Maytag Dryer review model# MEDC465HW0 I did another search today online and found this model as low as $535 It cost me a little more but supported a local appliance store.
I've had this dryer model for about 2 years and it's already making a loud clunking noise that needs to be replaced. The Lint trap is constantly losing the lint down into the back requiring me to frequently pull it out and clean the back out. It's wayyyy too much work for a family of 6 that has a lot of laundry to do. I've had issues with every single Maytag appliance. In the last 5 years I've bought a stove, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine (that died completely in under two years) and the only thing running so far is the fridge. Of course the fridge is the one I purchased a 5 year warranty for lol.
Sir, my wife and I just bought this same model dryer. Can you tell me if you can turn the “ cycle setting “ both clockwise & counterclockwise ? We are afraid to damage it. But goi g all the way around seems ridiculous. Thank you
Only turn clockwise. We've turned both ways. I just had to order a new timer because the stem coming from the timer broke off. Apparently you have to buy a whole new timer to fix. Cost about $100 with tax and shipping.

What brand are you choosing when you replace the appliances?

I've turned both ways but i don't know if that's bad for it or not. Hasn't broke yet but you might want to contact customer service to be sure

Hi. It turns both ways. Not sure if that's good for it or not. Usually turn it clockwise.
