The character of Ripley was written to be a man, but Sigourney Weaver insisted on auditioning for the part and turned out to be the perfect person for the role. Her casting in this film marked a major turning point for women being seen as strong heroes. 😊🙏🏼
Really? I did not know that Ripley was written as a man originally. Can you tell me the source of this info? Intrigueing. Female action heroes in modern films are often caricatures compared to how well this character was written and portrayed.

This movie was such a treat when it first aired on tv in the US nationally, in primetime, in the early to midish 80s. Probably on a friday night. Can't remember. But I definitely remember watching it while in high school.
So many great quotes by these men. Sometimes I laugh, other times I nod in agreement, it's special watching them see these amazing films for the first time.
As a major Aliens fan, i can tell you the stages of the alien. First stage from the egg: thats called the face hugger. Its lays an embryo inside the host. Second stage: thats called the chest burster when it comes out of the man. The third and final stage: thats the full grown alien. From the chest burster stage to the alien stage happens very quickly, it can become full grown less than 24 hours. My cat is also named after the cat in this movie, since its the only survivor in the whole franchise 😅
So a fun fact about the movie. In the scene where the xenomorph comes out of Kanes chest the reactions of the cast were real. Only Kane and the film crew knew what would happen, they didn't tell the other actors. they though he was choking for real and tried to help and then the horror and surprise of it bursting out of his chest was real surprise and shock. Sometimes real reactions are the best acting.
I wonder if they would like "Spaceballs." Some of the jokes might not translate well, but now that they've seen this and the Star Wars movies, they'll be able to get most of the references.
The cool part of the alirn popping out of the actors chest was that the director didn't tell the others what was going to happen. So when the puppet exploded out of him. The others reaction of fear and surprise was real
A fun fact, the scene where the alien burst's out of the mans body......none of the other actors knew this was going to happen when they filmed it, it was kept secret so they could film the real shock and horror when they saw the chestburster explode, they were terrified in real life.
The best part about this movie is the scene where it burst from his chest. Nobody told the actors what was gonna happen in it, they told em to just "stand around this table here's some lines" and action. So they're reactions are genuine

5:46 The crew explore the alien's nest, and that's enough to upset Raeen. Considering what's coming next I'm seriously worried for these people today. 😆
6:47 As I was saying...🤣
8:28 The facehugger is bleeding acid. Everybody: 😱😱😱
10:40 Jump-scare for Ripley, permanent heart condition for Babu, Aman and Raeen. 💔🏥
11:44 Kane starts convulsing. Raeen: "Is he vomiting and having diarrhoea?". I mean, he had an alien stuck on his face, not a meal at Taco Bell, Raeen. 😆
12:22 Kane experiences the ultimate heartburn. Babu reconsiders all his life choices.
14:46 Wisely, Jones hides and stays put. But not for lack of Raeen's attempts to lure him out. 😸
15:26 Raeen: "This movie is like a horror movie". It's in my personal top ten of Horror movies, in fact. Just so you know.
17:02 Aman: "Of the three of us, I'm the bravest". Aman, literally twelve seconds later: Horrified Pikachu Face.
18:15 Ash is sweating android's fluid. Raeen turns temporarily into an owl. 🦉
19:01 Ash freaks out. Babu's brain goes in buffering mode. ⏳Aman: 👀
21:28 I can confidently say that I've officially learned to say OMG in Hindi.
23:20 Raeen: "I think everyone will die only the cat will survive". Close enough. 😆 Plus, Aman the Sleepless.
24:02 A well deserved round of applause for Ripley. 👏👏👏
24:40 Raeen comments on Ripley's appearance and gets roasted extra crispy into oblivion. 😆
25:14 Alien is on board. Everybody: *PANIC*
25:53 Ripley yeets Alien out. Everybody: 👏👏👏
27:50 The big debate about whether Alien looks like a roasted chicken or not. I'm not making this up. 😂
29:52 Alien has permanently altered Aman's and Babu's eating habits.
30:43 Today is not Raeen's day, is it? The poor man. 🤣
31:32 This was the scariest movie Babu has ever watched. And he has already watched The Exorcist.
33:39 Babu sings for us the theme song of "Jaani Dushman". As a horror buff I'm compelled to watch that film now.
You're amazing, thank you lol!
@@b00jen81 At your service. 😆
Thank you, I had fun rewatching the highlights today after watching the whole video last week. You’d make an excellent commentator!
@@ragad3 Thanks, I'm glad you liked reading my insanities. 😆
I did the unthinkable and read the comments before watching the video. However, reading this makes me want to watch the video even more rather than it spoiling it for me! Thanks! Your comments were really very clever! 😆👍
Please consider showing everyone Spirited Away from Studio Ghibli. It’s a very heartwarming movie!
I would like them to see Spirited Away too, & Akira... & Nausicaa Valley Of The Wind would be cool too
@@starwave8228 Akira’s ending gave me body horror nightmares. That’ll be with me forever lmao
Babu is not happy that Raeen compared the alien to roasted chicken!! lol
Babu thinks that Aman deserves a cigarette for his intelligence today
Raeen thinks the movie deserved a better ending where Ripley returned to earth and got some justice for the betrayal that occurred.
Please make sure Raeen is present when they watch the second part to this movie so he can know what happens next!
They will surely hate the betrayal that occurs at the hands of Paul Reisers' Burke character in the second one, can't wait to see them watch that...
10:31 "more dangerous than a civet" ... this is true
12:50 - He’s starting to get the “this guy’s gonna get killed” intuition we all attain after seeing multiple horror and adventure films. Welcome to the club, buddy! lol
I can't believe raenn wanted the movie to be longer 😂 dude was invested
That is why Aliens will be so fun for them to watch. 😁
The chest burster scene was probably the funniest reaction I've seen them do 🤣 That moment is inked into every movie fans brain afterwards 😆
I love Babu Bhai. He's trying to comfort both guys despite freaking out. Reminds me of my papa ❤
I like how they appreciated Ripley's brilliance, especially the old guy
"How did the machine come to another planet? I also woundering how the machine came here"... 4:13 min
We have all wondered about this mystery for decades. Then Prometheus destroyed the mystery...
These were the best reactions I have seen by far. Reactions were priceless. This movie is a masterpiece.
"No one can pee that long" *dead serious* LMFAO
Raeen is absolutely right: This movie is a milestone, and probably still among the top 10 horror movies of all times. Looking forward for the reaction to Aliens!
Wouldn't even mind a react to Alien 3 and Alien: Resurrection - I for my part enjoyed them :D
Even Alien vs Predator, although the movie was a perfect counterexample of the "show, don't tell" principle.
But they have already seen Predator, so a react to that kind of crossover could be interesting.
Ash is a robot assigned by the company to assist the crew and act as doctor and science officer. Company gave secret orders to capture the alien and bring it back even if crew has to die. Company wants to use alien as a weapon.
The roasted chicken fight was hilarious.
Interesting to see how there's a bit more "roasting" going on amongst the guys when these 3 are together! 😂
Wonderful reaction as always. The commentary is glorious.
I think what I like about the character is that femininity was shown but not overplayed. Female action heroes in modern films are often caricatures compared to how well this character was written and portrayed.
@@dylanmeyer6614 It's not actually true. All the characters were written as gender-neutral in the script so men or women could be easily cast for whatever role.
good choice of movie! awesome to see that the love of Ripley is universal!
It feels like I'm watching these movies for the first time with these gentlemen, your lineup is getting really awesome
Love when the old guy says what's your experience in this, other guy moonlights as an alien fighter! LOL these videos get better and better, and their reactions are perfect.
" In space no one can hear you scream" is the famous phrase that was used to promote this movie 😎 Aliens ( part 2 ) is more action but still has scary moments 😲 I am looking forward to see them watch the adventure 😁
There was a poster for Aliens that said "The bithc is back"
They seem more shocked and awed than scared at the movie, even though there is plenty o scared in there too. I remember this same slightly angry/slightly scared feeling when I saw thsi in theatres.
The expression on that old mans face, totally invested in the film, brilliant.
When these fine folks get to watch ‘Aliens’, please show them the extended edition 🙏
Yes! The sentry guns....
I LOVE Alien, the first is my favorite by far. It is visually beautiful, great scenario, great creature by HG Giger, Sigourney Weaver is charismatic in that intelligent and strong character ; a perfect movie, still 40 years later. Edit : if only Ripley could have reached the Earth, Raeen ! But her journey was far from finished !^^
Good pick up by Raeen about reaching Earth (or where everyone lives) - basically the start of part 2
@@adrianhempfing2042 She never reached Earth. She was only in orbit and in part 3 she dies.
I know Alien4 is not everyone's favorite but, she finally lands on Earth at the end.
Cannon or not cannon and cloned, she manages to get there.
@@ElmismisimoPurpura I know Alien 4, but it will only be a copy of her. She dies in Alien 3.
The roast chicken argument! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Alien is a great movie to watch, since Halloween is just around the corner.
Halloween will put the creeps up them
For some reason the original Chucky would be hilarious to see them react to, as a kid that doll would chase me in nightmares.
12:40 You capture the essence of the film right away. They should have listened to Ripley, and now because they didn’t, they’ll surely die. Spot On 💯 🏆
This movie was such a treat when it first aired on tv in the US nationally, in primetime, in the early to midish 80s. Probably on a friday night. Can't remember. But I definitely remember watching it while in high school.
Wish you'd seen it in a theatre. Everyone around you terrified, just like you.
So many great quotes by these men. Sometimes I laugh, other times I nod in agreement, it's special watching them see these amazing films for the first time.
Almost as fun to watch these three wholesome lads as it is to watch the actual film.
Having a nice overnight stay in Solvang CA and enjoying your reaction in our hotel ❤ What a great treat. 😊
Oh God that was SO pleasurable to watch. They are delightful.
"Make him smell a shoe." I have never laughed so hard watching Alien before. It has always been a scary movie to me.
I wonder if they would like "Spaceballs." Some of the jokes might not translate well, but now that they've seen this and the Star Wars movies, they'll be able to get most of the references.
Of course, they'd have to also see "Planet of the Apes" first.
please show them "The Thing" (1982). They really haven't any idea of the scariest form of alien imo.
I did not expect them to sing after watching a horror movie, this is why I love watching these guys
Babu has a song for every occasion.
Yes he must know hundreds of songs
LOl............. ''Have you ever seen roasted Alien...?'' ........Fantastic!
Awesome Movie and Work Guys, Thanks 👍👍👍 Greetings from Helsinki, Finland 🇫🇮
The cool part of the alirn popping out of the actors chest was that the director didn't tell the others what was going to happen. So when the puppet exploded out of him. The others reaction of fear and surprise was real
In space, no one can hear you scream but on Earth the screams will be heard loud & clear.
A fun fact, the scene where the alien burst's out of the mans body......none of the other actors knew this was going to happen when they filmed it, it was kept secret so they could film the real shock and horror when they saw the chestburster explode, they were terrified in real life.
Babu is the best. Love these reactions. I would love to see them react to John Carpenters "The Thing".
The best part about this movie is the scene where it burst from his chest. Nobody told the actors what was gonna happen in it, they told em to just "stand around this table here's some lines" and action. So they're reactions are genuine
"well then Apparently these people are very educated..." 😂😂😂clearly
Your quite correct to be careful of the acid. Who wants to be blown into space through an opening the size of a grapefruit?
I love they agree with the best summary of alien. No one listens to the smart lady and everyone dies except the smart lady and her cat
"Make him smell a shoe or an onion" ... o.O as an epilepy ... treatment... I'm confusion.
I actually lol'd when the dude said he saw an alien movie called ET. Yeah, he's in for a great time.
"Did you see her reach earth, did you see that with your eyes?" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I’ve never seen such a dirty Alien 👽 in my life. Wise words from Babu as usual. You must show them the predator v Alien this is a very scary movie in the pyramid ! As they all enjoyed Predator
Classic milestone Sci-Fi brilliant❤❤Thankyou , they understood the plot very easily, one of the best REACT.2.0 👍👍
You have to show them the sequel. And pretty soon too so they remember all the details.
The sequel 'Aliens' is is my ALL TIME favorite movie.
