There has been a case in the USA where a police candidate was not selected due to a high IQ. High IQ does not work well for the police as the smarter you get the less likely you are to blindly follow orders or they could potentially find the role unchallenging. The average IQ of an officer is marginally above the national average and it annoys me when I am expected to treat their intelligence as superior to my own because of a uniform!
Police do not have powers only authority given to them by the people. They can only use that authority when crime is afoot. AB has the same authority as every cop in the land until he is in crime - a thing he never is! On the other hand the police are the criminals and if I were AB I would have made an 'any person' arrest on that racist cop. Profiling is a hate crime and under the colour of law that cop is subject to up to 14 years in prison.
Well done again AB - It is a real concern that the Met Police claim to be 'overworked and under-resourced' to the point where rape convictions are at 0.5% of reported offences and they 'are too busy' to attend burglaries etc but 3 officers can waste SO much time bullying an innocent member of the public first using the Terrorism Act then Immigration Act as threats. Hi, I investigated sexual offences for 10 yrs. The low conviction rates are for a number of complex reasons. Rape is essentially a he said, she said crime. There are very few 'pounced on in the park' types, the vast majority are where two people have some sort of relationship and enter a private space together. Most rapes allegations involve on-going sexual partners. You have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the sex was not consensual, and that the accused was either aware of that or reckless to it. That is very hard to prove to that evidential standard. However, what complicates matters more is social media. If an alleged victim posts anything which suggests that it was consensual or that everything was normal the next day (for example, at 10am texting a friend about Eastenders) or that they were the instigator, you must see how the case collapses. You could argue, perhaps they were putting a brave face on, etc. But you must see how in a he said, she said situation, that you have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt, it collapses any ability to prosecute. That's not the fault of authorities. In this encounter, the Police were awful. "You must understand in this climate, we have to come out and speak to you" - no. I say 'no' because the photographer doesn't have to say anything or give any answer, so pointless. Even if they search him (which is ridiculous - it suggests he might have a dossier with 'Evil Plan' written on) it shows that they don't believe he is a threat, or they would call the terrorism police. T2211 is a disgrace and I feel sorry for his family. You can imagine the type of person he is at home. {insert joke about his wife's lover here}

The sequence from 14:00 onwards is very instructive of why the cops keep firing dumb questions at you - it's to keep you talking. They do this so that you will eventually say something which they can _pretend_ is a contradiction, and which they can therefore pretend is reasonable grounds for suspicion and thus further harassment and attempted intimidation / ego-stroking. You have to be very careful indeed what you say to them, firstly because it will never help you, and secondly because it will always be used against you, or twisted to use against you, if that is in any way possible.

well disgusting it was but also smart. as many of these officers just want a name. which is why they conduct the terriost section 43 search in the hope to find id. this copper before issueing such a unlawful search first asked if he had id on him, once he knew he didnt he knew the search was pointless so then he went down the imigration route, that way he could detain him untill he gave up his information, to be fair i hate the police which is why i love watching these audits, but they won this one imo.

The sequence from 14:00 onwards is very instructive of why the cops keep firing dumb questions at you - it's to keep you talking.
