I really believe it’s all about humble confidence. Older men have less to prove and more to be confident about. This allows them to relax and be more approachable. That’s fundamentally attractive to women. Younger men tend to have more insecurities, and they often try too hard to compensate for these insecurities. Women pick up on that right away and it’s a turnoff for them.

I definately agree!!! As a 47 year old bachelor, I can attest to the trauma of both being a caregiver to my family on many levels for most of my life, especially to my elderly mother with dementia as well as the loss of both my younger sister (a maturer woman herself) to cancer 14 years ago at aged 29 and the loss of my father just over a year ago at aged 87. It has changed my perspective on life...even to the point of now allowing the natural grey of my gotee to show rather than coloring it. Though I still go out and party as I am a salsa dancer, performer and instructor, I am also more appreciative of the simpler things in life, like a night stroll in my downtown city to check out a couple of art walks and mingle with artists over a glass of champagne, which I did just last night!! Since allowing the grey of my gotee to show and having an assertive goal-setting, but calm and chill outlook on life, I've begun to notice the attraction of younger women to me!!! 😉

From talking to younger women - one of the frustrations they have is that younger guys just don't know how to treat a lady right. One woman was telling me how much trouble she had dating guys. She was an attractive woman, financially secure with a very good career. She said the guys she had dated lacked ambition, would show up for a date looking like they had rolled out of bed, didn't act masculine, on-and-on. She was frustrated because she wanted a family and felt like life was slipping away. From what I see of younger guys lately - they need a lot of help.
They've been told its sexist to act masculine. What a sense of entitlement that woman has.

I'm 40 and I like 21 yr old hoes in poor third world countries. The more naive and innocent the better. You want them dumb enough so that they don't manipulate you. You want them young and sexy enough on their prime. Once women get bitten by life or experience a bad 💔 breakup with their first love, they start becoming Man Haters. A woman becomes manipulative and very opportunistic mid 20s and up to 30. Once she reaches 30, she's done with the B.S. and won't put out.

I’m an old married guy who went out with some friends recently; which I never do. While imbibing, laughing and having a great time, a younger woman approached me and told me her friends wanted to meet me. I was extremely flattered but told her I was married. Turns out the women were in their early 30s; I’m 57! I went home that night with a buzz and a renewed swagger. I mention all this because it really boiled down to a few things: I try to stay put together with age-appropriate style, exercise, skin care and confidence. It works guys!

Yes its true. I'm certainly noticing the effect in my 40s. Traditionally speaking a man's prime is meant to be 40, 50 +. It's a better match and pairing in many ways.

It’s a not a sugar daddy issue… we live in the “me too” era and that makes everything complicated for everyone… that gives a little advantage to older guys because of experience and attention to details… It is difficult to create a meaningful relationship these days, I saw it with my older son 🤷🏻♂️

Many women like older men because we’re more mature than younger guys and we have our shit together. They don’t necessarily want a super rich guy, they want someone who is financially stable, and yes, has goals.

You are right, it's not always about the money. I went on a date with an older man and i was just amazed about the knowledge he have in wines and brands etc, he made sure they brought me the best wine. No man in my age group have ever had such details, and i just fell so good being with him on dat date.

Older guys can attract younger women but just because they are young it doesn't mean they are okey. It's not easy to find a compatible partner that's the problem. Older guys can sometimes be picky too. 🤔

Exactly John! Men develop our value over time. Women want a provider, protector, and leader. Older guys meet their requirements. My teenage daughter told me 2 weeks ago the girls in her class call me a DILF. I've never heard that one! Scary that at their age those instincts are already coming into play.

That might explain why this summer while here to swim they would hang out at the kitchen island in their bikinis while I was cooking or cleaning just chatting with me. The "flirt" gene in females kicks in at around age 6. It is perfected from then onwards.
Coupled with the steroids and stuff put into foods for the last 30 years, the growth rate in both girls and boys is unnatural. Notice the heights and body sizes of many tween boys. Almost "Freak Show" material.
It wouldn't be uncommon for some men to be taken in by underage girls. Now there's a nightmare, waiting to happen! 😨

I am gonna turn 39 this year. And I too have been tiddying myself up and hitting the gym and have a good career. Although I sorta try and flkirt and make eye contact with the girls, still havnt landed as of yet. But i do notice more look backs.
Money is about the experience it opens up. You can't go out anywhere, local or otherwise, without money.
My partner is a couple of decades older than me, and I certainly agree with the video. He is a gentleman, great in bed, been to a lot of interesting places, confident about planning a date etc, really appreciates my feminine charms and regularly compliments me, and is secure enough in himself to take on board any suggestions I do make, such as when I said that I'd find him even more handsome if he lost that bit of extra weight he'd put on from the work lunches at his new job. He went out and lost some weight, and then I was able to tell him how great he looked, and how much I appreciated that he listens to me. He is chivalrous, always paying on a date, making sure I'm taken care of. And he is great for asking advise from or talking about things with, because he has experience and emotional maturity.
All you need to know is have a purpose, work on improvement (take care of yourself) and be confident

The reasons women go with older men is simple! Older men are of the generation who truly like and respect women. Are mature, more masculine and have a healthy respect for money and finances. They dress better because that's how their generation were tailored. They are better at chatting to women instead of via a mobile.

Interesting points and as usual another superb video from 40 Over Fashion! As a mature man myself (54 year old) I only disagree in one point which I believe it is a myth: I still have to find compelling evidence (scientific and empiric) that women mature faster than men. Other than growing faster on a physical and emotional levels in the early stages of human growth (childhood, adolescence), I don't think there is a correlation between gender and emotional maturity in later stages of human growth and development. I guess that's because emotional maturity after the adolescence is more related to experiences and environment, so different exposure to different stimulus most likely produce varied results in different cohorts.
Agreed , and have asked this repeatedly. Women assume they are more mature or civilized. It’s a message they’re fed.
Maybe it’s the brain’s unconscious calculus of the biology/sociology of offspring survival (longer term the older man signals as less drama in a relationship, more physical security and emotional stability in rearing; in exchange for continued opportunity [because she’ll continue to be fertile for a bit, longer] for him to propagate).

My excuse is that, like the 'Inside Out' movie, I've always had a character in my head on the look out for beautiful women. I've grown older, but that character hasn't. I used to always take my latest toy to show a pretty neighbour when I was 2-3 years old. I know how old I am, but the character is still 'on watch'. It directs my vision, and now I also check how the young guys are performing, and they often seem to be unaware, even when they've just been passed by someone they should have noticed!
I do sometimes get some eye contact and also social contact, from younger women, in the day to day activities, which is fun, but my current situation isn't good for anything further. I've picked up a few things to engage strangers of all ages in conversation. It used to be called 'ins', such as always showing something that folks could ask you about, books or magazines, but now I look for something current and pertinent about the person or the situation. So it's good practice to get talking to everybody (who responds reasonably), so when chatting to younger women, it isn't out of the ordinary.

Waylon Jennings sang a good song with the line "I've got a couple of years on you babe and that's all". It endswith a line about the lady getting a younger man sometime in the future. While he had a wonderul relationship he spent many years working in an environment where the age differece was common in very public relationships, but it is suprising today, looking back at Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard Etc Etc, built what became lifetime marriages that started out with affairs with much younger women, Having spent the last 70 years working and living the same hours as a member of the Rolling Stones band, the other side of the coin is that you have a person in your life who is not concerned about daily mundane issues.Three of my young wives all died before they were 50 and the other one went and bought a Hotel in Ireland and got cranky with me beause I would not give up my Business Career to live out a fantasy, But a succesful relationship, based on a considerable age difference can survive well, in fields such as Politics and computers, because so many of the leaders in those fields are woman and they are in all age groups. I like Jordan Peterson's take that it's all about men's competency - how competent they are in life, what they've achieved etc, which reflects the evolutionary importance of a man's ability to provide. This often gets confused with level of income of course, as generally this often reflects his competency....but not always. Apparently research has shown that its not the level of pay as such that a woman finds attractive, but their level of achievement. So a guy high up in a not-for-profit organisation would still be attractive, even though their pay may not necessarily be that great.
And this competency often displays itself as confidence, which we also know is attractive.
That's my 2 cents' worth.

@ Mohmmad Anngi Nugroho MC Jogja. Living in Melbourne Australia it is noticeable that many who watch the lifestyle of other countries often have a major problem in accepting change. A century ago when there were very few Families who had lived in the Country for up to the time the first European settlers came for the 1850's Gold Rush were all proud to simply call themselves Australians. It took up to 6 month to get here by Sailing Ship, cost a lot of money and there were no jobs. But there was mutual respect and understanding from shared experience.
Now people looking in from the outside are becoming vocal critics, because all they have done is look. To gain knowledge you have to participate, and share. Phil.

1:25 I date a wide range of ages for starters. Well last month I went out on a date with a 40 yo, been mostly dating much younger women at this point and I wanted to date someone closer to my age. This women had no degree, no career, and her children lived with her parents in another state. She basically lives her life much like a College student, working misc jobs and taking road trips when ever she gets the chance. I'm a financially stable homeowner who's more than able to support someone. Its not a money issue for me, I was just amazed at her situation and couldn't move past it. I've dated much younger women who have more going on for themselves. So yes, I get what you're saying. Part of the appeal of dating an older man is we have our shit straight and these younger women don't have to worry about entering a relationship with someone they have to worry about supporting.

Social media and dating apps has ruined dating for men in general. The average women gets 100s of matches and messages from men. While average men get little to none. If your busy and successful who has time to hang out at places to meet anyone? I don't. I'm more busy now that ever before.

Since the beginning of time men have been trying to figure the key to attracting all the women. There's so many unknown variables that float around in a woman's mind that you're not even aware of if I had to put the one Secret that would probably work for an average guy it would be it's a numbers game you have to do enough approaches to build up your confidence be relaxed around them again enough experience so you don't screw up in an opportunity.

I recently met a younger woman. She was gorgeous looking. Nice slim body. Nice conversation. Soon after I noticed how she would shut her phone off after 8pm. So one day asked her about that. Her respond, “I’m sometimes busy and don’t want to be disturbed. (Strike one). On a different day I had lunch with her. She gets a call and steps outside of the resurgent to take the call. I’m sitting there eating my lunch and starring at hers. She comes back about 15 minutes later and says it was an attorney for her kid that was involved in a accident. (Strike two). On a different day I noticed how bald her tires where on her car. I asked about it and she says she was trying to get a pair of used tires. (Strike three). I later thought about this good looking flashy dressing lady and deleted her her contact from my phone.
On another occasion I met a lady that was ten years older then me. Soon after I noticed how emotional she was over a hot water tank that busted and needed to be replaced at her home. She had the money to replace it but complained a little too much for me. On another occasion she asked what my sign was as in horoscope. I soon very quickly lost interest, checked out in my mind. I moved on.
It is brutal out here. Lots of females and women but not a lady in sight.
Going for age appropriate (ie your age, give or take) might be a good start.

Great content John, As more & more men are taking great care of themselves & aging well, it will only increase our value as a partner. My advice is to take a honest look at what you have to offer. If you're lagging behind in certain aspects of what you bring to table & it's somewhat out of your control, like money $$ ? If that's the case strengthen your best qualities ! From my personal experiences I can say with certainty That being intriguing, good physical shape & most importantly " mentally secure " can only aid in your pursuits. I have cool hobbies, great taste in music & be adventurist !! Women love being whisked away. I'm not talking the Greek islands, but a sunset picnic somewhere special to her. Another great quality to have is be young at heart ❤️
