This video was perfect. I looked for awhile until I found this one. All the other videos helped with torsion bars which was not what we had. Thanks for making the video and explaining it in a way that I could understand.
The directions it comes with are horrible. The steps and pictures are for the largest door. Once I went through the list to confirm what parts were missing, I realized that the parts weren't missing because I had a smaller door than the example. But I still had to guess how to hook everything up. Thankfully this video shows that I guessed right.
thanks for the video looking for how to tie that cable with the lighting the way it is it's hard to determine exactly how the cable is tide would have like to seen it demonstrated
I don't have enough headroom to mount the springs like this. I need to know how to install them on the side of the door. That is how the old springs were installed.
No matter what I do the 9x7 I just installed is the same way, if I adjust the springs so it sits high enough it lifts off the floor. Seems like the springs are too strong for the weight of the door. I'm just going to get an automatic opener, they weren't much help when I called them
@@bizzle4819 The door needs to be balanced. If it's not it puts undue strain on the opener. You need to weigh the door to know the proper strength springs to get.
Exactly what I needed - joined a Facebook group turned out it was Trade Only - Boy did I encounter some downright rude SOB’s - they didn’t like it when I asked what university course did you major in as an Garage door installer - Seriously rude people when all I needed was someone to show me this video- I get it and understand the safety wires - idk what’s wrong with this trade my trade I’m more than willing to be proactive and save someone from injury in propane or compressed gasses and I have a pile of tickets and willing to help anyone for the sake of the industry- All I’ve heard all day is Call a professional or your on drugs - it’s a feckin roller door with two springs it’s not like setting four camshafts on a Range Rover V8 - of which I can do lols
LOL, the installer that put in my doors ripped the decals with the model and serial numbers, off the door so that I couldn't contact Clopay to get the weight of the door or get a replacement panel. He then claimed that he did not have the serial or model numbers in his records.
I install them from time to time when I can't convince the customers to buy anything else. your hinges turn to crap with in a week. they seem bone dry. I have to dump a can of pro lube on them to make it like any other door on the market.
At 3:57, I don’t see a button on my brackets. Any thoughts on what to do besides getting a new system?

Very informative and simple to follow instructions.
I thought the tension was supposed to be such that the door would hold itself at the halfway up position?
That is true.
Thanks for not having any annoying noise ( I won't call it music) or beginner guitar playing.
Out of all the videos I watched this one was most helpful, and will return to it when I replace my springs and cables along with new safety cables
Thank you!!!!!! One of the only non automatic videos I could find 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Very Clear and easy to understand, many other videos on this subject are not as good.
thanks for the clear instructions.
Thank you for your very clear how to.
Just the video I was looking for. Best part of TH-cam is how to videos like this one!
Written instructions are incoherent. You need an engineer like me to make something usable for you.
Clopay I have one of the original doors your guys made a 1990 16x7 wood door still works well and it's a good door for its age
Very helpful
Glad you think so! Thanks!
The audio says install the front sheath bolt with the head of the bolt towards the door. The video shows the opposite...which is it?

Great video, exactly what I was looking for. The supplemental instruction manual wasn't clear on this.
You need a link to the first video!!
How do you adjust how high it stays open? Mine kinda sag below the top of the opening and my jeep barley makes it in

I thought is was a good little film.
Great Job to the point
EXCELLENT
Thank you man!
I’ve been installing garage doors for 8-9 years and this is NOT HOW YOU INSTALL A GARAGE DOOR
Why are you watching this video then? Where’s YOUR video?

Oh WOW. YOUR So Smart...🖕
Clopay, always the loudest door on the block.
Hello Shawn, we are sorry you feel that way. What Clopay door do you have?

What's that black strut above the middle of the door?
