All of these incursions have been quite a mess, thanks for taking down those Slicers and telling us all about it! I appreciate these stories a lot. A buddy of mine took a Polaris into another one of those incursions. They had to scramble to crew it, couldn't get enough people there in time as distress calls were coming out and they had to launch with a couple of the guns unmanned. They managed to clear out over 20 of the Slicers' support ships before they had to retreat. They were down to two burning engines and barely made it back to port. The ship as a total loss, but they somehow made it back alive! Another Polaris crew had joined the fight before they started limping back to port. That fight went on for another 30 minutes, I was listening to all the comms chatter as I was hauling supplies to the Pyro jump point.
Oh man that sounds like a fun adventure, they were lucky to make it back but it sounds like they gave the enemy a pretty good fight. If it wasn’t for our full crew I don’t think we’d ever be able to take that Idris down, it’s an absolute beast
Dude, I piloted a polaris in a fight light this and it was epic. Our ship was riddled with damage and the QT drive was dead. We won but ended up floating and disabled without a way to return to port, and had to jump ship. I can't wait for the engineering and repair to come online.
I hope they add in engineering repair experiences. Being able to run around an engine room trying to fix things would be awesome while mid combat. As long as it's not a bunch of screen puzzles. Pulling power cells out of sockets and grabbing new ones from storage and rushing back, rerouting options for supplying power to downed systems (like routing power from hyperdrive to shield when shield generator goes down but disables hyperdrive until rerouted back), Fixing broken wires and/or circuit boards inside wall panels, resealing broken piping. I could go on and on lol. Running through the ship while it taking hits and you're trying to keep her alive would be so immersive and fun, so there is always something to do even when you're not flying or shooting. This would also create an additional money sink as you would want to buy maintenance parts for your ship.
The RP is pretty good and serious. It give life and grit to the video ❤ The way you use the pesky bugs of the game like engineering playwork is funny if a little sad 😢
ngl, I prefer the voice over here instead of the ingame audio, its much nicer you telling us about the battle like a story instead of trying to immerse us in it.
normally not into rp, but this looks pretty fun tbh! something tells me "hacked systems" and "engine problems" and other statements like that mean....Bugs 🤣 no idea why i'd assume that
So I'm not the only one that just loves saying "Spinal Mount %weapon%" :D Also: Requesting that you re-make this once they have all the cap ship combat stuff added. Physicalized damage, physical shield gens, "real armor," real engineering, etc.
It's realy a pity it's such a rare occurrence, a cost of a gas station coffee for this amount of effort, coordination, quality montage and so on.. Anyway, no problem mate, great videos.
just got my pilot license, maybe I might be able to contribute something to these slicer issues in my mustang alpha in the near future (or maybe just watch from a distance, I'm still new to flying and will probably end up crashing or get blown up, the mustang isn't really meant for situations like this after all 😅)
That’s so cool, meanwhile me with 3 friends taking out the idris without any damage from them instead just some damage from our own torpedoes and then realizing that repairs cost 1 million
support ships should have spare parts on board for switching out shield generator and other system parts. What is point of support ship if main ship shields are down at beginning of battle already...
its not really spinal mounted its just on the front, a spinal mount would be a huge gun the runs the entire length of the ship, like the eclipse class super star destroyer with a superlaser that would be a spinal mount,
I agree, its listed as a spinal mount on all the media so maybe some stuff is internal? Or it just runs along the length of the bottom, I'm not entirely sure
@@CaptainFlynn117 wish they would change the names make the railguns the small weapons and make the s10 on the isris a mass driver and the s14 on the Bengal should be a mass driver railgun sound small lol
Hell yeah, it’s a ton of fun but very buggy still lol honestly you don’t need anything but a cool starter ship with a bit of cargo space, you can get almost every ship with in-game credits
Even though your audio files corrupted during the fight, you managed to make this thing just as interesting! That was really epic to see, cheers Captain! 🫡
I cant see how this game will ever work. You need players to want to play gunner roles rather than flying their own ship which wont happen. Then you’ll want merlin P51’s for battles in atmosphere, on planets so large that you might never see another player… Unless it’s played as a point defence style game where one team defends space, then atmosphere, then ground inside bunkers etc?
Javelins versus Bengals? Not thinking big enough. Try player organisations made Bengal class with escorts fighting against multiple NPC Vanduul Kingships (Mass-produced versions) and NPC Vanduul and reverse-engineered human fighters in the mix.
@@Adjudicator1even bigger, a massive fleet with multiple retributions, bengals, javelins, idris, Polaris. A massive escort of maxed out heavy fighters with active support crews in crucibles, Vulcans, starfarers. With nearby M2s to carry spare torpedos and gear for the personnel. VS Multiple kingships, drillers, a massive amount of all vanduul fighters, equaling the amount of human ships. while on the planet nearby there are 2 massive bases with cannons, attack drones, turrets, where there’s the ground battle with Nova tanks, guys with railguns, ballistas, Spartans, trained and tamed kopions
@CaptainFlynn117 that's half the trouble, I used my available free time to try this and it bugged out 3 times ( withdrawn before idris died / objective complete) . Stacked on top of my wonky schedule it's been tough to get with a dedicated group, and all for a set of silly repeaters
1: use torpedos to nail both hammerheads 2: Clear out fighters 3: get your turret gunners to precision fire the engines and turrets of the Idris. 4: dumb fire torps at almost point blank 5: finish mission quickly
Strategical mission de-briefing : Operation cost : 30 000 000+ aUEC Operation reward : less than 2000 aUEC per player Overall results : Mission success but the organisation has now had to scrap 3 capital ships for an undetermined amount of time
@@CaptainFlynn117 yeah this is pretty sad, I think they should increase the mission payouts (which apparently they are going to, along with operating costs lol) but more importantly I think mission rewards should either not be divided or be "less" divided, for example 2 players picking a contract shouldn't each get 50% but each get 90%, I think this would help make multicrew (and group play in general) more viable and more in line with what an actual MMO should be instead of it being *only* used for fun. But anyway great video btw mate, I loved the immersion you give with your commentary (and the way you turn annoying bugs into equipment disfunction etc is a nice touch btw)
Bro got engineering before the rest of us.
I love how you disguise all the bugs happening, very nice video
there are no bugs, just happy little incedents... and features.

@@CaptainFlynn117 to think... The audacity of those slicers to ruin the comms!! 😅

Some dudes need to use a breathalyzer before they can start their Polaris
Really cool! Thanks for the narration. This felt like a Babylon 5 or DS9 log. Thanks for sharing!
I really appreciate that, thanks! Glad to hear you enjoyed it!
I’m in the night crew on the server and the shenanigans have been top notch. Thanks for putting together the discord

I'm subbing because of the level of RP devotion you put into this.
Ok I was a little sceptical but then at 0:32 when I seen how serious your friends can be, this instantly gave me interest to watch! Looking now!
We try our best man, hope you enjoyed it! A little bit of light rp makes it more fun sometimes

Ohh nice! Quite liked the seaparate commentary tbh. Made it seem more like a retelling of events and felt quite fitting.
This is the emergent gameplay star citizen is all about, sick video!
Always love the immersion you provide, keep it up!
Truly overwhelming firepower.
Oh this is gonna be legendary
Loved it. Was good to watch over my morning joe.

lol you hit the nail on the head. To be honest we barely even rp really, just enough to make the videos fun
Must approve the energy put into covering up bugs as (Torpedo jams) (Engine Failure) xD
would love to see this but with an extra crew of about 5 or more furies launching from each polaris!
This is wonderful stuff. I’m going to binge all of your content now, thanks ✌️
Haha thanks man, glad you enjoyed it! Hope you enjoy the rest of the vlogs too
Good job narrating your play session---it was really well done
This was good to see honestly. Gives me hopes for my small org as we build. Would love to fly with yall one day.
So cool!! You show the potential this game has!
Felt like incase listening to someone play one game while I watch someone else play SC haha
Phase 3 is hard if you don't have a capital ship your not going to complete
Loved your video
good job on the log man, turned out amazing
Thanks man, I appreciate the suggestion to do it in this way in the first place! I’m happy with how it turned out
This ship is literally the reason I'm getting back into this game, hoping I can find some people to play with to help me grind and crew this
So I'm not the only one that just loves saying "Spinal Mount %weapon%" :D

Amazing RP and Gemplay! love it!!
man, 3 polaris vs 1 idris. I think when the idris releases, it will be easier just to crew a idris.
Yeah agreed, it would be much easier from a logistics standpoint, and maybe even cheaper
@@CaptainFlynn117 yeah, the idris-k with the laser and automated turret seems great!
Oh yes. The Polaris is designed to kill multicrew subcapital ships. The Idris is designed to kill Polarises.
This is the kind of roleplay I hope Star Citizen will see !
God I hope this game doesn't turn too toxic...

Awesome! Loved being a part of this!
Torpedoes have a lock and fire range from 2.8k to 30k however there are bugs currently messing with the lock mechanics on occasion.
That was great can't wait for the next one🎉
Super cool narration. I REALLY wish the in game sound effects were included
Glad you enjoyed it, hopefully I can fix the audio issues next time

awesome as always
You should do a ship review and tour of the Mirai guardian when it comes out
