- I needed to get this off my chest I think so I can push forward and carry on making things. But hopefully it might also be helpful to someone else watching too.
Everybody's got their problems, mine just so happens to be self sabotage. But I'm a big believer that we need to acknowledge weaknesses in order to overcome them, so that's what this video is.
I talk about why we self sabotage and how I deal with it in my case.

Excited to see the marathon video and I'm glad you are still working the videos. I have trouble with this sort of stuff as well. I paused my channel last fall until this spring and I really wish I hadn't, but I'm enjoying doing videos again.

Really great video, thank you for making this video. It could not have been an easy topic to be open about. Though I am not glad that you are going through it. I am glad to hear that there are people out there that understand me. I am not sure where home is for you but based on your accent I assume that you are in the Europe somewhere. It is interesting that we can end up similar places half a world away. Just stumbled on your channel and I cant wait to watch more. I have been facing very similar things with my life and my channel and I am in the middle of pushing myself to do better as well. Best of luck to you. I think we all go through similar stuff when it comes to creativity and now and then I think it's good to air it so that other people in the same situation can hear it - so I'm glad it helped. Tom I absolutely relate to you. I semi recently uploaded a video that hit around 20k views, instead of trying to be consistent I got held up on making the next "best possible video" and I ended up spending way to long remaking the same video until I lost all momentum that video gave me. Self sabotage is just a super annoying thing and its nice to know its not just me! Good luck and remember not to procrastinate all the way up until may 25th!
Thanks man, glad it was relatable! As soon as something goes right it just feels like pressure doesn't it sometimes... I'll try not to leave it until the day before haha, that would be the sort of thing I'd do!

Every looked into wether you have ADD or ADHD? I'm not a professional but procrastination is an element of these. People with ADD/ADHD tend to work well under the pressure of having a time scale to meet and will hyper focus on the task until it's done 👍 look forward to the marathon video 😀
Could be the case, I do struggle to maintain concentration so possibly... Never looked into it though
@@tomrenegadefilms I'm on the pathway to a diagnosis but the wait is 4/5 years after Initial Dr consultation 🤣 not that I think it will change much for me at 37 just hopefully help me understand why I am the way in certain situations and better understand my kids if they ever show signs 👍 I actually think I is a positive and if it manage to harness it I could make some very good TH-cam content but I keep putting it off 🤦♂️
