Thanks from Germany. I don't get such information about the history of brands and patterns elsewhere. I like the great American outdoor heritage a lot.

I’ve collected many Barlow knife’s. Mostly used, each one has it’s own story.

The Barlow information was great but thanks also for mentioning Tom and Huck. Those are two of my favorite books and the reason i got into collecting Barlows in the first place.

I love the nostalgia when I whittle spoons and other items with my two blades Barlow sitting on a log carving away hours is very therapeutic during Covid especially helped me out a lot the two blades Barlow are my favourite pocket knife above any other pocket knives I collect them too mainly rough rider ad my finances won’t permit likes of case or other high end cost blades greetings from the uk 🇬🇧 👍🇮🇹🦊🐾

Great to see a video from you! I've always found the barlow to be a neat pattern, because even though it's not an original American pattern, it has been a big part of our history since the founding. And for me, it's a nostalgic pattern to carry, as my grandfather carried a barlow everywhere he went and I have great memories of him whittling with that knife. I've actually got the same yellow Case model that you have there! Cheers, buddy.

As Theodore Roosevelt was fond of saying when shaking someone’s hand - delighted! I was delighted when I saw despite the machinations associated with the pestilence du jour you’re back, if on your porch. Hoping for yet more. I am doing a review on my channel next week and will be delighted to give you a shout out.

Thank you for watching, leaving a comment and asking a question. In a sprit of truth and transparency , the "quill" in the demonstration was a plastic straw. The video was produced during the post COVID supply shortages. So we had to improvise.

I just like Traditionals, they have character and I get a much bigger buzz when I've just got a new Traditional than a modern though I still like some Moderns. Mostly use an A Wright two blade Sheffield Barlow, it's built like a tank with a fantastic carbon steel clip point. It's my ideal of what a Barlow should be. Like American Barlows but the Sheffield ones just have something.

What happened to this channel? I just found it and enjoy it, but seems to have died a couple of years ago

Thank you for watching and making a genuine inquiry . The channel hasn't produced content recently, for simple mundane reasons. For example our chief camera and editing tech got married .And others of us had sundry changes of circumstance. After the dust settles we genuinely hope to restart the channel.
