Absolutely the best video on setting up Oculus Go to mirror on my smart phone.! Great job. One question. When I set up casting. I get this red dot that always there where ever I look in my headset. Hate it. Is there anyway to disable that? Do you know what I'm talking about? Again, Great Job Man !!
What do you think the disavantage using new Motion Smoothing? Im getting pimax 5k but 2080ti benchmark was bad. If Motion Smoothing works out good then can 5k plus work good with gtx 1070 or lower end gpu? Whats the point of buying high end gpu if Motion Smoothin work good. Im little confuse
too bad we can't cast from the phone TO the Go, so we could tape our phones to the front of the go and use the video camera on the phone as an AR backdrop in mobile VR experiences on the Go.. Thats all thats missing from the Go or the upcoming Quest, such a simple addition and we get both VR and AR on a mobile Wifi based HMD
that is no use to me and what day should have done is we can connected a dongle to the headset to give more space and we could use our phones to stream movies or 360 video from the phone that's what they should have done
you can already stream a movie from your phone. I will tell you how below, but first realize they aren't advertising this because it is not an optimal experience yet. It takes a long time to load the video and when it does you will still need to pause it so that it can finish loading. If you try to stream without pausing the video pauses like youtube while it is trying to catch up. I suppose if you saved a 360 video on your phone you could stream that too, but I haven't tried it. If you go to gallery/ connected media/ phone camera roll - here you can connect your phone media to your Go. Then whenever you want to stream from your phone (as long as they are paired) you just go to Gallery/ phone camera roll.
I still don't have casting on my oculus go... there is no way to force update ? this really sucks... it just update itself randomly ? I hate oculus so much for this... Edit: OK now I have it, but oh man... the quality is very, very bad and the latency is just awful... this sucks! I've waited for this feature for so long and it's very bad... I hate oculus even more now.
It's finally here! Well, it could work better, but it's a start right? ^^
Can you do it the other way around. See your phone screen on the Oculus?
thank you for making this video with actually showing inside the oculus you make it so much easier for me to understand :)
I dont own a VR Headset yet, but i am watching every video of yours :)

mines been on for 12 hours no OTA UPDATE YET
did you try to keep it on and on idle like I say in the video?
@@Tyrielwood Yep I think it updated because of that, so again thank you! :)
I can cast main menu on my phone, but when I try to cast the app I am creating with Unreal Engine, it fails. Is it a known issue? How can I fix it?
