I like his routine because he did the fake "Oh, shit, I just blew the gag" bit. Deep in our hearts, we secretly wish to witness a magician blow his act, totally botch up, and he incorporated that private desire into the act. "Ever stood in line at the DMV? There's a lot of rage at the DMV...."
I figured because it went to air that he didn't screw it up, but I was ready to be convinced for a second, ESPECIALLY when Penn asked if he ever stood in line at the DMV before lol!
To this day, one of my favorite acts on Fool Us. Simple, clean, funny, and original. Eschews the tacky props like cups/balls, handkerchiefs, and rings. And Nash just seems like a nice guy, which helps a lot.
Ah yes indeed!!! Very observant of you. Given that alone there was NO WAY he was fooling them. Very good. I still didn't see how he got the OG ID in the can though?
+ExceptedLemon note how his thumb stayed roughly in place as he poured it out on the fire, roughly so it splashed a little, clearly covering any small leakage.
You don't need to fool magicians, to make a good act. Beautiful routine. Every movement and every word, was very thought out. And i know this is act mind blowing for the audience! AWESOME job! Congratulations! :)
penn busts him out at the end in style he literally tells him how he did it, "nevada laminates cards" at 2:44 the card bends way more than a normal card would and they notice it, "I did some lapping, i lapped it" means he lapped the card at 2:09. and "two cans of coke is even better" he grabs the other can with the card at 5:18
no magic isn't real, and cards can't move by themselves. He put it the other can, you can see him do it in the video, the can with the card has a pre cut hole in it already
lamasmorales I know he switched the cans at 5:18, I also know that he brushed the card into his lap (lapping) at 2:09. What I don't know is how the card got into the 2nd can with Cola still in it !
+Lynxchillin08 can wasn't completely full, that's why the drivers license was wet, and penn even tasted it to see if that indeed is what the magician actually did. If it didn't taste like cola or was dry, that would of fooled them. But like I said, that's what gave him away
Distracting a magician is hard and doing it for two magicians while doing close up magic is mostly a dream :D but there you had a great act and i enjoyed it personally.
+Neel Parmar I think he's referring to first envelope that had Penn's license in it, he acted like he licked it to seal it, but never actually touched it.
We can clearly see him making the switch during the fire thingy he does! But of course only when you replay after listening to Penn for the first time😂😂
Nash Fung I do not know if I can formulate all of the necessary words to describe how impressed I am with this performance. You have an extremely rare talent that extends beyond just a magician. Excellent job! By the way, Penn never answered the question in this clip. Did he ever answer it? lol
Amazing trick! I agree with Penn 100% Even though I caught the trick, still wonderful to watch, and pulled off very well. Also great to see someone else from Seattle with similar interests.
I remember doing tricks like this in my lunch cafeteria in high school. Someone would pick a card and put it in the deck. They would put it in the deck and it would vanish. Then they would go buy any milk in the lunch line and their card would be inside of it. Everything about this routine is perfect. Inspiring, sir.
When I first saw this all those years ago I was baffled, having taking up illusions now myself and being reminded of this I just love it, real theatre and one P&T would have had in there show for real.
I love the humility of the magicians. It's "sort of" a "competition" but at the same time, not fooling P&T doesn't mean the truck was a failure. The trick can be done perfectly. But these two guys have done it for so long that, one, they know what to look for. And two, they also ask themselves "if I wanted this result, how would I get it?". Fooling them is and additional win to the winning of creating a successful illusion to the whole audience studio/at home, except, maybe 2 people.
I've watched you perform live at University of Washington's Relay 4 Life for the past few years! UW Huskies love you! Got super excited to see you on stage for Fool Us!
I actually understood the codes he used. Did it with a salt shaker years ago. But you did an amazing trick because where I only did a salt shaker from a book for beginners when I was 7 you did an AMAZING trick!!!
Penn & Teller are The Enciclopidia Of Magic. Who ever Fool then are on the way to be very well recognize by the audience. Even that Penn & Teller are backup with judge,s. I love this program!!
Took me 3 replays to actually catch what Penn means! And I can't even say I know the exact process (I'd rather not know, though. The ignorance and arrogance of the audience is what make magic so much fun) Penn & Teller are so damn quick! Gotta love the way magicians think. It's so bloody awesome!
+Nash Fung Nash, gorgeous routine, absolutely gorgeous. Your switch was really well done but the grip on the can afterwards looked really unnatural - if you think about it, no one holds a can in their palm, it's more fingertips. However... none of that really matters in real life because the audience won't have the benefit of replays! The same thing can be said for the envelopes at the start, didn't quite look natural the way you held them but might not be important in real life.
+SiliconBong That's because his mom told him he should get a manicure cuz people will b looking at his hands. Now as a tribute to his mother he paints a nail in the color she wore.
MICKLUVR!oops, thought it was something to do with a fathers crusade to highlight the importance of father-daughter relationships :) Thanks for correcting me on that, you have yourself a nice day :)
Really funny script writing, since I can't really tell the difference between good magic and REALLY good magic I won't comment on that part, but the progression of the act was enjoyable. Good work!
Can switch around 5:19. Both the lighter and the can go under the table when taking a sip provides a distraction for unnecessarily handling the can at that moment. The license switch was more fluid, but unfortunately the camera angle at the wrong moment gave it away as it drops into the lap. From that point on, we never see the front of the duplicate license.
Years ago a new mega driver's license location was opened in Rosenberg, TX, and the old location was opened for one week after the new location had opened. Not knowing this, I went to the old location to get my license renewed, and it took about 5 minutes because I was the only one there. :D Because of how long we stand in line, now I take food, water, phone battery charger, and my shaver! :D
Good trick! You fooled me. I tend to get fooled little more than Penn & Teller do. I'm saw the switch and the sound cover you did. I'm not familiar with props though, so I'm not sure how the can was done, but it's really cool either way.
I saw everything though but yet awesome.. same here, artist and magic in one.. Anyways, im outdated of new trix.. what can you call that trick from the introduction, those ripped cards combined?..
+Lucky Cristerson Tan Thank you for your kind words. The trick in the intro is a trick I published years ago, called "Color Fusion". Search for a DVD called "Color Fusion; The Real Works" produced by Zenneth Kok productions :) best, Nash
Ohh man it's so frustrating to watch a magic trick of which u r impressed but the penn and teller get it!! I m gonna back to the videos where they get fooled!
In the beginning the card has been switched, you can tell by how thin it was before it was placed in the enveloped. Then placed in a can during the envelope grab.
And three days later, unexplained bills start appearing on Penn's credit card.
you cant buy things with a drivers license..... why does this have 277 likes??? lmao
you don't do online shopping, do you?

"Ever stood in line at the DMV? There's a lot of rage at the DMV...."
What is DMV?
@@momchilandonov Department of Motor Vehicles. it's where you go to get your driver's license in America.
watch some Tommy Cooper routines if you want to see the master of 'botched' tricks.
I figured because it went to air that he didn't screw it up, but I was ready to be convinced for a second, ESPECIALLY when Penn asked if he ever stood in line at the DMV before lol!
plot twist: the real trick was he actually stole the credit card and got away with it.
+Michael vgyv Love the H3H3 profile pic, keep it up, proud of you.
+SENTIENT LEGION THAT REFFERENCE THO
+Michael vgyv He gave the credit card back right after he got it. him looking at it was just a joke.
+Michael vgyv lol to all the people that don't know all you need is the numbers from a credit card.
But he could've memorized the number lol, doesn't need the actual card to use it.
Damn I love this show!
Oh hello there. Great videos by the way :)
Erik Davtyan Haha thanks Erik! :)
You are the best TheRussianGenius, I was wondering if you could check out my channel, I do card tricks.
+Erik Davtyan thanks man :)
your video's are SUPER GREAT
I love the way penn reveals the trick so smoothly and suggestively
To this day, one of my favorite acts on Fool Us. Simple, clean, funny, and original. Eschews the tacky props like cups/balls, handkerchiefs, and rings. And Nash just seems like a nice guy, which helps a lot.
Appreciate your kind words :)
2:10 camera shows his ID swap. 2:46 that's a flimsy ID... this was probably a dead give away, especially having penn push the "ID" down the envelope.
How did it get into the soda can tho?
@@OPUP precut slit into the can. When he pulls the lighter off the table he takes the can with him. The fire is a distraction.
@@OPUP the second can btw...
Why would have chosen a flimsy ID card instead of a hard one?
Ah yes indeed!!! Very observant of you. Given that alone there was NO WAY he was fooling them. Very good. I still didn't see how he got the OG ID in the can though?
Awesome job, Nash! He was the magician at my parents' wedding!
+zestylollipop Thanks so much !! Who were your parents? :)
+Nash Fung bride and the guy next to her.
+Oliver Mannelig Awesome reply! Thanks for that!
@@olivergre1054 you deserve a trophy, take it 🏆
@@randomstuffs9103this isn't Reddit u dork lmao
5:18, he swaps the original can for a 2nd can. The 2nd can was pre-cut so he could slide the card in before bringing it up to the table :)
the only problem I see with that is how would a pre cut can that you have to put a license into not leak??
+ExceptedLemon note how his thumb stayed roughly in place as he poured it out on the fire, roughly so it splashed a little, clearly covering any small leakage.
+OneHitWonder he'd have some sliced up fingers after this performance then :P
+ExceptedLemon LOL
+Dan Burke Only thing left is that when did he remove card from the envelope and put it in the can..
Was a great performance Nash, had me in stitches!

i love when the video is something more than 360p, we really appreciate it
Everybody be like: I saw the switch... here's me still trying to figure out how penn's drivers license got into a cola can :D
Coca cola can already had a line cut through it, he just put it in like an atm machine
+lamasmorales But how did the Cola stay in the can ?
+Lynxchillin08 He had more than one coca cola can. That's how he got caught in the first place.
lamasmorales I know he switched the cans at 5:18, I also know that he brushed the card into his lap (lapping) at 2:09.
What I don't know is how the card got into the 2nd can with Cola still in it !

+Ali samadi yay, thank you for your kind words !! what matters most to me is if my viewers found it entertaining :)
I "lapped" it. lol. Great job Penn!
What was the hidden meaning of this? Usually they tell the magician how they did it in a cryptic manner.
+Neel Parmar I think he's referring to first envelope that had Penn's license in it, he acted like he licked it to seal it, but never actually touched it.
Yikes. Please tell me you guys are kidding. lol
+Phyoomz I thought the same thing hahaha
+president comacho He meant that he licked it. He found that there was no cola on it so that license must have been dry the whole time.
This is one of the few episodes where I saw most of the moves or knew what was going on. Still a great performance and fun to watch. :)
I love this act so much! Neat, beautiful, very well presented. Bravo!
Great routine Nash! Loved it :)
+David DiMuzio Yes sir :) I did a variation of this on the RC
It's so entertaining, what an amazing Magic Trick! I hope you try again to fool them!
Enjoyed this one a lot. Nice to have clean, well-performed magic with great patter that doesn't involve cards or balls ;)
I love Teller's face the whole time as if to say "this is why I do magic this experience right here with this magical gentleman"
We can clearly see him making the switch during the fire thingy he does! But of course only when you replay after listening to Penn for the first time😂😂
He made it obvious when he looked down at it....BUT how did he get the ID inside the can hmmmmmmm so quickly an without cutting it
"Now that Ive seen your billing address, can I see your credit card too?"
I laughed waaaay too hard at that one hehe

That laugh when Penn is saying he lapped it makes me crack up.. Such an interesting way for them to be on the same page
Love the way penn and teller go along with the act.
Nice :) I had to watch it a second time to see the switch. Great job, I loved this. The presentation was as good as the trick.
This was such a well done routine. I loved every bit of it.
I’m alway a sucker for “Oh no, I blew this trick!” gags, as long as they only imply risk to property, and not to life or limb. Well done!!
