    I feel like this scene gives us an understanding of why Angstrom became so obsessed with revenge against Invincible. Since Invincible is mostly evil in the other dimensions those memories warped Angstrom’s mind into believing he must destroy Invincible at any cost.

    I think the 2 biggest difference in the "Evil Marks" dimensions is
    1; Mark got his powers much earlier. Everything you described about these Marks being narssatic makes more sense if they got their God like at 4-7 years old, growing up looking down on regular humans and having his Dad whispering in his ear the whole time (Imagine the speech Omni-man gave Mark before they fought stretched out over 10 years and starting when he was just 4-5 years old. An age were a child looks to their parents as all knowing)
    2: No Mom. Once Mark develops his powers at a young age, she would naturally try to teach him to use them responsibly and would try to discipline him when he acted out. Omni-Man wouldn't have that and would eventually either kill her or move Mark away from her "Corrupting influence"

      3. Mark has an actual spine and walks up to amber and says somewhere along the lines of “well maybe if you told me you knew then I wouldn’t have to lie” amber violently lashes out at him he breaks her head off by accident, everyone turns on him because of that, except for his dad, one thing led to another, and now he’s evil all of a sudden.

    This mark is simply more empathetic because of Debbie. Even our main Mark was showing signs of becoming a notorious dickhead , but Debbie kept him balanced.

      @@Carlos-mj2ns there was a scene where Debbie told mark to do something and he said “make me”. He felt like he could disrespect her and didn’t have to listen to her because he got his powers, then Debbie talked to and humbled him

    I think it's important to note that Angstrom said "MOST" other places have an Evil Mark, not all except his original timeline, meaning that there are gems scattered around

    I think it's actually our Omni-man who has more of a connection with humanity than the other versions of him.
    I think the other Omni-men conditioned their Mark's and let them in on the plan at a young age, slowly convincing them over time.
    Just a lil' theory.

      ​@@sacaz9947It is said in the show that omni man was forced to fasten his plans when mark got his powers, as the more time he would spend attached to earth the less of a chance he had at convincing Mark to join him. I think Omni man hoped Mark wouldn't develop viltrumite genes in general so he could live out his life with him and only then conquer the planet, because 100+ years for a viltrumite is literally nothing.

      I think he had a smidgen of humanity in him too, whether it was in him at the beginning or he learned it over a period of time is the question. I think it’d be more impactful that if he had learned the human experience, to show mercy, even regret, is very human coming from a guy like Omni-Man.

    I think your theory is pretty spot on.
    Imagine a child age 8 to 12 who develops superpowers like Mark has. Without the proper guidance they could EASILY turn into a Narcissist , or develop a god complex. And if they had the kind of guidance Omni-Man would be giving I think theyd go evil almost every time just like they did.
    Also if you take away the mother its basically a guarantee.

    It's not necessarily true that Mark is the only heroic version Invincible. Angstrom is the only person who can travel across the Multiverse and he hates Invincible. Why would he admit that there are other good versions of Mark?

      This also rings true with the new Superman. Like how the faction of ex-gf Loises are kinda one-sidedly enforcing the idea that other versions of Clark could also end up being evil by being more like their father (the general) at always seeing the negatives.

    I think that half the equation, the other half is that Mark was at the mercy of omni-man and our Mark survived because his Dad developed enough empathy in the shows main universe. Nearly all the marks who fought back simply dead in the process virtually guarantee the fact that most of the surviving Mark's would be narcissistic who joins his father conquest and we're following the one mark that didn't.

      with an infinite amount of Mark vs Nolan’s out their, most would have ended with either Mark joining or dying. Our Mark isn’t an outlier because he turned against his father to the end, but because he did so, and lived

      particularly in a time travel storypoint.

    The fact that there’s a multiverse being established and it’s only season two caught me off guard but at the same time it doesn’t because everything with superheroes in it have multiverses now. I hope we see an invincible versus invincible fight

    Can't wait to see how they deliver the Invincible War and "You don't get to see tomorrow" line. It probably wouldn't beat the comics at all, but voice-acting is top-notch

    I believe the reason our mark is the most empathetic due almost luck omni-man says Viltrumite blood is so strong hes pretty much full blooded what if our mark is the most human mark.

      No the entire point of Invincible is that Viltrumites are as capable of empathy and compassion as humans are, but they were simply conditioned to be cold blooded.
      Viltrumites are only ruthless because of social conditioning, not because of genetics.

    I think it’s because most other Omni-man didn’t say that Debbie was like “a pet” and probably said, “The world will be ours, you, me… and your mother.”
    But then just kept her out of the picture with her fear silencing her, or her death when they stormed ceicil. Turning Mark into the stoic killer without his mother’s humanity to balance his father’s better and lesser being mindset.

    My theory is that our the evil marks werent late bloomers with their powers that means mark couldve become a viltrumite in his early teens a great time for omni man to plant viltrumite ideology into a young marks mind

    Ah yes, parallel multiverse theorem. Perhaps Angstrom did have good intentions, he just didn’t want to chance it with our Invincible like how Cecil is doing thus far by always seeing things in a gray area. Angstrom going slightly insane from his mind-merging is kinda expected because he’s essentially overloading his own mind’s processing ability to even cope with how bad the other versions had it with their evil Invincibles.
    If anything, omni-man’s actions give Cecil enough reason to doubt Mark since we learned that viltra-trash are always obsessed being strong just because they want to rule. Mark is in the minority because he doesn’t want to rule even after learning that he could be also be a long-lived immortal.

    Hm, interesting, this was certainly interesting.
    This would certainly explain the case for the Majority of the other Marks, but I don’t know if it would explain necessarily anything about the rest nor how our Mark is the ONLY good one, I mean what are the odds for that?
    Anyway, it’s going to be interesting to see how this Season goes.

    You are partly correct, there are a few that follow what you said but some of the marks had their own reasons for going evil some might even consider them "justified" in their actions.

    I feel like it was more of that scene of Debbie explaining to Nolan what humanity is that scene really showed a lot and i think it made mark actually more human because Nolan was so disappointed when mark got powers because he did not want him to get involved with Viltrum.

    I've been so certain for so long the big defining moment that separates our mark and omni man from others is the moment mark asks his dad to hit him again, so he can prove his strength, because he thinks that's the only way his dad will be proud, our omni man refuses to hurt him again, every other one definitely punched mark there

    Honestly, there was no mention of Debby, mother to Mark. I feel like her parenting in the universe we know and her ability to instill even a bit of kindness and humanity into Omni Man contribute to the outcome. We don't know what growing up or parenting was like for any Mark, any Debby, or any Nolan except the main mark we followed in the comics and now the show... Debby could have been a drunk, an abuser, neglectful, and so on. these examples could contribute to any other evil mark and their decision to be a bad guy and do bad things. but, once again, because of her love for Mark, and for lack of a better term, hold/control, she had on Nolan, Mark knew how to love and had time to practice all the values that made him a genuinely good, meaningful, and caring person. season two has, so far, focused a lot on Debby and I hope they make this point at some point in the series...

    Those are good points why Mark became evil in the other dimensions. But what if in some of the other dimensions, Debbie could have died or not been present at a earlier point in them and Mark only had Omni Man as a role model?
    I’m curious if the adaptation will explore why he turned evil in them (though I sorta doubt it).

    I personally would go for the dramatic irony there, he's good because he is the only iteration that almost lost his father.
    He likely is the only Mark that lost the Guardians of the Galaxy, almost lost his dad (because he "came out" too soon), became the strongest hero of Earth and earned the burden of saving humanity the same day and that would have been the things that shift his morals to "do good no matter what" instead of "follow him no matter what".

      The whole point was that he was simply too good natured. That HIS dream was to better reality. It's just that now, he's gotten HIMSELF confused with a thousand different versions of him, who all think a better world requires Mark dead.
      The only way that could have been more obvious, is if he came out looking like if two Frankensteins fused. He's like what they did to Lisa & Dracula in castlevania, except a hundred times over.

    I kinda don't believe mark isn't the only hero, because in angstrums words he said most teamed up with his dad and if the comic universe is canon as a serperate universe, it counts as proof mark isn't the only Invincible thats good in his own multiverse, we don't know if the comic universe exists in Invincible's multiverse.

    Since there are infinite dimentions, there are infinite number of events.There are many reasons why Mark would join Omni-man and all of those are true somewhere. Like yea, Mark was more narcistic, Mark had less connections that would make him feel human, Mark got his powers earlier, Mark didn't got ass-wooped so much to learn true value of heroism, Omni-man was convincing him for years etc.
    I think a thing with "Most Marks joined Omni-man" is meant to show it was a easier option and Mark we follow oposing his father shows his strengh of will and a reason why this one Mark is protagonist in story

    Mark isn't a narcissist. He's just misguided based on the impression made by his father. It seems that in the majority of other universes, Omni-Man was able to have that proper chat with Mark regarding the fate of Earth and their own fates if they didn't do as the Viltrumite rulers ordered.

    I think Narcissist Mark would've also denied Amber because, if we're going for the vain, glamorous angle, Mark would have also preferred Eve because she is also a superhero and the dynamic as a power couple appeals more than lowering his standards down to be with a mere human with whom he shares no virtues with.

    I just hope the multi-verse madness doesn’t get too crazy we have enough of it being used right now. Hopefully when this new villain is beat we can focus primarily on this dimension invincible. The comics got too ridiculous with multiverse BS.

    I also suspect that the circumstances of the reveal of omni mans nature was likely in less extreme circumstances, we see immortal still alive meaning he likely wasn't forced to explain with literal blood on his hands

    My problem with Angstrom Levi saying, “There’s an infinite multiverse. And in nearly all of them, Invincible joined Omni-Man.”
    And I’m just like, “That’s not how infinity works. There is no ‘nearly all’ when talking about infinity. There should be an infinite number of Marks who are good, and infinite number who are evil, and infinite number who are neutral and went off to do their own thing away from people.”

      Yes but the infinity where he is evil would be greater than the infinity where he is good, they are not equal. For example let us say that in 90% of the infinite universes he is evil. So that there is an 90% chance that when you go to a random world, he is evil in that world. The remaining 10% is still an infinite amount but less probable compared to the 90%. Another example, let us count from 1 to infinity and for every 10 numbers, 1 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 are all evil while 10 is good. So while the number of good 10s will still be infinite they will be outnumbered by the evil numbers (1-9).

      Any part of infinity is still infinity, now matter how ‘small’ it is.
      It’d been more accurate if Angstrom said, “Of all the universes I’ve visited, Invincible joins Omni-Man in almost all of them.” That at least acknowledges that there’s no way for him to have been to or measure every universe.

      @@ShineDark We are not applying percentages to the infinity itself but to the probability of the outcome of Invincible being evil, which is greater than of Invincible not being evil in the majority of the infinity universes. Regardless of the amount of universes, whether it is finite or infinite, the probability distribution will stay in favor of Invincible being evil. Angstrom may have had a way of knowing this without actually testing it by visiting the universes since as you said that would be impossible.

    I think it is more like, that he is a rarity. By default multiverse means an infinite number of possibilities. This includes infinite number of good Mark. However it could be, that the overwhelming majority of them are evil. Or, that becoming a good mark is somehow contradicts Angstrom's existence during that time period most of the time. Remember, that he absorbed his counterpart's memories of his own age. Not all versions of himself since that would be infinite, and universes where he never born, or died earlier are left out.
    To be honest i think, that Nolan could have handled the situation in the main timeline in a way, that Mark goes evil. Just not straight away. I am fairly sure, that Nolan has his own time limit, and is aware when the rest of the Empire will come to check on him. Beside telling Mark, that he loves his mother, and he has no choice he could have offered to give humans a time period to develop something, that can defeat him. If humans fail, then Mark will accept, that it is either subjugation, or extermination, and do their part to make humanity submit. It would have also been helpful in subjugating humans showing, that they have no hope at all. More people would have accepted the situation, if they witness 5 years of experiments trying to defeat Omni-man, and fail all the time. While at the same time he reminds humans, that he is just one of many. If they cannot defeat one, then how they intend to defeat a hundred?

    I just want to say that that theory you came up with with the other Invincibles being a narcissist is brilliant; I can see it is true because what other possabke reasons would the other Invincibles join their father after the fight. There could be other reasons, and the show can go differently, but this is the most likely reason. Great work on coming up with an amazing theory, and I honestly see it could be true😊

    i personally think it's more that while the fight still did happen in other universes they never escalated to what we see in the show/comic.
    they were most likely just verbal arguments that never got physical because nolan chose his words with mark better.

    In the comics, Angstrom sends Mark to a barrage of different universe, including the Marvel universe, where he meets Spider-Man. And to make things kinda crazy, Josh Keaton (Spectacular Spider-Man) is on board with the cast of this season, SO.....

    I have not read the comics, my guess as to why Mark didn't turn evil in this universe is actually not because of Mark himself. In other universes I bet Omni man beat him like we saw until it actually convinced mark to yield and give up. In the show's main universe, Omni man broke, he couldn't and left. This could be the difference?

    I don't believe that. Even when I read the comics I can't believe that out of infinite universes that not one our Mark is good. But believe there are many more bad Marks but with this guy's personality I think there's at least a few good Invincibles we just never are going to see them

    Amber? You think Amber is the reason this is the only good Mark. I will admit I do not like Amber so I may be biased but i don’t see Amber as being a factor. If anything Amber may be a factor for Mark not to be a hero
    I think it could be many factors small differences that contributed to the change in this Mark
    1. Debie- Debie is such a positive influence on Mark even Nolan was breaking from Viltrumite indoctrination. Debie influenced Mark to participate in the mars mission and helping Titan in a local neighborhood problem
    2. Mark’s best friend
    3. Being a late bloomer in his powers
    4. The fact that Nolan lied to him and told him about this fairytale about the Viltrumite
    5. Friendship with Eve. Listen to Eve’s talks with Mark. She encourages Mark. Keeps Mark grounded and keeps talking him into being a hero.
    While we know their are other Eves out there in the multiverse I doubt if many of them are as good natured as this Eve or has the relationship with Mark that our Eve has.
    Based on the Eve origin story and the kind of Parent Eve has. There is a high chance Eve went darkside or would not be as kind and good influence on Mark.
    6. Mark’s spirit. Mark is named is invincible but he always ends up beaten and bloody but while his body may be broken he didnt back down. It is highly likely most Mark’s back down in the face of Omniman

    Mark doesn't kill Atom Eve because it would trigger her auto defense mechanism (shown in the special episode), not just "because of their history together".

    I haven't read the books either. I don't think its a matter of narcissism vs empathy. If they always get into the fight, something during the fight changes. It's hard to believe that in a multiverse, only one every was super empathic. If I were to take a guess, I would say there is something Omniman said during the fight itself. He may have mentioned, "look mark, you're all but immortal. It's cruel to thing of any short life species as anything more than pet." It would explain why Mark wouldn't want to kill Eve, but had no problems with killing others. You can distance yourself emotionally from people you don't know, but its harder to do with something you were looking at as a romantic interest. Omniman may have also told Mark that is doesn't matter, the planet will fall one way or another, but this way you can save more lives. There just has to be something else.

    I think that in other dimensions mark perhaps got his powers way earlier, that for sure would fuel his ago and also give time to omni man to plant the seed of conquering earth in his mind at an earlier age in which he is more vulnerable. Think about it, one of the reasons mark has empathy is because he was raised and lived most of his life as a human, he knows what human life is therefore he can connect to it, if he had god like powers from a young age i feel it would have been different

    They say Angstrom is such a nice guy… but wasn’t the same result able to be found if he founded a unified alliance with his other selves? He just wanted to be the only good guy.

      His initial plan(laid out prior to the.... failure in the comic, therefore not spoilers) was to step up as he was the only Angstrom he was aware of with the portal powers. As he could bridge the gap, he needed the knowledge to be able to freely transfer anything. He failed to comprehend that he would just break his mind with the process.

    Great video!.. the one thing I disagree with is the assumption that Levy would have been a good guy if he could have completed his experiment.. as they say “absolute power corrupts absolutely”.
    I’m also waiting to read the books because the show is so good! Interesting theory for sure!

    Imo, I think (and for no particular reason) that the major difference between all of the other versions of Mark and the main Mark in the show, is that (and again, for no reason and with no evidence other than a hunch) is that our Main Marks power's came in later than all of his others.
    The one thing I latch onto to support this is that Omni man mentions that he should've gotten his power's a while ago (prior to him actually getting them).
    And I'll bet that in all those others realities, those Evil Marks probably DID get their power's long before Main Mark did! Imagine a petty, edgy, spoiled rotten teenager with omni man's power! 😱

    Angstrom did say "most" Mark's join his father not "All" Mark's their is a difference, Mark also didnt blindly stop the twin's. Cecil allowed Mark to join that Mission because even Cecil didnt know what that tech was being used for. He just knew it was using a lot of energy, Mark even stated that everyone says that when a person using a machine for the greater good... especially in Super Hero media typically means the opposite, he himself must have heard a lot of those kind of scenario's from his father it was probably in his mind as a constant reminder.

    Perhaps Mark's more empathetic nature is because of Debbie. If you do Omniman vs Omniman in mortal kombat, in one of the intros one of them tells the other "you should have gotten rid of Debbie sooner" or something like that. Perhaps every other version of Debbie was out of the picture leaving Nolan to have much more influence over his son's nature. I think the real question is why did our Nolan form the attachment that he did with Debbie, and why did other Nolans not?

    The moment I saw Mark fighting alongside his father against Eath's people I knew that this was one of two things: Either it was a dream, or an alternate timeline/dimension. I was also reminded of Rick and Morty by the way Angstrom's portals looked, lol.

    him paralyzing Eve makes me remember injustice superman paralyzing Batman Bane-Style just to keep him out of his way without killing him, but this was darker, sometimes being left alive is worse then death if you are completely immobile, I'd love to see how he join his father, because Robot did not have a Rex body which is before the Mark/Omni-man fight, also did Donald get cloned because he blew himself up

    If dating Amber would make him different, it would also be related to Amber's emotional abuse. Amber ultimately dumped Mark not for being invincible, not for lying to save her, but for "making her feel bad", a narcissistic reason. Being bit by narcissistic tendencies from an otherwise good person would make him less likely to make him see those tendencies as good.
    Merely being a good person doesn't give you a right to dominate another person, or another planet.

    I don’t mean to be that guy but the whole there’s only one good Mark theory doesn’t really hold much credence if you already read the comics. There are a lot of other universes where Mark is the hero and we can treat the tv show as an alternate universe of the original comic, like how most people do with DC and Marvel.

    I haven't watched any of the show but I did read a lot of the comics. I don't how they deviate from the comics so the reasoning could be entirely different.
    I am interested to see what they do with Langstrom and the other dimensions because that was a cool arc in the comics and hope they have that in the show.

    I think you make a great point but I think it’s more fear then anything. Think about you as a kid. You look up to your parents and always want to make them proud and when you don’t you’re scared to tell them so when he found out about the invasion he’s scared to disappoint his dad
