Was thinking about how you’d feel about this the whole time because the act is definitely at least somewhat… derivative… of your style but takes it to new heights in different ways. Great act. You’re amazing though Shin. Keep inspiring the next generation!
That's how you know it's a good performance, with Tellers reaction. It is always cool to see. It's also the beauty of magic. They've been around for decades but there are magicians still reinventing the wheel and creating different wheels all over the world. I know Penn & Teller are still doing it too, and their 68 & 75. Proof magic keeps you young.
I know that, deep down, Penn does enjoy being fooled, but this was the first time that I can think of, that he was so excited about it. Incredible magic. I've never seen so many of what you did. Just beautifully done.

Absolutely beautiful performance. Most of us who are fans of the show know at least a few of the basics, but one thing that always impresses me is when the moves are so crisp that you simply can't see them and when the magician weaves all of these little tricks into a beautiful, cohesive whole. When it becomes art being performed, that's when I really love watching a magician. You told a story, inspired curiosity, and created something beautiful. Bravo! I'm not even really interested in knowing how it's done. It would spoil the effect. I'm glad Penn and Teller didn't guess it perfectly either. You deserved the trophy and chance to perform in Vegas
Just had the pleasure of seeing Horret live, slightly different routine but it's absolutely magical. We were nearly side-on but you can't see a damn thing! A magician of the highest quality.
I mean this in the most positive complimenting way possible, the Asian magicians (Shin Lim, Eric Chien, Yukihiri Katayama, DK and Horret Wu) perform with such an elegance it's really beautiful. It's like a mix of confidence, elegance and skill all rolled up in to one and it's always so enjoyable. An amazing performance. Congratulations on fooling them.

Wow, what a great trick! Just one odd thing: Why didn't they come to the stage to give him the trophy. Usually, they always come to the stage for a fooler. As if they weren't even in the same studio at the same time.
Yeah, imagine getting on this stage, a dream come true, no less, you picture Penn and Teller approaching, giving you a handshake as a symbol of their admiration, smiling, handing the trophey, then you realize you fool them, but then... they just sit there and you get mixed feelings about your achievement. That was a sad part for me.
Definitely agree that the editing is strange and that they never show P&T in the same shot as anyone here. They were probably shown a recording of this performance and filmed their reaction. Hence, they go to the judges. And stitch together a few different takes of fooled/not fooled. If you watch the reveal again, you definitely can feel Penn acting and Alyson's odd cadence Scheduling conflicts, flight delays, health reasons, sometimes things can't come together in person in show biz. That was a truly amazing performance, with high innovation, interest and mystery. That's very hard to achieve with just cards anymore and it is seldom seen. Thanks for the show.
I’m sad that I’m only seeing this now because it’s so utterly stunning from start to finish! I’m delighted that you fooled them because this is true magic!
The camerawork and constant cutaways is infuriating. It's so distracting. We don't need to see long range shots of the magician from seven different angles. We just want to see a close up of his hands and the cards in one continuous shot. Why do the producers of these sorts of tv shows insists on ruining the effect and detracting from the performances? Penn & Teller Fool Us was never like this. But this reminded me of all those stupid shows like 'Got Talent' and 'X factor'...
BEST magic tricks are the ones where even if you know how it's done, yet you still won't notice a thing. I knew when you made the switches, but from those camera angles i couldn't see them. I believe you used "magic matt" and sleight of hand, nothing more. (some cards slipped into and out of the matt). like when you flipped some cards, i could clearly tell you made very odd move, which is where you swapped the cards, but even so, i couldn't actually see the swaps. This is truly amazing, well deserved fooler trophy.
