Dimash said that he doesn’t consider himself to be the best voice or the best singer in the interviews. He acknowledges that everything is subjective AND transient. The only thing that is important to him is being a good human being.

If true, it makes all that much more sad that his die hard fans just keep wanting to fight people that say anything at all that isn't worshipping him. Dimash knows he isn't perfect, can't do everything perfectly, has to learn, seems to have that awareness, and his fandom reflects the exact opposite.

I wasn't going to comment initially, but I remembered something that Throga Vocal Gym said in their livestream yesterday when someone commented that Dimash is overrated. No matter what your taste in music, Dimash's talent and skill are undeniable, both in vocals and composition.
Dimash is a maverick of the music industry. He defies genres and supposed vocal limits, he's always in search of new sounds, new techniques and new ways to bring music to the world and people together.
You've barely scratched the surface of Dimash's ability, he never stops bringing something fresh and new to the table. It's what makes him Dimash, he can't be tied down and everything he does is to serve the song, not to show off his ability, although most people will direct you to the showstopper songs, there is even more quiet beauty to be found in songs like Amanat, Qairan Elim and Qaragym Ai. Messages of hope and forcing ourselves to face the big questions in War and Peace, Omir, The Story of One Sky, We Are One, Omir Oter and Together. Then there are songs that are pure for fun like Zhalyn, Fly Away, Be With Me and Give Me Your Love.
Bear in mind that he's still only 29, an independent artist who is fighting the greed of the music industry every step of the way and that it's not just Dears who are calling him the best in the world. Recognised Artists and musicians around the world, regardless of nationality, have acknowledged that Dimash may be the greatest in living history. Although you may have not heard of him before he's well known by some of the biggest hitters in the music business and if he were willing to be tied down to a record label he would be known by everyone around the world. But he's not interested in money or world renown, he just wants to make his music and it's music that will still be relevant in decades to come, not forgotten when the next fad comes along.

Dimash music is not my cup of tea but he is the best vocalist I’ve ever heard by a mile…
I have never heard someone who can do both the male and female parts of an opera and then belt like a rock God when he feels like it…
I’m an 80’s teenager so my favourite bands were Tears for Fears and Depeche Mode then Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots and Sound Garden in the 90’s…Not exactly Dimash type music!!! I’m in my 50’s now and Dimash is the only singer who has ever given me the shivers and goosebumps.
We are lucky to be living in a time when he’s on the planet!!!

It's hard to separate one's favorite vocal artist from the "best" artist of our time; there's no way you could be expected to understand Dimash and the emotional --even healing and life-changing--effect he has had on people around the world after one song,( though
many have!) but for now , it is impossible come up with any other singer whose "objective"vocal skills exceed his. Let's leave it at that for now and hope you will want to keep discovering him!. Of course not everyone who hears Dimash gets chills, goosebumps and tears-- that's part of the mystery of how music affects individuals, right? Thank you for devoting your time to discovering Dimash and I hope you will continue. ❤

You are so right that all art is subjective. My husband raves that Michangelo’s “David” is the apex of art. I appreciate that the statue is moving, but when I walked into the museum chamber and faced Rodin’s “The Thinker”, I stood and wept for half an hour. Subjective. I’m 77 now, growing up through Willie Nelson, Elvis, The Beatles, The Everly Brothers, Michael Jackson, Pavarotti, Madonna and hundreds of others. I have eclectic taste, truly enjoying music. But I never called myself a “fan” of any one performer.
I’m also a lover of Science, Science Fiction/Fantasy, Austen and other English authors, Dostoevesky, and so many, many authors. That incl udes Heinlein’s “Stranger in a Strange Land”. When I heard Dimash sing “Stranger”, I could SEE Heinlein’s protagonist Michael Smith making his angst felt in music. I was entranced at the skill, emotion, the sound made alive. For the first time, I became a fan for the first time, a Dear. As I delved into his music, the pervasive symbolism, the blend of genres, his own compositions, his humanity, his variety…I could go on endlessly, my enjoyment grew.
When you get around to it, react to “The Pearl Fishers’ Duet” with Placido Domingo, then jump 180 degrees to “When I Got You”, or cry watching his own composition and production, “The Story of One Sky”.
I hope you enjoy the effect reacting to Dimash has on your channel. I’ve been amused at how often the Dears click the Subscribe and Like buttons just to see new people get “Dimashed”.
Now I’m going to go listen to one of your stories.

Thank you for a good reflection on the humanness of Dimash. He has said in may interviews that he does not want people to put him on a pedestal. He just tries to live his values, to share his music to the pleasure of his Dears. He has some videos prepared by Dears that show the philosophical underpinning of this man. He seeks to be honorable and not be a "star" - honoring his parents and his spiritual beliefs and culture before all things.

That's very reassuring to hear. I like to believe that most people genuinely put in great effort to try to live up to their own expectations of themselves, their values, principles, etc. To know that Dimash, who by this point has gained global fame, great honor to his name, and complete financial security for himself and his loved ones, can still show restraint, humility, humbleness, and kindness, really speaks right to my core as a human being and admirer of music. I'm excited to research more into him and keep listening to his captivating music!

@@goodeveningstoriesDear, I really understand you, because for me Dimash is more important as a noble person, because with his phenomenal voice he attracts people's attention, but then his human actions follow when he shows and cultivates universal values, such as love for family, yes, Dimash is very lucky - he was born into a wonderful loving family but Dimash is so open in his love for his old grandparents, for his beautiful talented parents, for his beautiful sister, for his younger brother, why am I writing to you about this, because Dimash infected us, Dear ones, with his love for his native people; Dimash is not afraid to show feelings of love and respect for people, animals, and nature, at first in China, many local stars were shocked by Dimash's simplicity in communicating with all the people around him: he opened the door to elders, stood up and gave way to people with disabilities, hugged and picked up other people's children, kissed them on small foreheads, there is no oriental mentality tactile contact is only a bow, but Dimash, when meeting friends at a competition in China, hugged everyone, rejoicing like a big fluffy puppy, and many stars fell in love with him as a son, and Jackie Chan invited Dimash to his studio and still feels paternal feelings for Dimash. Agree, it is difficult to deceive a person like Jackie Chan in the sincerity of feelings. Adult people are world-class stars who have learned everything on this Earth, like Placido Domingo, Walter Affanasyev, David Foster, Ralph Simon, Igor Krutoy, having met Dimash personally, fell in love with him like a son, because Dimash's love for his native people is projected to the whole world!

The thing about Dimash is that he DOES check off almost all the boxes----at least more of them than any other singer I have ever known. I think that is why so many refer to him as the best ever. It doesn't help to dissuade them when they hear vocal coach after vocal coach claim the same thing. Of course, you have hardly yet to experience all that Dimash brings to the table so I suspect your take on his talent might be a bit different once you have a hundred or so performances under your belt. I'm not claiming that I think Dimash is the best of our time, or the best ever, only that he is the most talented singer I have experienced in my long, music obsessed life.

I agree with you that music is totally subjective. I think in terms of overall skill and ability Dimash holds more in his bag than any other artist I have ever experienced in my life but Dimash will be THE FIRST to brush off the title of "best". He praises his teachers who have helped him gain and cultivate the many skills he possesses and he will praise other vocalists as far superior to him. And of course there are hundreds of thousands of people around the planet with a plethora of talents that maybe no one outside their little area has heard yet! Dimash admits that there is a degree of natural ability to what he can do but he will also tell you that it's taken a lifetime of hard work and constant training and experimenting and working to get to where he is and to keep growing. Even earlier this year he shocked me with a song I have heard many times, "Stranger" when he managed to take the second verse even lower than he previously had and it was clear that he had been working on that skill and it showed!
Dimash isn't perfect, but I do have to say I think you would be hard pressed to find an artist who not only can do everything that he does musically at the same or a better level than he does AND is a genuinely good, humble person.

I've had the privilege of seeing him live in concert twice, and next month I'll be attending a new concert in Budapest. I can assure you that he sounds just as amazing live, and it's a unique experience, one that you just want to repeat. Like a painting in a gallery where we notice a different detail every time we see it, I can feel a different emotion and discover a new detail with the same song every time I listen to it. And I couldn't miss mentioning his personality: an excellent human being, charismatic, humble, and with strong moral values.

Might i suggest you listen to The Story of One Sky live performance from the Almaty concert. Some of the reasons people say Dimash is the best are his range, precise control throughout his range, exceptional breath support, the emotions he coneys through his music to all nations, cultures, religions, and vocal styles. He is not tied down to "neoclassical " but has a wide range of genres (See his duet with Pavaratti and then his newest song When I Have You". Hope you find your way to appreciate Dimash for what and who he is, which is heads and shoulders above any other singer walking the earth in this generation, maybe many generations. He can do it all, plain and simple. Thank you.

That trill he does is I believe called ‘bleating’ and it’s a tribal thing. In this case, he is indeed singing it to someone (Very perceptive of you!). It is a funeral dirge for the late lead singer of this 70’s band “A Studio” accompanying him. Note how he throws in the sign of the cross as a sort of blessing/send-off which also means man relating to fellow man (horizontal), and man’s relation to God/Source/ Universe (vertical). So very well thought out. You’ll notice at the start of every performance he gets into character. He’s amazing to watch.

Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than twelve(12) languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices , Dimash has his own style and is one of the forerunners of the "POPera" he also has a very pleasant, HUMBLE and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, It has a very wide vocal range of approximately 7 octaves ,he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, TENOR , Soprano, counter TENOR, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, Staccato, whistle tone, reaching a( D8 )live "Outside of Piano"at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 191 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from USA 🇺🇸 "Dears" Forever ❤️ Sorry for copying and pasting my informative comment in ALL the Video reactions to Dimash what I see but I do it with the intention of sharing information about him and what I think that in the music industry there are many artists who have been successful and have no talent and are bad people and they do not set a good example for the youth, Dimash and his music deserve to triumph in America, Europe and the whole WORLD, do you want to have already read my comment please come by without problem there is always someone who for the first time knows this information and I won't get tired of sharing it with all my friends"Dear" around the world, thanks for reading and for supporting Dimash 🙏🏻S.O.S.

My thoughts on your introduction and reaction, as requested 😉: Yes, I TOTALLY agree. From your point of view. 😊. I attended 2 concerts of Dimash (have tickets for 2 more concerts in Budapest and Istanbul in my pockets) and from that experience I state from the bottom of my heart: Dimash live on stage changed my life. Never before did I experience music penetrating my body, heart and my very soul. I couldn't help crying for the beauty of his unique voice, certain compositions and his aura got unbearably beautiful. Complete overstimulation of my senses. He has this gift to touch people emotionally deeeeeep inside. So, as you seem to be a very sensitive person, I can only advise you to experience Dimash live on stage. You will never regret, I am absolutely sure. Yes, I am a classic rock, and some 80’s and 90’s fan, but Dimash opened up my mind to a whole new journey of music I would have never listened to, unless it was Meat Loaf 😂.
I have actually looked up operas to watch because of Dimash, and Dimash to me is the best technical singer that I personally have heard, I still love my rock music, but I am always surprised by Dimash, he continues to hone his craft and he learns or presents new things and surprises us, taking at least me, in a journey, or adventure.
I knew a bit of music a little vocal, and piano lessons, pianist for church choir, and vocals in choir, enough of music and vocals to know that Dimash is unique.
I’m not dissing other singers at all.
Yes whatever emotions that passionate singers stir in you, can make even an untrained singer the best for the time and need when you listen.😊

The reason people say he is the best is because music scholars have said a voice like Dimash comes around only once every thousand years or so, given they are experts of musical history I think that carries a good amount of weight. If you analyze all the parameters of what it is to be a top vocalist Dimash excels in every one of those areas. I agree he might not be everyones flavor, but getting into the technical aspects who can do what he does let alone beat him. At 55 I have always had a diverse taste in music, I can't think of anyone that measures to his skill set. I can agree to disagree with you.

    • @NoUsernamae

Then those scholars are not scholars at all. A voice that comes in a thousand years is an absurdity.
Having said that, i agree with you, I think he's the most versatile and possibly the most adept at the most techniques, but that's all practice and time, that he has given since he has literally been singing for 24 years of his 29 year old life. But other than versatility, there's quite a few other artists that have insane control and could likely learn many other techniques if they wanted to, they just don't feel the need to learn them or aren't interested in expanding their toolbox like Dimash has. But I still find it difficult to say how good he can really be consistently because some of his most iconic performances, including this one (and i know you're most likely gonna hate this), is lipsynced.

I love Dimash and his music. He is definitely one of the world's most unique artists, along with so many more. As long as he continues to do him, I will listen. There are too many unique artistic styles, vocals, and genres in this world and in the history of music to claim that just one person is the overall best. The future has still yet to come, and who knows when the next artist will rise to the spotlight. Let's just enjoy the now and hope for more wonder to arise in our lifetime. 😊

Usually i'm not into long reaction videos but i love your knowledge and passion.
Can't wait for more reactions to other Dimash's songs: Ave Maria, Your Love, Olimpico, Au fond du Temple Saint, etc.

When someone reviews Dimash I stop and listen! Thank you! My opinion is that he is the best ever, and there will never be anyone as good as Dimash. So many aspects as you are discussing, makes him for me to be the BEST. I listen to him everyday since I discovered him 2 1/2 years ago.

Thanks for your excellent analysis on Sinful Passion.🎵 With that chant, Dimash wanted to honor the original singer, who died and was part of the Band A-Studio, he was singing with. 🎶🎶🎶He is a great singer and performer. We wish you, to continue walking through Dimash's path.🎵🎵🎵 He never cease to amaze us, with every song. 🎶🎶🎶 You are a truly Dear. We are all in love with Dimash.💖💖💖 Greetings from Puerto Rico. 👋🇵🇷

Nothing Wong with knowing there may be an artist that has showed up who may be ready to take on the world stage. Give Dimash a chance!

Thank you! I'm a bit addicted to Dimash reactions, and it's refreshing to see you contributing something new to the conversation.
Ikanaide and Stranger are perhaps a couple of the obvious pieces to suggest you react to next/soon -- they are perhaps my favorites -- but you can't really go wrong with Dimash.
I like your style of first taking an uninterrupted listen through (with some quick, overlaid comments), and then taking a second pass for the analysis. I do wonder, however, if sooner or later the copyright police will take exception to the inclusion of that first pass that includes the complete, almost unaltered performance.

Oh, the videos are copyright. I'm not allowed to monetize these videos at all. At some point in the future, this might be forced to change to a Patreon reaction with only the analysis on TH-cam. But until then, I'll keep posting what I can and keep everyone informed of any updates
