Not only have I been happy with the Case knives I’ve purchased over decades; I’ve been very satisfied with their customer service when I have had issues with a knife.

Stated it as it is! I'm with you brother; these Case knives are amazing for the price, and American-made.

The point of Case Knives is everyone is capable of affording a nice quality, good looking, functioning tool that will last a long time with the colors, bone etch, and pattern of your choice. Affordable enough to be in every man’s pocket!

Totally agree and you even changed my mind on somethings too. Thank you for helping me see the bigger picture. All great points and a much needed discussion in the community. Case has had some issues with quality control, but every company has that. If people are comparing old Case quality to new Case and saying they've gone down hill, that could be fair. However, I would say older knives were built better, in general, than ones made today. I know people compare Rough Ryder to Case and say Rough Ryder is better quality. From a quality control standpoint I've had the same amount of issues on my Rough Ryder knives as I've had on my Case knives. And Case uses better quality materials than Rough Ryder does. Rough Ryder are cheaper, but you get what you pay for. What does bother me about Case is they changed from using stamps to using etchings on the tangs. I'm worried about it possibly rubbing off over time. In the end, Case still makes great knives. They are not only collectible, but wonderful users as well. Sorry that was a bit of a rant. That gun fighter Bowie is awesome by the way! Great video and thanks for sharing! Just subscribed!

Case is still better than Rough Ryder and I have both. The quality issues with rough Ryder are more serious than slight gaps etc. instead you get blades that hit the liners dinging the edge and proud blades. Case might not have all of them straight down the middle with no gaps but they don’t ship unsafe knives. Remember you’re getting the best looking bone covers made on a fine quality knife for a very reasonable price for USA made. Want perfect USA made knives then pay three times as much.

Great points here man!! I have 78 Case knives and all are acceptable for what i paid. Makes me wonder if they will ever use them to do anything constructive. I love a CS Blade and love the Patina so why does a 1/4 mm gap bother anyone?? And if it's dull just sharpen it, easy fix!! Thanks for this response, doomcrew is a great friend of mine, just subbed!!

So I pick up a Sod Buster Jr, and only give it a quick check at the store. I get it home, and notice there are very light scratches all over the blade. The scratch marks go the same direction on each side.
I then notice the brass liners have the same scratch patterns as the blade. Both of them...
My best guess, is that before the bone covers were added. They somehow mashed the liners together on accident too tightly. Then pulled the blade out, while it was like that. Scratching the liners, and the blade in the process.
They fixed it, then boxed that up and sold it. The one they had for a display piece at the store by the way, had zero friction to go along with the folding aspect.
Case does make great knives, I got a couple that have zero flaws I can see. I just question what they are willing to let out of the factory at times.
I don't even care that much about the scratches, but they should, y'know?

I think you're missing the point! Case has been around well over 100 yrs.! And the quality of their knives has been superb! The fit and finish top notch! But in the last few years their quality control has slipped! I've seen vids and talked to people that have had issues with their Case knife! And that is a valid point, even if it's 1/2 of 1%! I personally have not had an issue with any of my purchases from Case! So maybe they need to up their quality control, so they will continue to be a great factory knife producer! That's my take on the issue! I still will buy Case knives as I have for the last 50 yrs.! 🤔👍

I have the Case large stockman and Sowbelly in crimson peach seed and they are nice quality no complaints. Case are more affordable than GEC which are nice, and I own a few Great eastern cutlery knives but I just cannot afford to buy them anymore even if I can get one when they drop on sale. So, I am with the Case knives now I can buy one without the hassle and high price of the GEC knives.

I believe that most of the people putting down Case are ones with boxes full of China copies of Case patterns. GEC Fanboys are another Case hater bunch. Price wise the difference is double for buying GEC because of low knife production numbers. Case makes premium knife short production runs the same as GEC and cost more to own. Their short premium knife runs often out shine GEC and cost less too. No one makes you buy Case knives, so why do these Case haters keep buying them? I want an answer to that question first. ⁉😆😅🤣

Case knives has dropped quality and I understand why some people would be mad it’s a USA product so you expect quality

I just wish Case would put an actual POINT on their traditional folder blades..sometimes they are really rounded over....my only objection for the most part.
