th-cam.com/video/5hiqPTUs-yc/w-d-xo.html
in comptia security plus do i have to tick all the correct answers in multiple choice questions to be awarded mark
if the questions asks you to do that, yes
Is SOC Analyst Learning path an alternative for try hack me SOC level 1 cert?
correct :)
Good morning from Texas! What is the difference between the LetsDefend SOC learning path and the HackTheBox academy SOC learning path? Any specific reason you recommend the former? Thank you for your help!
I recommended both in different videos, they’re both good quality and similar
Do yoz recommend the SIEM Engineer path too?
yep its good!
Can you share CV template for us so we can take example how it looks like. Thank you so much.
watch the video, i provided you a link to download it in the video :)
Hi @UnixGuy, Should I need to pay for all these learning paths separately or if I take one annual subscription, can I do the 3 learning paths cyber security for students, SOC analyst path and SOC monitoring to practice?
read the description of each subscription tier (vip and vip+ and read what they cover)
Recently following your videos. I see that companies around me still look for certifications. Can the letsdefend training passively prepare me for those certifications? Or should I also look for proper certification training course? I am looking at comptia security+ and cysa
they actually have cysa training in letsdefend! check it out
I know your focus is cybersecurity. But, I bet you've got some insight on how to become a network engineer starting from zero. If I'm right, I believe a lot of people would love to hear your insight.
👍
i`m getting Comptie SEC+ Aand will get the link below. Do you recommend more certs to add on or other advise to break in ?

@ Do you think jobs become more regional? Like living in NYC area will create better opportunities? Thank you 🙌🏼
@@ferhataslantas9522 yes big cities have more opportunities
I'm currently taking the Google CyberSecurity certificate course. Halfway through. I want to go into GRC. Should I do the GRC Mastery course and the SOC Analyst course for more technical modules to learn and have hands-on experience? Thank you!
Haha nevermind you answered this in the end! Time for me to get to work!
finish GRC Mastery then do this one :) one step at a time!
@@UnixGuy Thank you, I'm on it!
How can I join in your discord 😞??
did you look at the links 😉 unixguy.com
Would you recommend this over try hard me soc analysis 1 and 2
both are great platforms, you can’t go wrong with either! I say make use of the current discount code from LetsDefend
Hello, sir. Could you give us a career path for a SIEM engineer?
there is a SIEM in letsdefend, you can make use of the discount code
What if you already completed the SOC Analyst let’s defend path 😞 what’s next do I continue with working through other modules? I was looking into BTL1 and Level Effect platform.
if you managed to land a job, then great :) you can continue learning!
if you haven’t landed a job, then you need to continue learning until you land a job. I explained this process in this video, pleasr watch it till the end:

@@UnixGuy Thanks So much and I will continue my learning and improve on my skills I am currently working through SOC analyst path from Tryhackme and will do level 2 once I complete it. One question though are you one day going to make a SOC (Blue Team courses) similar to your GRC mastery Course?
Which account is best let defend vip or free for job
vip+
In your opinion do you find college worthwhile if you want to enter this field?
it’s not a must but it can help in some cases! follow the plan in the video and you can do college part time on the side
In my country, recruiters ask for actual many years working experience and many certificates. Too sad I still can't get a cyber security job . I even don't have any interview recently 😕
follow what I recommend in my videos and you’ll get to your goal
Hi bro,
currently i'm doing google Cyber security cert. should i try SOC analyst from lets defend first. i also do have 4 years of IT helpdesk experience. i also did a bootcamp in cybersecurity. please advise.
follow this roadmap as it is without changing it. do letsdefend after you finish all of the roadmap:
th-cam.com/video/rz0RL4Xue-A/w-d-xo.html
I recently started THMSOC1, would you say let’s defend is more a beneficial course for someone who’s aspiration is to be a SOC analyst?
no, it’s both are great courses! do THMSOC1 then come back and do letsdefend :)
@ thanks! i will get a lets defend subscription now anyway to save some money
Im now learning google cyber security course should I learn soc ? And when i do start now or after?
continue with this plan:
How I Would Learn Cyber Security If I Could Start Over in 2024 (6 Month Plan)
th-cam.com/video/rz0RL4Xue-A/w-d-xo.html
do letsdefend towards the end
@UnixGuy I already watched 3 times that's why I'm now learning google cyber security course in Coursera through financial aid option
hi, i am from india,, wanted to know that i have a clg degree on biological sci, do i need a technical degree to enter into cyber security job??
no you dont
Once I'm done the Google cyber security I'll do this. Or should I pause Google and do this ?
no don’t pause! As explained in the video, combine skills, so finish google cert, add GRC skills and add SOC analyst skills. One step at a time
@UnixGuy appreciate it.
I'm learning SOC Analyst in THM; which one is good, THM or Letsdefend?
both are fantastic practical platforms, cant go wrong with either :) u can make use of the discount code here if u like
Differences between LetsDefend and blue team level 1. Which one would you prefer? Biases aside lol
there is no bias, they’re both fine and I recommended both in previoue videos. I’d pick letsdefend and make use of the code and its generally more affordable
Hey I already started the try hack me should I leave it and pursue this instead
finish tryhackme then come back to this :) both plarforms are great :)
Do both. THM is actually more in-depth. Letsdefend is straight to the point and easier.
@@UnixGuy Thank you for the reply do you have a discount code for tryhackme to ? and i also wanted to ask if i can cancel my annual subscription if i am through with the course in a moth
@@francisfrancis1153 Thank you what has been your road map so far i started from the google certificate
i am still learning on Google and Cisco
skip cisco, just do google
I enrolled in university this year cybersecurity and networking course for graduation
But I want to start job in first year it's my foundation year this course is cover Cisco and cloud and a lot
I seen videos about soc roadmap.... I think it's help me to get job in 6 months so it's easier for me to complete my degree and and also gain my experience in this field
Guide me @unixguys in my career
Hey unix guy , Actually I have done google cert also doing Qualiys cert ,so I'm looking for GRC analyst role so would you recommend me for lets defend ?
Pls share some resources for Grc role which would be affordable for students because as of now I want to join GRC mastery course but can't afford right now
this is a SOC Analyst training, it wont lead to a GRC role. For GRC , the only training that Im happy with is GRC Mastery, do the free training that i have in another video while you save up and invest in GRC Mastery if you’re serious about career in GRC
Thanks for the response pls share any reference video link
Do you have a road map for begginer interested in penetration tester courier. Thanks!
th-cam.com/video/5hiqPTUs-yc/w-d-xo.html
Thank you!!! Do I need to study SOC analyst as well if I want to get the right skills for Pen testing. @@UnixGuy
Sir, is this Lets defend course not available for free?? and
Sir, how much time does it take to complete this course, and how much time does it take to become SOC analyst through this course?
it is not free, read the pricing options. it’ll take as long as need, depends on how fast you learn
I have 6 years of ios mobile app developer experience..and then 5 years of career gap. Really wanted to getinto cyber security job ..wat would you suggest bro ? I am looking at soc analyst role .is it mandatory to gain Google cybersecurity, comptia + or grc mastery to begin soc analyst profile ?
nothing is mandatory but starting with google cyber cert and then grc mastery and then letsdefend will give you a great chance
What’s the discord.? I’m really looking to join the cybersecurity community.!!

you may wanna watch the videos properly till the end, you’re completely missing the point
@ my bad brother, I guess I missed that last part. Thanks
