I always liked Barlows , daddy carried a Queen Barlow in the early 60’s and he bought me a Barlow when I was 10 way back in 1961 .I did several plumbing calls for an old woman and always was a black handle Barlow on her garage hand rail with a broke main blade , I’d always pick it up and open the pen blade but no name on it . One time when I picked it up she gave it to me and told me it had been her half brother ‘s knife who was killed in action in Germany in 1944 .He was Thomas Farley . I modified a small spear point from a buck creek canoe that had broken spring from celluloid break down . Now it’s perfect like it was made for it , nice snap easily opened and flat in the pocket. I honor that fallen WW2 soldier every time I pick it up..

I bought Barlows in the 50’s for a buck in the local hardware stores. They were sold on a cardboard sheet, usually located near the stores cash register. I bought a boat load of them because I was always loosing them or loosing them in a game of mumbley-peg.

I have some of the old hammer brand Barlow knives that came off of a sheet from an old General store that use to be here

I’ve got a bunch of old rusted Barlow knives in mine and my dad’s old knife collection. I’ve got a Boker tree brand knife too… A lot of them have broke blades and stuff. I’m thinking about fixing one up for my nephew.

These are all really fantastic! That Ka bar saw cut looks great! I found a really out Ka Bar muskrat that was so worn down, but man it still have a awesome snap!

We have a big knife show about 4 times a year here in Kentucky so I try and load up when I have the extra moolah
