrong I like Joan Jett, but I Love Liliac's cover better than the origional,,, Melody puts sooo much attitude into the vocals its crazy,,, please do a reaction to that video Please,,, they absolutely Kill that cover
