Is there anywhere I can get the faux wood trim for the dashboard/console stripe? I haven't been able to find it anywhere online, as I have a Touring trim and the dashboard stripe is just a solid light gray stripe. i think the black wood look would look a lot better

I love the pedal, I suggest Mazda should always put aluminum pedal in every car on display in any Motor Show like other company is doing, it adds appeal to it.
My CX5 2017 GS - interior has stainless style on the door panels/window switch all four and the Gear shift Panel and all foot pedals in Stainless steel look, it matches much more prime feel. I recommend more

Nice mods Hilton. Looking really well. I wish we could get lighter colour interiors more easily here too, but it's rarely available unless it's something like a Jaguar or Alfa Romeo.
Great cosmetic mod Hilton. Next you should mod oem intake with cold air intake the n/a engine will sound amazing when u accelerate hard even better in sport mode. Add leds interior, exterior led indicators front& rear & add sequential indicators lights (big job but well worth it) looks like luxury suv at night time, lastly add racing beat exhaust n do a video on that. Cheers! My cx5 mod are cold air intake, all leds lights in/out/front/rear indicators & sequential indicators next to fog lights. Will do your cosmetics mod soon. Cheers! P.S you should also mod your infotainment system to mazda aio which u can install to watch movies, youtube, new speed odometer shows fuel trips etc, Android auto ver10.1 shows directions and distance on HUD! Reserve/parking sensor display red/yellow/green distance.

Very classy accents on your CX- 5. My 2019 CX-5 GT Reserve's mods are: ->enameled "2.5 T" emblem I put on the lower right of my rear hatch. It tells those "uppity" Audi 2.0 T SUVs why they just got spanked. ->CORK SPORT Oil Catch Can to catch PCV system blow-by vapor and keep it from baking on the back of the intake valves. (After 5,000 miles I drained 1/3 cup of evil-looking brown liquid condensed crankcase vapors from it! -> two gas hood struts, just like yours and matches the GT Reserve's upscale appearance ->three "CX 5" pedals W/ rubber inserts (like yours but for left hand drive) Very high quality covers/replacements ->K&N drop-in air filter (K&N cone filter makes too much induction noise for any extra HP over the drop-in filter) ->door handle metal surrounds (like yours) ->driver seat control metal covers ->glove box handle metal cover ->four brushed aluminum surrounds for the lower door speakers ->tail pipe extensions (Fringe benefit - keeps the tail pipes looking clean.) ->MAZDA roof racks ->MAZDA rear bumper metal protector trim ->MAZDA "trunk tonneau" security cover ->Dimple brand magnetized oil drain plug (strong rare earth magnet) ->MAZDA "CX-5 lighted front door sill covers and unlighted rear door sill covers. ->Cork Sport turbo downpipe (definitely better throttle response) ->1/3 tank of 100 octane gas ($8.00 per gallon!!) for much better acceleration.) It was very engaging to drive and quite imposing on the road. I'm a fan of the Kodo design. I once had a Cadillac CTS in Crystal Red, and I also called it candy apple red ;)

Thanks for watching. The wood trims are actually aluminium and very robust. They have a high quality feel and look to the point that gas attendees constantly praise me for how luxurious my car looks inside and that they would never have guessed looking at it from outside. I'd love to hear what you think when you've fitted yours.
Like you said to each his own. Thanks for this video. Many of these things *DO* look nice, however I'm not attaching things to my expensive new car with two way tape. I want things to snap or bolt on just like the factory would do it. The idea of purchasing accessories off aliexpress doesn't knock my socks off either as I view that as all cheap junk from China. I'd feel like I was driving some kind of a, I don't know what car, with all the taped on accessories. Like I degraded it some how in quality. I would know how these parts were put on and I'd feel weird about it.
To be honest, many of the parts on this car were made in China - tested by Mazda of course, but still made in China. I was actually surprised by the quality of the chrome strips as they were made of metal and really good quality chrome. I thought they were plastic when I ordered them. And they held up very well to mud, rain and dirt and cleaned up perfectly with every wash. As for those interior covers I installed, they were rubbish. As you said, cheap junk. I wouldn't recommend them as they don't stand up to wear and tear very well. In hindsight, I would rather have wrapped all those items with a good 3M wrap. But hindsight is 20/20 ;)
just bought a 2021 mazda cx5 gt, this videos great for accessory ideas. im questioning if the exterior chrome will hold up to a boston winter, so gonna hold off for now. otherwise bought the interior parts you showed except for some chrome pieces, great taste!
Congratulations on your purchase. Trust me, that particular chrome I fitted will hold up. It's metal and genuine chrome. Top quality product. I thought when I bought it that it was just plastic and was pleasantly surprised. It held up to water, mud, dirt, tar so I'm sure it will hold up with snow 😉
Went the other way lol 2019 white / brown interior I had all the chrome deleted. The emblem and CX5 / Skyactiv badges were blacked out using another method and then I added a skunk works decal/ MACH 3+ decal and HABU SR71 decal to the back window because, well......thats a long story.

Hey Mick. Congratulations on your new ride. You will love that car more than anything you've ever loved. I still miss my XF to the point where I'm considering buying a 2014 or 2015 facelift XF. They are such good cars and way more reliable than the E class or A6 or 5 series. You can laugh at people driving those cars because they have expensive to repair unreliable heaps that will cost them dearly. If you service your XF when it's required, it will just keep going and going. You made a solid choice on the 2011. Well done! 😎
They simply slide over the existing pipes. Easy install. If memory serves, they had a little screw on the under side that tightens them to the original pipes to prevent theft.

Hey Alan - I've bought literally hundreds of stuff on AliExpress and am currently a platinum member. I've had out of almost 1,000 purchases probably 5 that went wrong. But if you file a dispute, AliExpress always rule in your favor and refund you within 24 hours. Shipping can take a while though, so you have to be patient. You can also extend your closing time by requesting the seller to do so which enables you a longer time to file a dispute if the item arrives damaged or doesn't arrive at all. But on the whole, they are better than eBay when it comes to service and sellers will do anything to get a good rating from you. You just have to read each description of the items you are buying to ensure it's really what you think it is and perhaps TH-cam them to see if there are reviews on the items. Some are rubbish, but most are good. I've been a member since 2013 and have bought all my cell phones (Ulefone) on AliExpress and still use only Ulefone today still as an example. They are better than Samsung even. So you can buy with confidence. Hope this helps.

Does the trim panel that covers your gear shifter hang over a bit at the front? I bought the kit but it's longer than the piano black cover and has a bit of an overhang into the empty console area. Wondering if they didn't cut it correctly
Hey Riki - yeah, you just slide em' on. After being on for a few weeks, they won't come off easily as they heat up and cool down with the OEM exhaust. Most people don't even know they're tips ;)
I just got the stainless steel CX-5 exhaust tips last week, and they make my 2019 CX-5 Signature look so sporty. Ans they fit over the existing exhaust perfectly, and they stay on, which was my initial concern.

Yes I did. We moved to a different city at a higher altitude and it just didn't have enough power to keep up with all the highway traffic, so I traded it in for another Jaguar XF.

Is there anywhere I can get the faux wood trim for the dashboard/console stripe? I haven't been able to find it anywhere online, as I have a Touring trim and the dashboard stripe is just a solid light gray stripe. i think the black wood look would look a lot better

My CX5 2017 GS - interior has stainless style on the door panels/window switch all four and the Gear shift Panel and all foot pedals in Stainless steel look, it matches much more prime feel. I recommend more

Great cosmetic mod Hilton. Next you should mod oem intake with cold air intake the n/a engine will sound amazing when u accelerate hard even better in sport mode. Add leds interior, exterior led indicators front& rear & add sequential indicators lights (big job but well worth it) looks like luxury suv at night time, lastly add racing beat exhaust n do a video on that. Cheers! My cx5 mod are cold air intake, all leds lights in/out/front/rear indicators & sequential indicators next to fog lights. Will do your cosmetics mod soon. Cheers! P.S you should also mod your infotainment system to mazda aio which u can install to watch movies, youtube, new speed odometer shows fuel trips etc, Android auto ver10.1 shows directions and distance on HUD! Reserve/parking sensor display red/yellow/green distance.

Very classy accents on your CX- 5. My 2019 CX-5 GT Reserve's mods are:
->enameled "2.5 T" emblem I put on the lower right of my rear hatch. It tells those "uppity" Audi 2.0 T SUVs why they just got spanked.
->CORK SPORT Oil Catch Can to catch PCV system blow-by vapor and keep it from baking on the back of the intake valves. (After 5,000 miles I drained 1/3 cup of evil-looking brown liquid condensed crankcase vapors from it!
-> two gas hood struts, just like yours and matches the GT Reserve's upscale appearance
->three "CX 5" pedals W/ rubber inserts (like yours but for left hand drive) Very high quality covers/replacements
->K&N drop-in air filter (K&N cone filter makes too much induction noise for any extra HP over the drop-in filter)
->door handle metal surrounds (like yours)
->driver seat control metal covers
->glove box handle metal cover
->four brushed aluminum surrounds for the lower door speakers

All these mods you have shown are Chinese from Ali Express and to my mind are very good quality, in keeping with the quality of the SUV. My CX-5 GT Reserve 2.5 L. turbo, AWD is "Soul Crystal Red" and is gorgeous. I call it "Candy Apple Red" after the same color American hot rodders use for custom paint jobs.

It was very engaging to drive and quite imposing on the road. I'm a fan of the Kodo design. I once had a Cadillac CTS in Crystal Red, and I also called it candy apple red ;)

They have a high quality feel and look to the point that gas attendees constantly praise me for how luxurious my car looks inside and that they would never have guessed looking at it from outside. Like you said to each his own. Thanks for this video. Many of these things *DO* look nice, however I'm not attaching things to my expensive new car with two way tape. I want things to snap or bolt on just like the factory would do it. The idea of purchasing accessories off aliexpress doesn't knock my socks off either as I view that as all cheap junk from China. I'd feel like I was driving some kind of a, I don't know what car, with all the taped on accessories. Like I degraded it some how in quality. I would know how these parts were put on and I'd feel weird about it.
To be honest, many of the parts on this car were made in China - tested by Mazda of course, but still made in China. I was actually surprised by the quality of the chrome strips as they were made of metal and really good quality chrome. I thought they were plastic when I ordered them. And they held up very well to mud, rain and dirt and cleaned up perfectly with every wash. As for those interior covers I installed, they were rubbish. As you said, cheap junk. I wouldn't recommend them as they don't stand up to wear and tear very well. In hindsight, I would rather have wrapped all those items with a good 3M wrap. But hindsight is 20/20 ;)
just bought a 2021 mazda cx5 gt, this videos great for accessory ideas. im questioning if the exterior chrome will hold up to a boston winter, so gonna hold off for now.

Congratulations on your purchase. Trust me, that particular chrome I fitted will hold up. It's metal and genuine chrome. Top quality product. I thought when I bought it that it was just plastic and was pleasantly surprised. It held up to water, mud, dirt, tar so I'm sure it will hold up with snow 😉

I had all the chrome deleted. The emblem and CX5 / Skyactiv badges were blacked out using another method and then I added a skunk works decal/ MACH 3+ decal and HABU SR71 decal to the back window because, well......thats a long story.

Hey Mick. Congratulations on your new ride. You will love that car more than anything you've ever loved. I still miss my XF to the point where I'm considering buying a 2014 or 2015 facelift XF. They are such good cars and way more reliable than the E class or A6 or 5 series. You can laugh at people driving those cars because they have expensive to repair unreliable heaps that will cost them dearly. If you service your XF when it's required, it will just keep going and going. You made a solid choice on the 2011. Well done! 😎

They simply slide over the existing pipes. Easy install. If memory serves, they had a little screw on the under side that tightens them to the original pipes to prevent theft.

Hey Alan - I've bought literally hundreds of stuff on AliExpress and am currently a platinum member. I've had out of almost 1,000 purchases probably 5 that went wrong. But if you file a dispute, AliExpress always rule in your favor and refund you within 24 hours. Shipping can take a while though, so you have to be patient. You can also extend your closing time by requesting the seller to do so which enables you a longer time to file a dispute if the item arrives damaged or doesn't arrive at all. But on the whole, they are better than eBay when it comes to service and sellers will do anything to get a good rating from you. You just have to read each description of the items you are buying to ensure it's really what you think it is and perhaps TH-cam them to see if there are reviews on the items. Some are rubbish, but most are good. I've been a member since 2013 and have bought all my cell phones (Ulefone) on AliExpress and still use only Ulefone today still as an example. They are better than Samsung even. So you can buy with confidence. Hope this helps.

Does the trim panel that covers your gear shifter hang over a bit at the front? I bought the kit but it's longer than the piano black cover and has a bit of an overhang into the empty console area. Wondering if they didn't cut it correctly

Hey Riki - yeah, you just slide em' on. After being on for a few weeks, they won't come off easily as they heat up and cool down with the OEM exhaust. Most people don't even know they're tips ;)

Yes I did. We moved to a different city at a higher altitude and it just didn't have enough power to keep up with all the highway traffic, so I traded it in for another Jaguar XF.
