Came from an E92 335i with the N54 engine and ended up buying an E92 M3. Personally, I don’t regret it. If drag racing is your thing then stick with the turbo motors but the experience of an M is something different.
Low end torque moaning is what gets old. The car has a huge wide power band, you cannot drive this small displacement V8 like you can an AMG. It is a motorsport derives engine based around power, so you have to be in the power, the gearing is long enough in the manual to sit in 3rd most of the time. 3rd gear will take you to 116mph, for more punch stir the pot. This is why the dct (what I have) is the better transmission for the car. Much closer ratios for the gearing and instant access to the power band. They are like 2 different cars. However, the cars do not lack torque. The power band is 6500+rpm wide. As long as you are above 2500 you have about 270ft lb available to you before reaching max at 3900 by which time the torque stays flat and you are well in the power band. Also take into consideration that torque is a multiple of rpm and gear ratio/final drive and it’s a silly statement. My car does 60 in 4.2 seconds and 100 in 9.5 seconds. It does not lack power anywhere. Use it like a superbike engine!
Yes sir. I have the same. I have cutouts on mine, and wow what a beast when they are open. Amazing. Sorry, NO V6 sounds like this. Massive sound. Enjoy the V8 boys.
Even if you don't use the powerband it's not exactly slow. For example 60-90mph acceleration in 6th gear is better than the 335i. In fact it's faster than a 6L Corvette C6 so I don't know what these people are on about. Maybe this guy's car had some engine fault. Dodgy VANOS would cause a loss of low end torque.
Agreed, i have a Manual and it's so much fun. Race motor, therefore lives above 5500RPM. If you're not use to driving a high revving car, get a DCT. If you love manual and can deal when it get's loose out of a corner high end 3rd gear, then strap yourself in.
I’ve got an e46 M3 manual coupe. I just got it a few months ago. It’s been my dream for years and it’s my first car now :). I always tell people that I love it because it feels alive. Even when you push the gas even a little bit you get going and quickly! I love mine! Never selling!
Currently have the same car for 13 months now. The biggest thing I learned about my m3 is that it will be everything you've ever wanted in a car except a torque monster. And thats fine because revving to 8k and taking corners knowing the car makes you feel confident is what it's about. I went from 125k miles to 176k I'll tell you right now I have no intentions of selling it so I don't care about miles. Downside is I've dropped 5k into repairs, refresh parts, and restoration already. My next step is to reinforce the subframe which is another 2k before it cracks. So far no cracks :)
Without a doubt one of the most accurate descriptions of owning an e92 M3, the simple connection one can make with their car is what is important and this car simply puts a smile in my face every time I get behind the wheel. Glad you’re still enjoying yours, it was your purchase of your e92 that sealed the deal for me so in a way you’re partly responsible for my decision. Keep up the good work man, always good to know there are other people in the area with good taste...
Great video! F80 M3 owner here. The passion of an M owner is hard to sum up but you did a great job, something I fight with everyday when I'm asked why do I live my car so much. Subscribed as a result of the good content.
Got a lowly 120d xdrive..love it total BMW convert. It's my one luxury..next car is an m3. The handling on my car is phenomenal and now I cant wait..side note is never let me down 1300 miles 2 days with a 2 day break in between.
I also went from a tuned 335is to my M3 ZCP and yeah....the seats are so much softer, the suspension is better sorted, the engine sounds wicked and the body panel upgrades look aggressive. The car is small on the outside and big on the inside and it looks like it's going to hold it's value! I'm on original RBs, OEM exhaust mod, no troubles. Next car will likely be an M2.
Nice. I just bought my first actual sport car you could say and it's the 335is. Really wanted the M3 but hte rod bearing issue even though fixable still worried me and caused headaches. I think I'll skip it and like you say will get a M2 or maybe M4 next car.
I have a few sport cars...overall nothing comes close to my 2010 e90 m3 its practical and efficient easy to drive, the sound and engine...its just perfect....I hope to keep this car forever.
I don’t like the 2 pipe exhaust mod very much, don’t like the tone, and the cold start sounds more like a broken exhaust. Changed it with a M performance exhaust, now its more “exotic” sounding. Cold start is very nice now. I drive a E90 M3 alpin white manual, don‘t care the low torque, it is very manageable and balanced. It is enough for cruising with a nice sound and very responsive engine.
Have the 2011 M3 Driving - feels and smiles never get old. Performance not the fastest but same never gets old Reliability I've only had to change out velocity sensors, then just maintenance Draws questions comments conversations and gawkers every drive, every! The only issue I have with mine is, the matte paint is a real headache.
I have a 1990 e30 M3... a lot of what you said about your M3 applies to the e30... especially no low end torque and the notchy transmission.. other than that it’s freaking awesome.
FYI I have a 2011 M3 and owned it since 17500 miles and after almost 7 yrs and just passing 153k miles I am still in the stock bearings. Early on, around 30k miles, I changed to 0w40 and swap every 5-7k miles. Car is still a beast and feels better than when I got it. Granted test pipes, BPM tune and A few other mods really woke up the car. With that said I have been driving daily after those mods for easily over 100k miles. This car is the most reliable I have ever had. Just scheduled maintenance and a coil, cylinder #4, that the insulation broke down and needed to be replaced. If you hire someone to change your plugs make sure they actually change 4 and 8, up against the firewall. After that experience in the beginning I have done all the work on it myself. LOVE the car and it has not faded at all.
I thought people who complained about the low-end of Honda K20 engines were bad... There's no excuse to fall below 5k RPM if you're actually trying to go fast. That's user error. If your footwork sucks, learn better footwork. Don't complain about one of the few engines that is actually tuned for maximum performance instead of for mass-appeal to less-competent drivers.
@@slatkamala4900 Of course u can, u don't live in a high tax burden country as me... and the price is 185K BRL, nod USD. If i wanted to buy a huracan here, i'd have to spend +1,8M BRL. And THAT IS INSANE
I have a 2008 e93. Love my car for many of the same reasons you love yours. Love having the top down and listening to all the intake and exhaust noise. Never going to get rid of this beast. I'm 62 an this is probably the last car I will get. I also daily a Prius, lol. Thanks for your great review.
I enjoy watching your e92 M3 video. I also own a 09' e92 M3 DCT and a 2010 N54 e92 335i. Imho, 335i is a better daily car just because its ZF automatic transmission is smoother around town. Also, it gets decent if not outstanding gas mileage. On the other hand, the M3 is a blast to drive on HW or backroads on weekends since its DCT shifting is lightning quick. One thing I learned from this video is that I no longer doubt my choice of DCT given your notchy experience with the manual gear shifting.
For me, the BMW 8 speed DSG auto is so perfect in regd. to shifting both in normal and sport setup that I do not miss a manual transmission at all. In addition to even slightly faster 0-62 and lower consumption.
Definitely agree. I have the m3 cs and i love that it came with the dsg. Manual is definitely fun for most cars but the speed of the dual clutch just fits the personality of the car better imo
I own a 2013 e92v8m3 and still undefeated baby! I thought my 98 e36m3 was the shit but i had no clue i would fall in love with another m3 ever! Stock is aggressive and any upgrades will get it closer to chaos. I love my Bee
I concur! My first video of yours but kept me listening throughout. You got to the point but with a good amount of assessment from your end. You didn’t just try to drag out the video. Respect that, I’m going to watch another video and I have a feeling I will be subscribed before the end of it.
Very well said! Mine's an Alpine White '08 M3 DCT (G-Power SKII Clubsport/Akrapovic). Yes, the blower cleans up the low end torque issue, but I agree with almost every sentiment and observation you shared. The car has been really straight forward to work on (changing pads for track days, oil changes, power steering fluid flush, brake fluid flush, spark plugs, are all a breeze), and the car has been very reliable so far. Two things you said really resonated with me though, that you use your turn signals (same here and thank you!), and your attempt (Not quite a Wolf in Sheep's clothing) to describe how "sleeperish" the car is. When trying to explain the lack of speeding tickets to my friends, I usually end up using the phrase "Romulan Cloaking Device?" or "Nothing to see here officer, these are not the Droids you are looking for."
about that noise when shifting in first or reverse: its actually very normal sound for racecars or cars with racing technology. I have been in racing teams garages and heard quite many racecars maneuvering at low speed and thats exactly this mechanical noise, i love it.
Gotta love it when people just repeat automotive journalist buzzwords. The shifter is “rubbery” and “indirect” yet it’s also somehow “knuckley” and “notchy”.
Came from an E93 335i N54 and agree with you on a lot of points. I've only owned my E90M3 for about 5 months but absolutely love the way it drives. I had all the M3 arms (suspension refresh kit) on the 335i but theres still something more about the m3.
I have the E93 with the stock exhaust, but mine is the semi auto DCI transmission with the 7 speed box, and mine sounds awesome! I know I can make it sound better, but my wife can hear me coming a mile away! and so can my dog. Just trust that there is a reason for some of the odd stuff, but mine goes like a bat out of heel from zero, and stops from 30 mph in 15 feet. No turbo lag as it has not turbo :)
I have 133k miles in stock bearings and drive the car hard daily. I switched to 0w-40 Since 35k miles so almost 100k miles on the thunder oil which is much better suited for the S65 during cold starts and just as good after full operating temp is reached for street driving. Stock pads are garbage. I swapped to Ferrado Race pads and the difference is massive. The dust is bad and they are noisy BUT they work very well so swapping out before a good mountain drive or track day is something you should look into. You will be wow’ed by the stopping power.
Thanks for the review. Interesting about the shifter. My e90 335i m sport has the best shifter I’ve ever experienced. It’s BMW’s short shifter and every gear is perfect. So easy and I never miss a shift. I haven’t driven an s2000 which I hear has the best, but have driven an Sti which many regard as one of the best shifters and I prefer the feel and confidence of the m sport more. The b8.5 s4 was also pretty good. Strange it’s not as good with the m3. It’s a small thing but I’ve learned aside from speed and handling the most important things in a car are seating position, shifter feel, steering feel, and visibility. If these are all in line you can drive any car faster and more confidently. In the past bmw nailed this which is why they were known as drivers cars. Now it’s more about the tech and numbers than the car’s feel. With that in mind, I really really want to like the e92 m3 but the driving position is the same as my car and it’s just too high. Feels like you’re riding on top of the chassis rather than in it. Matt Farrah even picks up on this on his review of the e92 m3. For people coming from an suv or sedan they’re probably used to this and don’t notice but coming from a sports car it really annoys me. I still want to give the e92 m3 a shot but thinking a pure sports car like a Porsche or corvette might be my next ride rather than a sports sedan. Don’t get me wrong I’m sure it’s a great car and I wouldn’t regret one bit, but at the end of the day it’ll always be a compromise car and it seems like I want the pure driving experience a sports car gives. Maybe a lotus is the answer?
Have had my GT3RS for some time now but couldn't part with my e90 M3 with BPM tune and Akra Evo - I just love it. Now the M3 is my soft daily driver :) (Ohlins R&T)
Plan on keeping my e92 m3 6mt forever. Nothing else out there I'd rather have except for manual gt3. Also check out auto solutions short shift kit. BMS clutch stop and remove factory secondary clutch spring. Makes the shifting experience much better.
After owning mine for 2 years, i have no desire to buy another car aside from a 911, which is out of my price range. I also have a 6MT which is nice in the twisties, but horrible driving around socal. I’ll be buying a DCT e90 when my e92 gets up in mileage.
Giray Kharizzma depends on how you’re using the car. If you’re going to use it to commute or live in an area with a lot of traffic the 6MT can become cumbersome. The DCT is a great transmission, a bit less engaging but great for daily/track use. If the car is just a weekend toy, you can’t go wrong with the 6MT.
Can honestly say keep it bro the "upgrades" like 911 and whatnot are not worth it lol. Unless its a manual 991.2 gt3. But even then what 170k for a slightly better/different car mmmmm can think of better use of that kind of money....
Great content, I enjoy your videos. I just found out about these amazing E90’s and resulted in saving for one! I have to own one, and I’ve never ever been in a BMW.
At ur income your gonna have to wait At least another 10 years for depreciation to really take its hit on the car and then you might be able to afford one .
Hey, on the cusp of selling my 2011 e92 M3 Comp pack, akin to yours -- after about 18 months of owning as well! Went with a Borla ATAK rear section mod for my second summer, and was happy with this decision. I'm only selling for financial reasons, and am definitely going to miss this car :( I definitely agree with the 1st-2nd shift issue, that can get annoying as heck. I am writing this comment to vent really, as I am worried that I will probably never own a car this amazing ever again. The G80 really pushed down the market value of my car it seems, which jumped down from $40k CAD to me selling at around $32K CAD this year (end of summer being a factor perhaps). I know I'm going to kick myself in the ass someday in the future when these are valued at $50k CAD given the rarity (especially the comp pack 6speed)! Yeah, it's true...maintenance was not necessarily as bad as one would anticipate with an M-car. Rod bearings were done for me before I purchased, so I got lucky on that front. Also, this is coming from someone who dailied the car essentially (I parked it for the winter, oil change both before and after storage, new battery installed, fluids drained/toped both times as well). To anyone watching this video, who are presumably considering buying an e92...do it.
I personally don't have a problem with the torque considering i've had my ZCP around the time you got yours and my 35 f30 M sport sport auto trans I got last year in august. I actually like the torque of the E92 M3, if feels smooth and it feels like its only going faster as you rev higher. The 335i feels torquey but only aat low to High mid RPMS. It feels like it gets slower as you go through gears. The Trans on the ZCP? I normally would say get manual on any car but with this M3, its YOUR choice. I feel like the e92 was built to smack through gears of the DCTrans. The DCT is hella fun. I feel like you gotta have DCT for this car. Gas isn't that bad on these cars when driving like a civilized Prius. You can live with it. I enjoy my M3 as a daily even though it isn't meant to be my daily. When your depressed, think about your M3 and how lucky you are to have one and even luckier when it starts to appreciate in value.
I love the way these things sound on cold start. Ps I’ve never heard of the anyone refer to the m3 engine noise as “awful”. It’s a mechanical symphony.
Great video man! I love driving my 2011 e92m3 puts a big smile on my face every time. I have a Meisterschaft Titanium GT2 Racing exhaust on mine so she’s load. Definitely a head turner.
Nice review and agree to a lot on it. On the low torque I have zero issues though on a daily basis. I have my DTC on a faster shiftmode and it works fantastic in the city, too. I understand the problem on the manual. I have a 2011 with ESS software, Eisenmann Sport exhaust, pulley kit, better brakes and also changed the bearings to ESS a year ago. I love my car even if its been driven already for almost 170 k km. The Fox red interior still is in very condition and the Mineral white paint is flawless. Its quite fast too, tacho 100 to 200 9sec or even slightly under. Standard M2 has no chance after 100 km/h. What I dont like: -seat belt givers -Comfort access works badly -aftermarket webasto is trash -DTC when change to reverse and back to first gear, its sooo slow. Probably ESS would help there too with their DTC sw
Use 5w50 or 0w50 oil, redline or Amzoil... you won’t have a rod bearing issues.. also swap your thermostat to Motorad thermostat 880090. Look up TROYJEUP who recommends this to all s65 and S85.. it will wake your car up over what you have now. I own a 2013 alpine white competition 6spd.. just by switching to lighter oil and the hotter thermostat the car is so much happier..
Admir Hajdarevic that’s coming from a reputable builder who builds 6.0L S85 strockers and 4.6 s65... 10w60 is way too thick for cold start.. look up troyjeup on Instagram, he’s very active.. I have no gain from this.. my e92 is a much more lively after going with these 2 small changes... it’s quieter, revs faster, idles smoother.. and gets up to temp faster.. or you can stick with 10w60 status quo
And make a video about it the 5w50 redline or amsoil coupled with the motorrad Tstat #880090. Let us know what you think, it’s completely reversible, you can do it yourself in your driveway. I would love to hear your thoughts
Great video,Love the channel! I have a 2009 e-92 M3 Alpine White, Fox red interior. I have owned the car for about a month now. There is not one specific thing that makes this car so great, it’s all the little things put together that make this such an amazing car. I think the M department nocked it out of the park. Sure I would upgrade a few things, but what a car!
That shifting thing is weird, yet interesting. Is it the dual mass flywheel that's causing it? I'd assume it's already said, but change the brake pads and ceramic coat the wheels and bad. Fix that problem. Notchy 1st to 2nd could be helped with MTF change.
Liked and subscribed brotha! Good job on covering everything! I’ll be picking up my e92 M3 here pretty soon and have been doing a lot of research on it and you’ve hit all the key points perfectly!
Really enjoyed your take on your E92. Am on my second E82 135i (N55+DSG) and am looking at maybe moving up a E92 M . How do you think they would compare? (assuming you've driven a 135i 7 speed) Thanks again for a great channel!
I have near identical car, my thought on shifting is it's only slick when warmed and slightly 'patient' shifting, not good for slamming gears but I don't race anyway. It can be shifted very nicely but the criticism is legit. I have no strange behavior going back and forth like you show. Brake dust has got to be about pads, no?
you purchased one around the same time as me. E90 (sedan) and ZCP and Interalgos Blue AND manual. Shipped from Illinois to CA. I love this car to death. Im in the same boat as you. Not planning to track just yet. Safe/smart mods that keep it classy and LOVE detailing it. lol. U should do the Sparks soon! i heard it can be tough for the 1 spark plug towards the driver. I agree 100% with you in all topics in the vid!
Hey guys! I recently bought a 2010 BMW 328i. I got it inspected before buying and everything was fine. Now when I drive it, I feel the steering to be a bit heavy. Can anyone suggest if a heavy steering is common for the car or there might be some issue? And if so, what are the common issue causing the hardness of steering?
i am thinking about to buy an M3 so this video helped me alot tho. i do own a 528i e39 atm but it is both old and there are some beutimisses tho so that is probebly going to be my winter car and the M3 is going to be my summer car.
Very good points. I hated the power band around town. Zero torque from step off to around 4K rpm. Gearbox is brutally notchy from 1st to 2nd, and not much better elsewhere. Also the steering is way too light, with no feel. Also the fat squishy steering wheel rim doesn’t help as it robs more feel. And don’t get me started on the laughable brakes. Other than that it’s a great car. Suggestion: try an RS4.
I see you're from Ohio. That is definitely a bit of ways from me, but I'd love to come out and review the m3 sometime! I think the e90 and e92 are the best ones made (I love the v8 and the sound). The new m3 is cool and while I have yet to drive it, the engine noise/exhaust noise just doesn't do it for me. After reviewing a Shelby GT350, I've come to love the raw power that a manual v8 provides. You just don't get that with many cars anymore
Love the video bud. Im contemplating purchasing either the E90 or E43. Im a current WRX owner so coming from a turbo 4 popper to a NA V8 will be interesting. Hows the power delivery different now after you had the motor tuned? Did that help at all with the bottom end tq?
Lack of low end torque is the biggest issue with this car. It needs to be rung out to enjoy. The tune definitely helped the low end torque, but the power/torque is still super high in the rev range. I would say drive a few of them. It's weird at first, but has a lot of emotion when driven right
Hi, thank you for the video. I am thinking about this car now. I found one at our local dealer. It has two vent in the hood above the engine. Does water get in the engine bay?
Came from an E92 335i with the N54 engine and ended up buying an E92 M3. Personally, I don’t regret it. If drag racing is your thing then stick with the turbo motors but the experience of an M is something different.
Couldn't agree more. And the torque down low really isn't that bad.
Is it more reliable? Im afraid of the rod bearing issue. I prefer to change turbos, than to kill an engine
vivalahueva it’s not really a problem if you let your engine warm up properly
335i is a nice daily but nothing beats an M car.
i got an e90 335 a few months ago and it’s amazing but now i feel i need to own the M3 V8 next and you’re just confirming that 🤣
Low end torque moaning is what gets old. The car has a huge wide power band, you cannot drive this small displacement V8 like you can an AMG. Yep; that's my thought. You just have to drive it right and your super bike analogy is spot on. Use the full power band.
Yes sir. I have the same. I have cutouts on mine, and wow what a beast when they are open. Amazing. Sorry, NO V6 sounds like this. Massive sound. Enjoy the V8 boys.

Just bought my silver stone metallic m3 and I’ve only had it for 3 days and it’s absolutely amazing best car I’ve owned so far !
Congrats man. Did u get e90 or 92 or 93?? & dct or 6spd?? Jw hopfully ill get mine in a week🤞🤞
EastOaklandS65Feen I managed to grab a e92 !
Mike c congrats bro !!
I miss my e92 m3 6mt, it was a gas gussler for real , it out drank my Gtr by a stretch which was crazy and I make 600 whp.
bboi chirok gotta show me the gtr sometime man !

@Tim Did'nt mean to offend, just wanted to see more shots of the car.Nothing wrong with your reviews. I dont criticize someone providing free content
Have the 2011 M3
Driving - feels and smiles never get old.
Performance not the fastest but same never gets old
Reliability I've only had to change out velocity sensors, then just maintenance
Draws questions comments conversations and gawkers every drive, every!
The only issue I have with mine is, the matte paint is a real headache.

CasterTown could not agree more and totally mimics my comment!! Learn to drive the car 🙌
I just bought a 6speed e92 me recently and literally every noise I thought meant catastrophe was totally normal
Having an M3 E93 2013 is my dream, but here in Brazil so many things are almost impossible, an average 2011-2013 M3E92 or E93 costs around 185K-250K
Alisson C usd? Cmon bro i can get a huracan for 175k here
@@slatkamala4900 Of course u can, u don't live in a high tax burden country as me... and the price is 185K BRL, nod USD. If i wanted to buy a huracan here, i'd have to spend +1,8M BRL. And

"She's thicker in the back" HELL YA BROTHER

Great video
WOW I can't thank you enough because that was a lengthy video!
True! Great video!
Just sold my e92 because the gearbox and the constant ping of fuel indicator. Didn't enjoy it and it is hideously expensive to run.
Tuning definitely helps out the low end issues, just have to be in higher ranges. Good job on having the 6 speed (love my F80 6) and V8! 👍
You still own it? And if so have you changed your rod bearings? lol
100% how I felt about my e46, but I had a vert with the SMG, LOVED IT
Thanks for the review. Maybe a lotus is the answer?
the seats looks so common I can´t believe the BMW made it for M3, the seats from m3 e36 are much more sportier.
Eduardo Kissilevitch to be fair they look better in person. Especially with the head rest all the way down and pointed forward.
And the bolsters are amazing
Love your channel man just got my e90 m3 and theres not many channel m3 focused like this one. Keep it going!
Have had my GT3RS for some time now but couldn't part with my e90 M3 with BPM tune and Akra Evo - I just love it. Now the M3 is my soft daily driver :) (Ohlins R&T)
You wish you had those cars
@@haavard230 Whatever Scandi. Go Scandi go. New sub for you :) Are you an efelelant lover ?
dream garage right there mate
Plan on keeping my e92 m3 6mt forever. Nothing else out there I'd rather have except for manual gt3. Also check out auto solutions short shift kit. BMS clutch stop and remove factory secondary clutch spring. Makes the shifting experience much better.
Is it hard removing the secondary clutch spring?
Grikor Dzhansuzyan Not at all. Takes 5 minutes.
Sptsmn700 thanks bud
I got a M3 E93 and I want to keep it forever
After owning mine for 2 years, i have no desire to buy another car aside from a 911, which is out of my price range. I also have a 6MT which is nice in the twisties, but horrible driving around socal. I’ll be buying a DCT e90 when my e92 gets up in mileage.
iamshevanel which one is better dct or 6spd on e93 ?
Doug Halbert lmao they are in the 20s now bud, that’s the price of any new normie car
It cheap to buy but cost to much to maintenance...
@@doughalbert1909 how the hell do you even know his income
Great job on the video! F80 M3 6 speed owner here, but I have a lot of respect for the e92 M3. Its a very unique car; 420 HP Six speed V8!
If an E9x M3's engine sound (even E46's) were to be a vocalist, it would be Chester Bennington.
Yes
Hey, on the cusp of selling my 2011 e92 M3 Comp pack, akin to yours -- after about 18 months of owning as well! Went with a Borla ATAK rear section mod for my second summer, and was happy with this decision. I'm only selling for financial reasons, and am definitely going to miss this car :(
I definitely agree with the 1st-2nd shift issue, that can get annoying as heck.
Sleepers are my choice too. I dont want fanfare on the road from strangers, people are creepy.
I have a white E92 Manual M3 and I agree with pretty much everything you said.
When your depressed, think about your M3 and how lucky you are to have one and even luckier when it starts to appreciate in value.
abraham G couldn’t agree more 🙌
I love the way these things sound on cold start.
Ps I’ve never heard of the anyone refer to the m3 engine noise as “awful”. It’s a mechanical symphony.
H pipe and Supercharge it no more low end torque problems
Great video man! I love driving my 2011 e92m3 puts a big smile on my face every time. I have a Meisterschaft Titanium GT2 Racing exhaust on mine so she’s load. Definitely a head turner.
I daily a c63 amg 2009 but I'll give credit where credit is due. Love all the m3s especially the e90. If I could have both I would
Nice review and agree to a lot on it.
What I dont like:
-seat belt givers
-Comfort access works badly
-aftermarket webasto is trash
-DTC when change to reverse and back to first gear, its sooo slow. Probably ESS would help there too with their DTC sw
DCT is the way to go with these. Perfectly matched to the s65 engine.
I wouldn't do this. Other engine components will suffer. Only use the oil BMW engineered the engine too.
Best advice right here. Go with 5w50.
Stop scaring me about my Audi!
Good job man, I want to buy a 2013 E92 M3 some time early next year as my weekend pride and joy.
I’m picking my 2013 m3 today!! The interior is the same as yours.
I love my E90 M3 steering is amazing sounds amazing and overall pretty reliable one thing that def got old was having to out gas everyday
Thank you for making this video. Making my decision that much easier on my next purchase. 👍🏼
I have had two E92s. I would put a supercharger on it. VF Engineering.
Sounds like you need to bleed or adjust your clutch (hydraulic clutches can be adjusted for more stroke at the cylinder rod.
I like the stock exhaust, I also have the manual so I don’t want the car to sound like im traveling at 200mph when I’m in first doing 10mph...
Mystery Shopper Weak.
Thoughts on throttle actuator? Have you replace them? Will you replace them for peace of mind?
The e46 m3 is very similar to a lot of things you are saying brother.
The e92 m3 is way better thought and looks nicer too
Your car is awesome man. Apart from the lack of torque.
Why don't you get an AC schnitzer short shifter?
What size spacers are you running? Are you still on stock 245/265 sized tires?
17mm front, 12.5 rear. And tires are the stock front 245/35/19, and rears I went up to 275
I really want a e92 m3 but I need a reliable car is it a bad choice
Liked and subscribed brotha! Good job on covering everything! I’ll be picking up my e92 M3 here pretty soon and have been doing a lot of research on it and you’ve hit all the key points perfectly!
Really enjoyed your take on your E92. Am on my second E82 135i (N55+DSG) and am looking at maybe moving up a E92 M . How do you think they would compare? (assuming you've driven a 135i 7 speed) Thanks again for a great channel!
If you don’t like the color of your stock seats, just throw in a couple bucket seats.
Everytime i hear people complain that the torque in this car is terrible i think about my honda fit that had enough to get me everywhere and laugh.
Almost got the same color thank God you got a 6 speed .
Watched the entire video, really liked it. Good work Brandon!
180 or 190 without limiter isn't fast?
I have near identical car, my thought on shifting is it's only slick when warmed and slightly 'patient' shifting, not good for slamming gears but I don't race anyway. It can be shifted very nicely but the criticism is legit. I have no strange behavior going back and forth like you show. Brake dust has got to be about pads, no?
Yeah I will look into changing my pads out for less brake dust
I think that clunking is a bad guibo, drive shaft support bearing, trans mounts go bad quick.
My e36 has a hard time getting into both first and second, after that its fine but really not a fan of low gears in any bmw I have driven
I agree; however they are built for the autobahn
I have an e92 m3 manual and agree 100% about the torque
my e60 550i feels quicker off the line
This sounds superb dude, thanks for the video!
you purchased one around the same time as me.
Love that color and enjoy the car!
Hi, what year would you recommend buying?
2011-2013
i am thinking about to buy an M3 so this video helped me alot tho. i do own a 528i e39 atm but it is both old and there are some beutimisses tho so that is probebly going to be my winter car and the M3 is going to be my summer car.
Valve gasket cover and timing cover leaking oil .... every 2 years or 20-25k miles.... unfortunately on my end.
Great vid. I put elec. cutouts on mine. Boy, oh boy the sound. amazing and then back to good neighbor mode.
Great video, love seeing M3 owners share their passion
All be getting this exhaust mod done. Can you confirm it’s 4 pipe or 2.5 oem mod you have ?
Love your channel. Great job on your videos.
Does the M3 do well for Ohio winters?
What year is this car
I see you're from Ohio. That is definitely a bit of ways from me, but I'd love to come out and review the m3 sometime! I think the e90 and e92 are the best ones made (I love the v8 and the sound). The new m3 is cool and while I have yet to drive it, the engine noise/exhaust noise just doesn't do it for me.
After reviewing a Shelby GT350, I've come to love the raw power that a manual v8 provides. You just don't get that with many cars anymore
Excellent review. Thanks. I have an e91 and an E82, but keep wondering about the next acquisition: cayman s vs e92 M3. This has helped.
It's weird at first, but has a lot of emotion when driven right
What’s the trim on this particular m3 and the seat color ?? That teal green
I see NA M3, I click like, no fake power or outlandish electronic bhp, simple.
Are your headlights lux also or just the rings
Hi, thank you for the video. I am thinking about this car now. I found one at our local dealer. It has two vent in the hood above the engine. Does water get in the engine bay?
