Benelli: il dopoguerra, il Leoncino, la MotoBI

Grazie all'intuito e all'ingegno dei sei fratelli Benelli, la storica azienda di moto pesarese riuscì a risollevarsi dalla devastazione della seconda guerra mondiale. Nel 1949 la Casa riuscì a presentare la sua prima motocicletta dell'epoca, Letizia e negli stessi anni il Reparto Corse ricominciò a lavorare sulla 250cc da competizione. Nel 1950, grazie al fortissimo pilota Dario Ambrosini, Benelli si aggiudica il titolo mondiale. Furono gli anni dei grandi successi su tutti i circuiti del mondo, della presentazione del modello iconico della Casa pesarese, il Leoncino, ma anche della nascita di un'altra grande Casa motociclistica: la MotoBI
Thanks to the intuition and genius of the six Benelli brothers, the historic motorcycle company from Pesaro was reborn from the devastation of the Second World War. In 1949 the House managed to present its first motorcycle of the time, Letizia and in the same years the Racing Department began working on the 250cc racing bike. In 1950, thanks to the rider Dario Ambrosini, Benelli won the world motorclycle title. Those were the years of great successes on all the circuits of the world, of the presentation of the iconic model of the Pesaro-based company, the Leoncino, but also of the birth of another great motorcycle manufacturer: the MotoBI
