The ride operator in this video 00:49 was my grandfather! He met and married my grandmother there. She worked in a gift shop near sleeping beauty's castle! Such a true love story!

I like how the White Rabbit's head is more or less like a mundane latex Halloween mask, complete with the lower half of the back of the wearer's head being visible.

My Granner{grandmother}(r.i.p 1932-2018) told me about the Original Disney Mouseketeer’s, Walt Disneys Disneyland 1954-1958, she also told me about when TV went to color & one show she had remembered a lot was Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color, she said that it came out in like 1961 because she remembered that she had my mom 2yrs later in ‘63, but before all of that, my Granner explained in detail to me how her & her neighbor went to Disneyland in 1959 & she said that even as adults(she was 27 in ‘59) she said that Disneyland was spooky ASL & she NEVER went back.
The Original Alice, Kathryn Beaumont(she did the voice for Alice from Alice in the Wonderland & she did the voice of Wendy from Peter Pan also) was my 2nd grade teacher at Toluca Lake Elementary School in North Hollywood, CA, she was really amazing, she was so loving, warm & she really loved her students(myself included in 1996).
I pray that all is well with Ms.Beaumont(I knew her by a different last name,{Ms. L is all I’m going to say}I don’t see the last name that I remember her by posted anywhere so I don’t want to expose something that may be private).
The only thing i’m fascinated with is that Walt Disney actually approved these character costumes and that floppy key… 😂😂i would run into that rabbit hole for hiding if i were Alice.

That Mickey, Minnie and White Rabbit terrified me when i first saw this video. Not to mention, the ride itself on those moments was a little nightmare.
Is THAT Karen Pendleton, the Mouseketeer? No mention of the Kathryn Beaumont, the voice of Alice in the 1951 film as well as the ride itself (updated later in the 1980s by Kathryn)?

if u think this is creepy, then u should have read (since footage of the 1958 is nonexistent) abt the experience of the ride, or watch Yesterworld's video on it

I found out that after when Alice in wonderland came out in the early fifties. And didn't do that good at the box office, Walt Disney himself didn't like his own creation and story of Alice in wonderland, and because it didn't do so well at the box office. What made sure that the movie with air again and again on TV, rather than theatrical re-releases.
And then oddly enough when the Alice in wonderland dark Ride opened at Disneyland, and Walt participated in the opening ceremony. They said that Walt didn't like the ride as well, which is kind of odd.
Now they said Walt didn't like his own creation and adoption of Alice in wonderland, of course I don't blame him. But it was a good thing he had the movie to be shown again and again on television, rather than theatrical we releases.
But it was very odd that he didn't even like the dark ride at Disneyland, I don't know why he didn't like the Alice in wonderland dark Ride.
He probably planned Alice in wonderland to be part of Fantasyland at Disneyland. But decided to cancel it, because the movie didn't do that well at the box office. But I do believe Disney fans who were fans of Alice in wonderland, kept asking and begging him for a Alice in wonderland ride at Disneyland.
I believe he didn't want to at first, but he had no choice. Because he wanted to please the fans and make them happy, and of course the rest is history. He participated or the opening ceremony of the ride in Fantasyland at Disneyland, but then after that he just didn't like the ride.
Now I don't blame him that he didn't like his own animated adoption of Alice in wonderland, but I just don't know why Walt didn't like the ride at Disneyland
If I recall Disney wanted to actually do a walk through attraction with scenes from the movie, at the last minute it was scrapped and then changed to a dark ride, maybe he wasn’t happy because it wasn’t his original vision for an attraction

Walt Disney is one of my cousins. But I thought it would be his father that I was related to because he was from Ontario Canada. But actually his mom was one of my cousins. Flora Call. But I do have a lot of US lineage too.
