Thank you for this presentation. I love how they put a keyboard without the numbers pad on the right side, on 16" laptop. If they have made the keyboard larger, with larger keys, it would be perfect. The emphasis point is interesting. Makes the machine look even stronger.
I own it an LOVE it. The trackpad and build quality is insanely nice. But the first one I received had catastrophic hard drive issue immediately. They sent me a new Z16. Few days later the hard drive on that one had catastrophic failure also. They sent a guy out to replace hard drive and now works great. Both drives that failed were Samsung I think. When Lenovo premier support had new drive sent - they told repair guy to use Western Digital. Now works like a dream. I am not saying it is a “Samsung” issue. Correlation isn’t necessarily causation. Just passing on my experience.
I own this laptop. It has the Ryzen 7 series and the 4GB GOU + 32Gb RAM and 4k OLED. I had bad experience with it, I own the model that has 4k oled, 32gb ram and ryzen 7 series. It overheats to 70-90 degrees on idle desktop. Tried everything, returning it!
Great video I am very interested in this laptop as well as a couple other Lenovos. I have been also looking at the Lenovo Slim Pro 9i 14" and the Legion slim 7. The 9i however is currently out of stock in canada so I am looking at either waiting or going with a Plan B. I do typical office work but also do graphic design and photo editing. I am looking at a 32 GB RAM and 1 TB hard drive but can this laptop handle creator types of work. You say its a typical office computer for executives but if I increase the specs can it handle it or would you consider the Legion slim 7. Thanks
How does it compare with a X1 Extreme? Currently have the X1 Extreme 4th gen. Battery is bad and not the the most portable dimensions. Thinking on getting either the Z13 or Z16. Scared though that the Z13 screen might be too small. And it looks like with the Z16 you can enjoy the bigger screen without sacrificing (too much) portability.
I’d go with the 16. The 13 is quite small. But I’m at an age now where my eye sight is weakening. I haven’t had my hands on the Extreme in a while. I liked it and it has more IO such as HDMI.
This machine has the battery life to back it up. Just regular work and such gives me 10/14 hours (If I'm not listening to youtube music) at max brightness and could get more with moderate brightness.
@@TechAdventure1 Not a problem, it's a really good machine with features that not even Lenovo advertises. Like being an AMD Advantage machine (If you bought the 6500M version). And most of the issues thankfully have been addressed before I got my machine as well.
@@TechAdventure1 some guy selling it on facebook market place , it was almost brand new . it even came with warranty . 6950h model with radeon 4gb graphics and 32 gb ram

Thanks. I’m enjoying it a lot. The keyboard is very good. Only issue I’m having with it is the boot times from hibernate. It’s insane.
The left USB4 port supports at least Thunderbolt 3.0, another reviewer showed this already.
I thought USB4 was thunderbolt capable on the z16?
Thanks for making this video! Not alot of them out there about this product. Appreciate your work!
Thanks! I think it’s going to be thunderbolt-like but a firmware update is pending. I’ll look into it.

That’s terrible! What will you replace it with?

Definitely. I love the slim 7
@@TechAdventure1 Thanks for replying. So your vote is Legion Slim 7i over this Z16, right?
Yea man. If I needed a new laptop, I’d get the slim. Similar use case as you.

Hey thx for adding this info. I haven’t tested the battery yet. But I’ve certainly noticed the longevity.

Does your unit take sometimes up to a minute to wake from hibernate?
Which display resolution did you get? How is it reading texts? I have an old Thinkpad and it's blurry as hell. Cheers.
This is the 1920x1200 model. Reading text is perfectly fine. No issues at all.
Usb4 is Thunderbolt and it does have it mate, do some research before spreading misinformation :)
just bought the maxed out model for 750$ today , worth it?
Wow! How??
