    It`s a TRAP!
    Well done, mate, really looking nice. Small, practical and "punishing!."

    Loved the little guy falling on all the traps and cursing his luck. Very nice and useful video. Thank you very much.

    lmao, designing these traps must have been fun. I do think it's a must have if you play on a tabletap setup, and they are well done. Kinda sad to agree with you: it's often pointless to "show" them because once they "appear" it's already too late or defuse. The ultimate tabletop setup would be to craft all the walls of the dungeon to actually try to blend the traps and fools the players but nobody got time time for that x)
    Also love the montage and the funny 'mise en scene' ;)
    ALSO: I NOTICE YOUR TSHIRT!!! :D AWESOME!

    • @irongryphon
      @irongryphon  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, traps aren't always necessary to make, but they're fun so..I made them 😅
      I'm going to try get some t-shirts produced in the future when I can guarantee selling a good amount 👍🏻🙂

      Half the time, traps aren't even necessary to mark, but that's no fun 😅 cos I wanted to make traps

      @@irongryphon they definitely looked fun to make

    I love the idea of traps that players discover, then can use them to their advantage. Could make for some fun encounters and this a great way to represent them. Thanks for the inspiration!

    • @irongryphon
      @irongryphon  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's all about keeping the terrain practical 🙂👍🏻 small markers are great way to represent it. Nothing wrong with just using a piece of card or something but 3D markers with texture are so much more immersive

    Great builds. Love the simple but effective markers. I was thinking of the Skyrim traps as you built and as you say, they need roofs.

    • @irongryphon
      @irongryphon  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep, Id thought of the classic Skyrim trap with the swinging cage door kind of thing, normally activated by pressure plate. So I could add that one in another video 👍🏻

    Hi Alan! New sub to your channel. I am happy to see how well those trap "tiles" work with existing dungeon tiles. I've been planning much of the same thing and this shows me how well it can be used! Awesome job!

    I've never built any traps, I've got some ideas for some like a blade that comes up from the floor ( no roof makes it difficult as you say). these are great. I'm not crafting at all at the moment my kitchen is too small and it makes too much mess I'll be glad when we see some light after lockdown so I can get back into my crafting space.

    • @irongryphon

      Can't beat a good old boulder trap, there's a reason its a classic 😅 nothing makes players panic like a boulder rolling at them when they have no place to evade it.

    I love your content. Very useful stuff mate and great inspiration.
    I just have one request, I'm sorry to come across a little wingy; can you please orientate your camera so it's slightly looking ahead. It almost looks as though I'm looking upside down and back a bit towards you which makes it sightly harder viewing.
    No offence is meant.

    • @irongryphon
      @irongryphon  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not the first time I've been told that so don't worry. I need a decent camera mount apparently 😅
      Thanks for watching 👍🏻

    if i was dm, the traps would be plenty, undetectable, inescapable, absolutely deadly. everybody would be dead within 15 minutes.
    what? that's against the rules? "i am the dm, i *am* the rules!"
    (everybody thank your gods that i don't play) (but i'd like to)

    • @daskraut
