Wow! This has got to be the most in-depth point for point video I've come across on this topic. Thank you so much for the valuable guidance and advice. My official studying begins on Monday -I'm so optimistic & ready to absorb. This is encouraging!! x

Thank you so much Unix Guy, I'm about to finish my first Introduction certificate, I must do the GRC cert too .

@productofGodmercy what certificate are you planning to pursue ? I am in the same journey
are you using the google cert he mentioned?
Thanks again for the great advice. I'm following the Cyber Analyst roadmap, but I'll still take the great pointers from this video and circle back to GRC mastery after I finish the Blue Team Level 1 training.
Good luck!

I’m currently a sales admin / administrator and I’m thinking about doing the same thing - I’m 30 and don’t know why but I feel too old lol hoping to make the jump as the company I work for is going under in the next year or two
I jumped on Coursera today and completed Module 1 in Google CS and Im not looking back. I graduated a webdev bootcamp in San Antonio 2 years ago when the tech industry shed 200,000 jobs. Im now looking to take those technical skills and apply them to CS! My goal is to have a job by April 2025

Thank God i found your video, i recently passed my comptia security+ exam and passed with no real hand experience, i appreciate your video because i really need what next to focus on to build on my knowledge and experience.
Happy to help 🤝🏻
Thank you so much for this information! I’ve been contemplating a cybersecurity degree at a local college but have been hesitant because I didn’t know if I’d like it. This helps because I can do these trainings and see, then continue with the rest of your plan if I do like it. Thanks again!
Good luck Brandy! yes you can give it ago for a fraction of what college costs!
I've been watching you for a month now.I am a chef on a running vessel/ship for 8 months every contract here in Europe. When I saw your video for the first time I said to myself this is what I really want to be,and this kind of job is the right for me. I am 44 years old, and I am starting today my journey, Thanks Unix guy to encourage me to do it. I have read and watched a lot of videos and podcast and this is no doubt the best and structured roadmap. Wish me luck guys
You've got this!
Hi, yesterday i started course 3, very interesting everything I've learned so far, I can't wait to get more into it. Thanks @unixGuy
After my gradution in 2012, I always want to be in Cyber security, due to some personal reasons i am working as an Electrical Engineer, Now I am planning to switch my career into Cybersecurity, I searched alot for 6 months roadplan, But finally in 2024, I have only 6 months in my contract left to work as Electrical Engineer, I will follow this Roadmap for the next 6 months , but the Career change at real time experience is the matters for the next one year to learn and survive in this field. I hope you will guide me, please. Thanks for this video.
Follow the recommendations in the video, it has all the guidance that you need! good luck!
Hey, I'm about to study Electronic and Electrical Engineering.
Would you recommend me to study it - I heard that most Engineers at the end tend to get into IT Roles later on, and I feel like its better for me to start my Cybersecurity Journey early, but also completing a degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering as a degree is worth it on the side.
You’re genuinely great. You’re been helping me a lot with this - and my life is about to change for the better. Thanks for sharing this info for whatever reason you do it. Thank you. 🙏🏼
Glad that I’m a small part of your journey, keep kicking goals!
Thank you so much for all the hard work and incredibly helpful information you're providing the world with for free. I've been feeling so discouraged and crushed with self doubt about getting into cybersecurity, but your videos have sincerely changed my outlook completely.
I'm feeling more confident than ever before on this journey and things are finally starting to click. It's a new world to me so I'm still nervous, but man I'm really excited.
Thank you again mate, you're changing lives for the absolute best.
keep it up 👏🏻
@@UnixGuy thanks mate!!
I have the Security+, thank you for the additional guidance, I will look at the Google Cert still and also your GRC course and go from them. Been aimlessly “learning” things and doing some labs since I got the Security+ so at least this gives me some direction. I heard of the forage site before and did one internship, will make sure to do more once I get to that point, no skipping ahead.
Good luck 👏🏻
Today is 11/17/2024. I’m retiring from my career as a NYPD Detective and looking to completely switch careers. I’ll follow your steps and let you know how it goes at every step. Thanks for the strategy!

Good to see you back 😊. Quality video as usual, so informative thanks Abed 👌🏼
My pleasure! More good stuff to come :)
Hey, to be honest, I have been completely lost I completed high school two years ago, and then after I had no idea what I wanted to do. That’s when cybersecurity caught my attention. But another issue came across, regarding rather should I go to college or do certificates online. But to be completely honest this video opened my eyes in an amazing way. The way you explained everything made a lot of sense to me, And I have watched a lot of videos of different ppl, but you really did it well. 👏🏽 I personally want to do the certification route rather than college 🙂. The way you put everything in order was extremely helpful. Thank you for your work. 🎉
Enjoy the journey 👏🏻
I appreciate your videos brother. They have been an eye opener. I always wanted to do Cyber Security and your road maps have certainly opened my eyes that it can be done. I always assumed it was not reachable and needed years of experience. I am working on my learning as I am fascinated with the Cloud as well as security.
Enjoy the journey 👏🏻

Sir there is a problem mostly jobs require bachelors degree so what to do ? I just finished high school and I want to do certifications of cyber security instead of degree but after courses how can I get a entry level job when they require college degree I am very confused.shouod I go for college degree as for masters you do need a degree so I'm confused about these certifications and degree . please guide me
there are so many jobs that dont require bachelors, apply to those!
Apply to them anyway. If you have experience documented on your resume and certifications you may still get an interview. Then it is up to your skills, both interpersonal and technical.
