- This video compares Mii voices in Mario Kart Wii and Mario Kart 8. Additionally, the video shows which colors result in which voice in both Wii and 8.
This video compares each voices' one dash sound, one damage sound (either being hit by shell or spin damage), one random sound (a stunt, overtake, or item success), and one victory sound (except in small female voice 4, where I use good place sound).

Only that didn't change a lot is the Lime/Yellow/Light Blue colors in MK8D/MK8. They use the same voice as small Blue/Red/Brown Miis in MKWii

Agreed. On Switch, you either explored the settings or heard from a video about the Mii Maker. I hope when Mii Games start booming more, perhaps Mii Maker icon will come to home screen like Nintendo Switch Online service. Like why on earth introduce new colors and glasses when Miis are not used in games?
Wuhu Island is something many want back. I've seen an idea video where Wuhu Island is a fully explorable open world and that got me hyped indeed...
Now they throw away Wuhu Island in a sports game suggested even as _'a new iteration of the Wii Sports series'_ by themselves. I think something is wrong with them.

Interesting... I'm trying to describe these voices by the sounds they make. Male voice 1 is simple (the "Go go go!" voice). That's how I identified how voices from Wii are reused in 8, albeit in an edited form (Spoilers: Only Miis with red or black favourite color keep their voice type same).

But Tomodachi games are different from Mario Kart. In there, the voices are synthetically generated (that's why you can make them say and sing anything). Another game where you can choose Mii's voice yourselves is Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Miitopia Mii voices depend on their personality or role. And that's it. Those Mario Kart Mii voices can be only changed by changing Mii's favourite color and these are reused the most often in Mario spin-off games, sometimes depending on the color, othertimes depending on the player order.
So, the answer is no.

Indeed. What a change. I agree with you. The fact that in Mario Golf Super Rush (which uses MK8 Mii voices) Mii's voice depends on player order makes it worse. Yes, if player two plays as a male Mii, you'll get to hear this voice.

I have noticed that too. My guess is that because Wii has more linear category system (simply open favorite color choice and count 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4) while 8 (and 7) has more color-based system.

I have both Mario kart 8 feluxe and Mario kart wii. I have always showed more love to mario kart wii, as it has better tracks (in my opinion) and it was way more fun. But when I heard the mario kart wii voices I didn't know what to say. They feel different to Miis themselfs
Looking into Mii voices has made me get a copy of MK Wii too. I agree on the tracks. And I like how chaotic the game is. MK8DX is too fair for me (still thinking on how to make a chaotic tournament...)... Though fortunately, it didn't take me too long to unlock Miis, so I got to playing Miis, switching my licence Mii to play with other Miis and listening to their voices. Though I have now also discovered that the animations of a Mii is not only affected by their gender, but also by their weight class.
I always liked the wii voices, they should bring them back as an option, overall more mii voice customization would be neat for a future mario kart game, like picking your voice instead of relying on colors

Yes... The voice in Mario Kart Tour is a mish-mash of different voices in Wii and 8, heavily edited to sound the same. For example, you can hear "Go go go!" (which is male voice 1) and "Bye bye!" the way female voice number 3 says it.
Yet at the same time in there, there's nothing different between male and female Miis in there: the animations depend on the costume...

It sometimes seems like they became inspired by Mario Kart 7's Mii voices, took the Wii voices and put it through edits to have it sound like that.
While it does depend on person's preferences, I do agree that some are obnoxious. That is why voice 3 is my favourite and voice 2 is my least liked.
Though for now, Wii's Mii voices have been reused in other Mario spin-offs the most often...
