Kevin; you are so warm and generous with the information you impart. The 'Sharpie' bit at the end made me laugh cos that's so me! Anyhoo, I've just become self employed after 17 years working for the council up north (uk) and have moved all the way down south and my fiance and I have set up an upcycling/renovation of antique/vintage furniture business which incl upholstery and guess who got that job!!! 😄 so I'm eating/drinking/sleeping your TH-cam vids. I'm thoroughly enjoying your teachings so far but my gowd, can be so frustrating putting into practice!!! Damn; you make it look sooo easy 😜 Regards, Sue.

Thanks Kevin, I've just started my own home workshop. I think I'm going to use elements of your board. I think it will help me keep things organized (when you work for someone else, all you've got to worry about is a work order and time sheet), so much different being self employed. Thanks again.

I finally made my own board and should have done it much sooner! Extremely useful even though I use a computer contact and task manager this is visible to me all the time and is a great reminder of what to do next without digging into the time wasting pertuberlator! (computer)

We book about 6 -8 weeks ahead, We take the deposit, book a date, order the materials and the piece is delivered on or close to the booked date. We also have storage fee for anything not picked up within 72 hours of completion. We are not a storage facility and we are not in the moving business. Thanks for the videos!

Your right, even with the high-tech tools today the most sophisticated shops still have large flow charts hanging on walls to help them select parts, and materials and process each item or product fast and simplify the order without always going to your computer or tablet.

This type of organization is my go to type. Kind of like the shoebox accounting method - I like that too.

How do you deal with storage?
Some people leave you pcs or maybe the pcs are ready and they wont pick up or they not ready to receive the pcs.
Do you charge them storage after certain amount of days?
