That's neat how you used the symmetry of the design to your advantage in cutting lead exactly to size on the second half using the first half as a pattern.
Thanks for the longer vid, it's fun to watch the work. The circle pane is really lovely, but looks like it had some challenges. Lots of sharp angle cuts to negotiate. Beautiful result! Thanks for sharing!
I love the scratchy crackly sounds. Your craftsmanship is stunning, and like all masters, you make it look easy. Thank you for creating a channel to share your work with all of us. ❤
Cheers buddy, super kind of you to say. I love the scoring noise too but a very marmite like sound! I love comments like this it really makes it worth all the effort the videos take 🍻
You, sir, are a true artist. Love all of your work! I took a stained glass class some time ago but there I never learned what you show, your videos help me get better results, even though my results are not even close to the ballpark you are in :). Great work, looking forward to upcoming videos of more beautiful pieces.
Gorgeous design! I adore art nouveau! Great colours and I agree with another viewer, it's satisfying seeing you not waste glass. What's your favourite part of making these pieces?
Thank you 🫶 my favourite part is definitely during the final polish whilst the lead work is blacken and shiny. I love seeing the black lead framing all the little coloured sections and then lifting the finished window up for the first time 🖤🧡🖤❤️🖤💙🖤💛
Interesting. The way you cut out the shape after scoring - well I’ve never tried pinching the glass out. I’ve been taught to tap underneath along the scored line to break the glass away. I’m going to try your way in my next class to see how well your style would work for me. 🙏🏽 Jan for sharing your way. D.
The basics are very similar it's all about applying pressure/force to the score line. I just always feel tapping can be alittle more unpredictable. Tapping slight to one side of the score line can mean the 'break' isn't quite at a 90 degree angle.. If you get what I mean?
Have you ever tried to cut out the patterns with the glass oriented the same way? Like dresser drawer faces with the wood grain running into the next in an unbroken line.
I have to laugh as I looked high and low for the same pliers that you said you used. Even used are not to be found😂. I love the handle on your cutter too. Was looking for that too lol. Beautiful work as always. Your videos are on my favorites list. Cheers!
@LightLeadedDesigns I agree! I do have a pair of pliers that are alittle similar to yours I've had for a very long time too and guess they will do. I just ordered a cutter from them and it's a long brass barrel designed handle similar to what I started with back in the 80s. It is a nice cutter, I just happen to like yours better lol. Have a great rest of your week and thanks for sharing 👍❤️
Did you make your glass cutter? I haven't been able to find anything like that here in California. That just seems like it would be so much easier for me to maneuver. I have just found pencil and pistol grip glass cutters.
Hello. Can you help? I want to start doing it.. Could you tell me which tools, Soldering iron, ? Lead? thickness? black clay at the end? The thickness of lead and glass? What kind of company is lead? etc ..... I will be very grateful..
Sorry buddy that list of everything would be huge and much of what I actual use tool wise isn't available anymore! My videos are a great way to pickup tips but I'm very much a super busy working craftsman rather than a teacher but cheers for asking

I did the damage loading a window into a clients car. My first work related injury for a long time! It's all good getting a bit more movement in the elbow everyday 🧡
Long live the master craftsman and pass these skills to others. Tim 😊
I've taught 1000s 🍻 Power of the internet and making all these process videos, cheers Tim 💜
That's neat how you used the symmetry of the design to your advantage in cutting lead exactly to size on the second half using the first half as a pattern.
As long as the glass is cut perfectly it's a wonderful way to keep the symmetry right 💛💙💚. Great technique that 🍻

People seem to like the longer one so I try more like this in the future 🤍💙🩷 cheers for watching
It is amazing how fast and accurately you lead a window. I am in awww.

Sounds like potato chips 😂 fun to watch the precision glass cutting/breaking! Motivational for me. I work with foil not lead. Intriguing.
Oh yes :) Finally a longer vid :D Love the glass cutting sounds. Lovely windows - as always. Great Job Jan. Cheers! 🍻
Haha see I do listen! If people watch this one I'll try to make longer ones in the future 🫶🫶
So satisfying to watch! I admire your work. It's amazing to see people creating things with their hands ❤
Aww thank you buddy 💚🧡💛
It appears you trace the pattern of glass precisely. How do you account for the width if the lead?
Stunning piece!
I leave a gap between each glass piece of about 1.5mm 🖤💛❤️
That looks great the work that you're doing you're a artisan and a Craftsman tradesperson professional in all respects. Good work thanks for sharing.
Just a super busy craftsman 🙌🙌🙌
É muito bom ver a obra surgir!
Da sua imaginação, direto para o plano físico.

Cheers me dears! Always both sides of every window 💛❤️💙
Absolutely Beautiful.
Thank you.

Yeah I've done that type of thing before but I don't think I've made a video showing it yet. I'll keep it in mind 🧡🖤💙
Love the longer form video 👌🥰
Thank you 🍻 this longer one seemed to have a pretty good reception so I might make longer ones again 💜🧡💚
Subtle, classic beauty...Great video.. beautiful art.😊🇦🇺..
Thank you Oli 💛💚

I love how you don’t waste glass when you cut the pieces out. So many do and it’s frustrating. 😮
Glass is so expensive we don't want to waste it 🤗🤗🤗
Hola tu trabajo es impresionante 🤗🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰💓
Awww thank you, lots of work in this one 🧡💚💛
If only I could make a panel as fast as you do ..dammmmm lol
😂😂😂 If I could only make them at the same speed I do in the videos 🍻😂
Trabalho lindo , parabéns, que material é esse?
All glass and traditional lead came 💜🖤🩵
What do you do if you have glass that you can’t see the patter coming through? Or do you just not use dark or opaque glass?
Just make a little template and draw round it 👌🙂
You're work is so beautiful, and such an inspiration.
What kind of flux do you use please?
Thank you 💛🩵❤️ flux wise I tend to use a standard plumbing flux paste. Do you have any recommendations
Fantástico trabalho, parabéns

It's a oil filled Silberschnitt model, I have a couple of spare ones but they unfortunately stopped making them many years ago 😭
I'm speechles...Thank You

What program do you use to draw up your designs on the computer?
I spent a small fortune making my own design program a few years ago, brilliant tool but I hell of a lot of work 🤎💛🧡
Please tell me what the frame is made of, what it is called and where you can buy it. Thank you in advance
Lead came buddy, give it a Google search 🩷

Parece acrilico , no vidrio.
It's all glass, just art glass at around 3mm thick.. I wonder what a leaded light window fully made of acrylic would be like 😲🤔
