Such a great build. Love the scarecrow! Just remember, the more crops you add, the more you’ll be visited by raccoons. All of your details are basically perfect-it’s really easy to get heavy-handed with embellishments! 6K!!!!! 👍🏻
Thanks 😅 yeah sometimes over embellished terrain becomes clunky and unplayable, or sometimes just fragile. Woooohoooo 6,000 subs !!! Thanks for watching 😊
@@irongryphon Alan, I like how, from top your bottom, you use non-shrinking/warping materials and methods. Thanks to you I’ve switched over to EPVC board for terrain basing. Why do I like this piece in particular? Because I plan to make a 2 foot by 2 foot farming area using your piece as inspiration. There will be a hut or cottage near the center. I initially wanted to copy the farm parcels that Terrain Tutor had done, but I like how yours came out best. It has way more character. th-cam.com/video/Vj4awpvMxng/w-d-xo.html
What an amazing build, and those Pumpkin critters are great looking :D will have to have a look into getting myself some of those :) i really feel i should be stocking up on more natural real-world crafting materials. The Birch seed husks(?) that you used really make the build come to life :D
Thanks Drew,, I'm very thankful that the goblins workshop sent me those little pumpkins 🙂 birch seed husks are so perfect for leaf scatter. Also a fan of using dried fine roots for vines.
Thanks buddy 👍🏻 I think the foliage and leaves makes this piece really immersive. I also tried to keep alot of playable space in the centre so that models can easily stand up
MDF board is just fine, but if you're looking for foamex then try to locate a graphics sign maker nearby where you live. They might let you take the scraps/offcuts 🙂
awesome video man. dunno if i like the joy of painting background music. you need something harder, more metal lol. for real though you have convinced me to start messing around with sculpt a mold.
Haha I usually use slightly harder music, but I thought the autumnal vibe of this video warranted some slower music (worth a try I suppose 😅) Yeah definitely get some sculptamold, it's very useful
That'd be a perch, not a field. 16'6" by 16'6" Which yours is kinda close to, (ish, judging by eye) was a known size of arable land. Forty perches make a rood, four roods an acre. If that area were closed off, then it'd not be a field, in part because it could not be furloughed. Which is not to say 'ya boo, you tickle oxen', just, you know, more flavours in the soup.
This looks amazing! Love the whole aesthetic with the field and the scarecrow
Cheers mate 😅👍🏻 amazing what you can do with lots of foliage and some cool little murderous pumpkins
Just when I think, "This could use a scarecrow" or "There should be some leaves piled up against the fence," you are one step ahead. Great job!
Haha greats minds think alike 😅👍🏻
Thanks very much
"You saw nothing." That's hilarious.
😅 I do try

Looks awesome. exactly where you'd expect to fight pumpkin-monsters
...Or maybe even a scarecrow 😈
Some gorgeous but simple terrain.
Thanks it was a foliage heavy build, but just goes to show what you can make with some simple model foliage 🙂👍🏻
Love those little hay piles. They would go well with a stable.
Indeed they would, and they're kinda self contained so you don't even need to stick them down, you can just use them as scatter 🙂👍🏻
I thought, that ok, another cropfield, nothing really interesting. But at the end, those beautiful details make it look amazing! Great build!
Thanks dude, it's all about those visual interest pieces, they really add to the scene 🙂👍🏻 thanks for watching
Watching for the fourth or fifth time. This is one of my favorite pieces. Alan, my brother, we miss you. Come on back! :)
Very much appreciate the extra views 😊 I'm glad you like it. If you wouldn't mind indulging me, what is it about this piece/video that you like?

Very inspired work on this fiels, so many details to enjoy on the close ups, I love this realistic and gorgeous scarecrow!
Thanks dude 😀 i like giving players something visually interesting, makes it more immersive
@@irongryphon Agree, very immersive!
This is the best timing ever, I’ve just bought bits to create some crops/farm fields etc!! You read my mind!
Awesome 😀 I'd love to see your results
@@irongryphon do you have an Instagram page mate? I’ll give you a follow!!
I do, it's on the end of every video🙂 iron_gryphon_studio
another piece of art. is really great paint job and model. really great.

Really tells a story. I love using thematic terrain in my games. Immediately gets to to the mood. Great work!
I do enjoy dressing up those scenes, adding little details really adds some visual interest 🙂
Nice!!! I really like the surrounding fence. I built mine using Terrain Tutor’s tips, but I never thought to give them a fence … until now. Thanks!
Cheers, I think a mixture of different fencing/walls really helps the look 👍🏻🙂
Lovely little build
Cheers buddy 🙂👍🏻 thanks for watching
Nice little build
Cheers pal 😀👍🏻 thanks for watching
Very cool. I really like the hay piles, I'll definitely make some of those. I'd probably stipple the lichen on though.
I didn't trust my stippling techniques to do that 😂
@@irongryphon I'm sure you're better at it than I am. You could even thin down the mix and splatter it on.
Stunning work man.
Thanks dude 👍🏻😀 appreciate you watching
This is cool, man. I need to make some of these. I would be able to use them in DnD, Symbaroum, and Legend of the Five Rings. Cheers, Bo
Thanks bud, give it a go. Plus all cheap supplies/materials 😬👍🏻
Awesome! Love the scarecrow 😍
The hale piles turned out great. I love seeing you build, you never cease to amaze.
Thanks so much, I was going to put a crow on the scarecrows shoulder 😅
I'm happy with the hay piles too 🙂
Really nice. For me it's missing a dead or autumn tree in one corner. But overall good work.
Cheers bud 👍🏻🙂 yeah I could have done a tree, but I wanted to keep the profile fairly low (cos it's easier to store and I have limited space 😉)
Awesome little aeea
Cheers bud 😬👍🏻
Great piece!
Cheers buddy 🙂 thanks for watching 👍🏻
I always love your builds! This one is just perfect. Those miniatures are really great as well.
Thanks buddy 👍🏻they are cool minis, go check out his shop, he has other stuff available too.
Really lovely!
Thanks very much 😀👍🏻
Very nice!
Thanks very much 😊
Looks awesome, as usual! I wish I could find that Foamex, near me in the US, for a reasonable price. I used 1/8" MDF board for terrain bases.

Cool Loot Studios just did a giveaway of a pumpkin monster for October subscribers, this is perfect to encounter him in
I agree 😀 weird monsters are cool 😂
awesome build as always! how do you make your wash? seems perfect.
It's so useful, I use it for everything it's 3 parts black wash, 2 parts brown wash, and 1 part water 😀
@@irongryphon is the wash store bought? or just black paint? thank you so much for responding
Both washes are Vallejo, comes in a big pot.
@@irongryphon thank you so much Crack on!
No carrot for a nose ?
Isn't that just snowmen? 🤔 😅

Where/how do you make/get the leaves?
eBay 🙂 it's birch seed, and often sold as "model leaf scatter"
