- REAL’s Trip Forman and Jeffrey O’Neil stop by the legendary Moonlight Glass Factory and take a behind the scenes tour with Chris Christenson and Jon Peck.
Moonlight Glassing was started by Peter St. Pierre and Gary Stuber in 1979 and has been at the heart of the surf industry ever since. Moonlight sits in Carlsbad, California and is home to the likes of Christenson Surfboards and Ryan Sakal Surfboards.

Great to see this. I worked at Sunset Surfboards when Gary, Peter, Kenny were making boards in the back room. Fond memories of those days. So great to see them still in the groove.

Does he really hand shape them? Does seem possible with the volume he does.

Don’t be fooled, some of those boards might be hand shaped, but there’s certainly boards laying out in there with CNC cut lines on them 😅
