    So is it still holding? I found a steel reinforced jb weld epoxy with 5021 PSI 550 degrees F heat resistance and want to use it to repair a carburetor air filter stud threading it’s off a Mercruiser V8 was thinking if this doesn’t work I may try tac welding a nut to the top of the carb

    My gut tells me the first repair you did will probably work because their was a good direct contact with two pieces of metal. One the second repair the step...I don't think that will hold for long because there is too much free space and not enough metal to metal to make a good connection. Hope you post an update.

    The first repair is such an easy fix. Why even bother with JB Weld, just get a scrap piece of metal and then drill three holes in it drill and a hole in that flange on the broken piece, and then bolt everything together.

    Thats no saving and its bodging will definitely fall off.

    Just buy a real bull bumper I wouldn’t bother with those cheap (damage multipliers )
