    O you who have faith! When you stand up for prayer, wash your faces and your hands up to the elbows, and wipe a part of your heads and your feet, up to the ankles. If you are junub, purify yourselves.

    washing the feet makes your wudu void and subsequently your salat void. if your feet are dirty, then wash it first and then do your wudu. Feet have to dry a little first. meaning the level of the witness of your hand to wipe your feet has to be more than your feet.

    Assalamu alaikum!
    During wudu/after wudu, do you have to put some sort of flippers/shoes below the feet or can you just do the wudu on the ground without anything to stand on/nothing below the feet?

      Wa Alaikum Alsalam!
      There is no requirement to wear anything while doing Wudu. As long as the place you're wiping (the top of your feet) is dry and Tahir (is pure), you'll be fine.

    • @MYW_313
      @MYW_313  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Salam, "yad" in original arabic can have several meanings, including the whole arm to the shoulders, the phrasing in the verse is specifying the boundary of the elbow to clarify, not that the washing should be From the direction of the forearm >To< the direction of the elbow.
      tldr; the Quranic verse is specifying the boundaries, rather than the direction of washing.
      Inshallah this helps clarify it a bit.

    Assalamu'alaikum, I want to ask regarding wudu, I hope you can help me,
    Question: it is said that in wudu, the head and feet should be dry before we swipe them with our hands. The front part of my head will always be wet from the splash of water from washing my face (first step of wudu), is it enough when it comes to the part of wiping head, i don't wipe it till the line between forehead and head? only until about 1.5 cm after the line of my forehead? because i am afraid that the wetness of my hands will be contaminated with the wetness of the water splash of my face which is not allowed even though there is the possibility that the part of the hand that is contaminated does not touch the obligatory part of the foot which is at least 3 fingers. If it is not allowed do I have to redo my prayer? Thank you very much.

    • @MYW_313
      @MYW_313  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Wa Alaikun Alsalam, yes that is fine, in fact that is what most people should do since that area is usually wet (As long as the required amount is being wiped).
      As for the width of wiping the feet, it can be less than 3 fingers, but the more the better.

    If the thumb and middle finger reach the side of the head washing that part is not necessary. We wash the width of the face.
    Not everything the thumb and middlefinger covers. Shaykhna. Just a small correction inshallah.

    • @MYW_313
      @MYW_313  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Salam, jazakallah khair. That would be a case of an abnormally large hand, in which case the person should wash what would be covered by a normal-sized hand.
      Yes the width of the face is covered, but the wajib (mandatory) width is what would be covered between the middle finger and the thumb (of a normal hand) as the sheikh was showing.

    • @mrhood8073
      @mrhood8073 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MYW_313 Alaykum Salam. No, even for a normal hand. I checked with office of Sayed Sistani and they said the parts of the FACE that is covered with the middle finger and thumb are the only parts supposed to be washed not past this. If a person's thumb and middle finger reaches past their face such that, it is no longer considered their face it is not necessary to wash such areas. Only what is normally considered the face between the thumb and middle finger. Even for a normal hand or face.
      I was given this answer twice and was told not to wash the side of the head even if the thumb and middle finger cover such areas.
      In other words it is not necessary to wash "everything" the thumb and middle finger covers.
      Also for reference I checked with a scholar in the area known As Shaykh Ali Adibi and he said the same.

    • @MYW_313
      @MYW_313  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes we’re saying the same thing. As we said above, a normal hand would only cover the face. If it’s going past that then it’s an abnormally large hand (for the person’s face).
      The wajib parts that need to be covered is between the thumb and finger of a normal hand on a normal face. Anything outside that isn’t considered part of the face.
      This is according to Sayed Sistani, and is what Sheikh Ali Aidibi teaches.
