Indian rhinos only have one horn while African rhinos have two horns! I did a jungle stay at Tiger Top in India and we saw so many Indian rhinos and even tigers! Very expensive but worth it!
If you ever get up to Napa Valley area, which of course is nice, there is a place called Safari West by Santa Rosa. You can google them, it is a pretty cool place. It is an open zoo. You get in a jeep and drive through the large pastures of animals.
Zoo Docent here Some zoos neuter their male lions early, in which case they would not develop their manes and would just look like female lions. That may be the case here.
You definitely got some better footage of Gorilla Valley, it has been so busy every time we went. Hopefully we will get a great walking tour through there. The poop issue was funny!
We did loads of videos covering our zoo here on our channel too! Such a wonderful place! Over this last summer we went loads of times! We have a playlist just on the Henry Doorly Zoo! So glad you covered it too!
Not to be an 'Umm, actually' comment, and you may have even caught it after the fact, but 5:50 that was a Tawny Frogmouth, not a Kookaburra. My annoying nitpicking aside, great video. Nebraska resident for most of my life and I try and get out to the Zoo at least every few years with how often they are adding or changing things.
I've been to an event at the Henry doorly zoo that took place in the evening. They actually flip the lights in the kingdoms of the night section so that the animals still go through a day/night cycle.
@@GetmeouttahereErik Excellent! there is also a really cool reptile zoo. It is in the other direction and a Wall store. You can look it up. I figured you might want to go there. Also, be sure to get a reservation and have dinner at the Legends Steak house while in Deadwood. It is in the historical Franklin hotel, I used to travel for work installing software for casinos. I was in Deadwood working when a local suggested the place. By far one of the best steaks I have ever had. One of my favorite places. Also, there are several haunted hotels and a cemetery, Boot Hill.

Nice ending on tribute to Rosenblat
Had to end on a Rosenblat note, legendary ballpark and major part of Omaha history.
One extra note we just had a new baby elephant! Another due in about one more month too!

Well now the lord jungle is open, so I’m guessing you went before Jul 21

Glad you liked seeing the Zoo. :) I am one of the firemen on 119.
The big sea cave area is one of our favorite areas to eat snacks when we take a short break.

Love to hear it, keep it up! Best zoo in America.

@@Madman6884 You know your birds, amazing how much change has taken place at that zoo!
Wonderful video. Thank you for the tour. Amazing zoo.
@@p.j.driton4528 You’re welcome, love Omaha Zoo
This video brought back some pretty old memories. Thank you
You're very welcome, love this zoo.
The nice thing about walking around the "Arizona" desert in Omaha is that the snakes are behind glass....lol
@@p.j.driton4528 very true! 😅

Have you been to Rapid City, South Dakota? Mount Rushmore, Keystone, Deadwood, Legends steak house at Deadwood, Bear USA? All in the same area.
@@suezettehollinger9804 Funny you should ask, I’ll be visiting there soon with multiple filming locations planned in the Black Hills of South Dakota!

About being at zoos I don’t really enjoy looking at animals I actually prefer ignoring them and following the passages.
You just missed the jungle opening back up. We did a walking tour through it.
The stingray area is being repaired currently. I haven't got a completion date on the repairs.
Those wales area is a splash park open during the summer!
Yes the petting area used to be the old barn! ❤❤
