    I bought this bike to learn how to ride last summer. I can definitely vouch for this and say that it was an amazing bike to learn on and because it's so good looking it was very motivating to get on it. It's very light and very flickable, I almost tipped it over once but was able to lift it back up without damaging it. It's also incredibly sexy so gets a lot of looks and comments which can be motivating for some people.

      Have you encountered any of the electrical, computer, or neutral issues I've read about or seen on earlier models? Thanks!

    I own one of these. You’re right, best bang for buck and gets a lot of attention. Even my mom that has always hated my love for motorcycles cannot deny how beautiful it looks! Also one of the few bikes that comes with an attractive exhaust that sounds pretty good right out of the factory. It was so affordable I’ll probably just hold onto it forever and it will end up gaining value over time because of how rare and unique it is.

    Absolutely love the design. Deal breaker for me is the spokes/tube tire setup. Easy field patchups are a must.

    I’ve only watched your intro and had to pause to chime in. I’ve had speed triple, Daytona 675r and a Duke 990. I’ve dropped 2 times at 5 mph. I can ride pretty well and stay out of trouble. I don’t need my wife taking my bikes away if I crash. I’m actually going to get a 401 or 390 duke to become a better rider, plus they sound really fun. Now I will finish your video!

    I still cant get over why it isn't talked about in the beginner category. The MT09, with adaptive power modes you can cut the fuelling response and power in half. Making it as tame and predictable as a 500-600 naked. Then it grows with you too it's 900cc potential. That's where I started and it was an easy and forgiving experience.

      @papabarstow8565 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Because a beginner rider is likely not going to be responsible enough to keep it in B mode. Also insurance cost on a 900cc might be a little steep for a beginner rider who is potentially going to be on the younger side. That being said the MT09 / XSR900 are wicked bikes.

    Power delivery is also a thing.
    I started on a Honda CBF600.
    Inline 4 with about 80hp, but with extremely predictable power delivery without any surprises in the power band.

    You are so right about this gem and It really will be a collector’s motorcycle. I’m pretty sure it also has supermoto mode too. And it’s quick shifter & blipper works better/much smoother than my 890r does😂 Also a gas gauge, gear indicator and more!

    Can a smaller rider ride this bike? I’m 5,6 and was thinking about getting the Yamaha MT-03 because of the low seat height. Then I found this bike and I love the design.

    why is it better for beginner than some 300cc street/naked bikes (like bmw gs 310, yamaha mt03, ktm duke 390 ans similar)?

    Hello, me also finally bought a new Svartpilen 401. Overall, I am very excited about it, but I still have noticed one little problem: the “balance” of the motorcycle. - When I ride straight on the road and lift my hands from the handlebars, the motorcycle starts to pull slightly to the right ... Considering that the motorcycle is brand new, from the store, I find it a little unusual that the center of gravity is out of balance. Have any of you had a similar problem?
    Please for any advice or your experience ..
    Thank you very much,
    Jurij

      Bikes don't really pull to one side like a car might. Likely you are leaning slightly to one side without realizing it, if in doubt maybe get a friend to ride it to check it out.

    I just tried it today. I also tried the Suzuki SV650. In Denmark the list price is the same, and I must say the SV650 seems to be a LOT more bike for same price. What do you think?

    • @MOTOMARVELOUS
      @MOTOMARVELOUS  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The SV650 is almost double the price? 🤔

    • @stefanhansen5882

      @@MOTOMARVELOUS The list price for both is just over 80.000 DKK.

    i don't really get the whole "beginnerbike" talk ;)
    i started out on a Kawasaki Z1000SX and 2 years later i bought the '22 FTR Carbon
    the only beginner thing thats important is right wrist control ... ;)
    but yeah i'm not 18 anymore ofcourse ...
    the huskies are a lot of bike for the money, absolutely.

    • @MOTOMARVELOUS

      I get what you mean, but as I explained, you will gain a better skill set easier and faster on a motorcycle you can overcome, instead of lacking in behind of power etc. Everybody can start on what they want, if they can manage themself, but in my opinion, i think it's much better and more safe to begin on a motorcycle with less power, weight etc. :)

    • @Tigerric3
      @Tigerric3 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I know and in that regard the FTR isn’t a good second bike 😁
      Lucky I got the somewhat tamer ‘22
      I wanted to start on a kawa 650 but they where physically too small for me being 1m92 … I was too uncomfortable.
      And I didn’t want a naked bike at that time.
      I wanted a sport touring.
      Adv bikes don’t donut for me.
