Benelli: il fenomeno dei ciclomotori

Il fenomeno dei ciclomotori nacque subito dopo la fine della Seconda guerra mondiale e si diffuse rapidamente in tutta Europa. Anche in Benelli iniziarono i primi esperimenti ed anticipando i tempi, nel 1943, per la prima volta fu applicato un motore ad una bicicletta. Il veicolo non riuscì mai ad entrare in produzione, ma dieci anni dopo, nel 1953, sarà la MotoBi ad aprire una nuova strada, presentando l'Expo di Milano il suo primo ciclomotore: il modello B44. Sarà soltanto l'inizio di quello che per Benelli e MotoBi diventerà un settore di grande successo.
The concept of the motorized scooter was born immediately after the end of the Second World War and spread rapidly throughout Europe. The first experiments also began in Benelli and ahead of the times, in 1943, an engine was applied to a bicycle for the first time. The vehicle never go into production, but ten years later, in 1953, MotoBi opened a new path, presenting its first moped at the Milan Expo: the B44 model. It will only be the beginning of what will become a highly successful sector for Benelli and MotoBi.
