@@Intimatycal I don't think so. He responded "I figured that" to Penn's comment "the fact that it's classic also means we probably know how you did it."
Hello friends, Bobby Torkova here! I'm thinking of posting a video about how I got on Fool Us and my experiences with the show. Is this something you would be interested in seeing? Let me know your thoughts! Thanks!
Absolutely Bobby! Tell us :) I think I speak for everyone here when I say you seem like a great guy and we loved your act. Well done mate from the UK 🇬🇧
I'll second that!! I've seen a couple I knew (and later confirmed) that were done SO flawlessly they really should have received more than a "Wow... nicely done" comment. At least more than what any other "attemptee"(? -er?) might receive. Mr. Torkova seemed perfectly satisfied with his performance and P&T's response and I'm happy for him. But I think many viewers felt he deserved at least a little more.
I have a stutter and I often have let it control my life. Like not taking jobs that involve a lot of talking, barely talking on the phone, dating, etc. I've gotten a bit better with it over the years but it's still there. Seeing someone with a stutter on stage makes me want to pursue things that I let go because of my own stutter. Amazing show!
@@myjourneyinmagic It made my night to see you reply to him, Merry Christmas, now I feel inspired, too. That was really nice, a class act on and off the stage.
There are so many acts that come on the show showing a trick they've worked years to develop just to show one time in hopes of winning that trophy. Then there's beautiful entertainment and no one cares if they won a trophy or not, they thrilled everyone. Bobby epitomizes that. Simply beautiful.
I smiled the whole time and enjoyed the whole routine. Ditto to everyone on the fact that you were one step ahead of me with the dropped handkerchief. Thank you for this wonderful performance.
The blue scarf drop was absolutely brilliant, but there was another great bit at the beginning, and I'm surprised Penn didn't mention it: the scarf with the hole in it that EVERYBODY thought you were going to restore, but instead vanished. I love magic tricks where totally unexpected things happens.
My most beloved grandma passed away a few years ago. Seeing your smile reminds me so much of her. So loving, so playful, so childlike, so kind and so pleasant. Your smile puts a smile on my face, not only because it reminds me of my late grandma, but also because I can sense the sincerity in it. Please be safe, be always happy and healthy. Thank you for the joy you brought me today.
You went into it full well knowing you wouldn't fool them, but you put on an excellent show anyway. Such an stylish and entertaining routine. Pure class.
When you dropped the blue kerchief I really thought it was an accident and I was genuinely surprised to find out it was on purpose, well done. Fooled me!
what a wonderful routine! i absolutely love the old-timey feel, it's like you traveled through time just to show it to us! it's so easy to tell how much you enjoy entertaining people.
Of course they were going to know this one, it's almost as old as magic itself. Just like everyone knows the song "Happy Birthday," but, get a truly great singer to sing it, it turns into something special. That's what this guy did, he took something familiar and turned it into a thing of beauty. It reminded me of why I like magic so much.
This was a perfect performance with great music and great story telling. I feel like i was transported to a different era and experiencing magic for the first time.
This was so great. After a quarter a way into the trick I stopped trying to figure out and just sat back and enjoyed the show. It's so rare that people manage that on this show.
This act brought such an innocent smile to my face. I had absolutely no idea how the trick was done, but that’s only half of it. The music, the mannerisms, the performance itself was just full of that carefree creativity that I remember from being a child. It’s almost looney-tunes like, the instructions and the paper; I was absolutely able to believe that that sheet of paper made flags out of scarves. Not just in the magic, but in the context of the performance. I love this act :)
It wouldn't matter if I knew how he was doing anything. I felt like I went back in time and that would make it worth the price of admission and more. Such a beautiful act. Such a sweetheart!
This is so classy and good. Showed this to my 5 year old who has fright of speaking. He now has an idol to look up to and wants to become a magician. Thank you for being an inspiration and an entertainer.
A classy routine that could have been performed 100 years ago and could be done 100 years in the future. One of the reasons I like this show is that even if they know how the trick is done, Penn & Teller are always polite, complimentary and congratulate the performers
Just watching Penn and Tellars reaction to everyone, it's clear they are in love with their craft. It was pretty obvious they were going to know how this was done but no magician is going to turn down the opportunity to perform in front of such legends of the industry.
I love that every so often a magician comes on to just put on a great act, knowing full well it’s not going to trick Penn and Teller. He’s not the first, but he sure was my favorite. Bravo sir.
As someone who has a stutter, I love this! You have wonderful stage presence, the audience was completely captivated, and there's not a single thing about your routine that I didn't love. Thanks so much for sharing it with us!
Wow that’s showmanship! I truly thought that the blue handkerchief really fell by accident and only a great performer can pull that off. And the whole act was so nicely timed and tidy. I loved it and I’m usually now one for classical silk magic. But it was refreshing seeing some “old” again and being performed so incredible well!

There is something so inherently charming about a "classic" magic routine. It almost makes you nostalgic for things you weren't around for; I can picture you doing this exact routine in a vaudeville show, even though I'm fairly certain that you, me, and everyone here on TH-cam is far too young to have ever seen a real vaudeville act.
Thank you, I'm a big fan of classical magic. And yes, Vaudeville was pretty much over by the time I was born. Would have liked to see it though, especially with some of the great magicians of that era!
I've seen countless routines on years of Fool Us and of course for decades before that. This was a beautiful, classic and original routine that I thoroughly enjoyed. So well executed and performed. What a pleasure!

Beautifil act, feels like an antique from the beginnings of Magic, truly Classic.
I enjoy classics a lot More than More complex tricks.
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed my magic.
Yeah, the real magic is what a stage does to insecurities. It's inexplicable how being someone else on a stage can truly help you be yourself, but it is always beautiful to see. And that is one heck of an infectious cutesy smile, Bobby.
Thanks very much.
2:11 even though he knows how it’s done the wonder in Teller’s eyes shows how much he appreciates the act

You, sir, bring such a sense of joy with your performance. We all who have seen it, have been truly enriched by the experience.
That's wonderful to hear, thank you!
@@myjourneyinmagic You are most deservedly welcome
Awesome performance!
My dad has a stuttering issue, and I went through 5 years of speech therapy myself for it.
We are defined by our character and our efforts, not the bumps in the road behind us.
LOVE the way this is set up like an old silent film, what a cool bit!
I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
