The real translation of wudhu verse in the Qur’an :
( O you who believe if you stood to perform prayers then wash your faces and your hands to the elbow and wipe your heads and legs to the heels.. (6))
Surah Al-Maa'da
اغسلوا = wash
Wipe = امسحوا

@@marioneichelberger1237 Yes, what is meant in the verse is that the limit of water must be with the elbow. Therefore, when water spills from the top until it falls down to the end of the fingers due to gravity, what is meant here in the verse is that the limit of washing is for the elbow and not specifying the beginning or the end. I hope the idea is clear.

@@anthonypie9509 it's not something misguided. Rinsing the mouth is a recommended action. Please be careful, it's obligatory to speak with knowledge only.
Those are recommended, not obligatory
that's a bidah.
The Qur'an only says face, arms, Wiping head, and washing feet. Nothing about the mouth, nose, or ears. If you wish to wash/wipe those, go for it, but certainly not required. Allah is specific in his wordings.
5:6
O you who have believed, when you rise to [perform] prayer, wash your faces and your forearms to the elbows and wipe over your heads and wash your feet to the ankles.
Your head must be still when doing the wipe.
No offence to my Shia brothers but doesn't it look inappropriate to wipe feet's rather than washing 👍
My brother quran says wipe the feet and your hadith says wash, does your hadith have more autority than the holy Quran?
Before you do wudu your body needs to be clean. If you can visible see dirt or something under or on your feet you need to wash them before you can even do wudu. Thus, if you're wiping already clean feet washing them isn't needed.
