    Tried out the WoW eSIM on my last trip and it was super smooth, very easy to set up with QR code and price is so much cheaper comparing with Airalo or other providers.

    Hi Ben
    Would this eSIM work in Malaysia as well.
    Going there along with Thailand.
    Great video by the way, clearest I’ve found explaining eSIM setup.

      You may need to buy a multi destination / separate e-sim for Malaysia 👍🏻

      You’re probably right.
      Only was asking as the thumbnail said Thailand and SE Asia.
      Will have to look into it.
      Cheers

    Benjamin how do you cancel your AIS e-sim when you leave Thailand ?

    • @Bates_Tube
      @Bates_Tube  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Simply delete the ESIM from your settings app

    Do you know if it is possible for me to scan the QR and the eSim here in the UK, but don't make it my primary for now, but once I land in Thailand, then make it my primary, I've heard people adding their eSim before travel, it just doesn't work until you land. But in this case it says do it once you land, will it make a difference?

      I’m guessing it’s possible mate. But just do it in your final destination to be safe. Like I say in the vid. Bangkok airport has free WiFi 🙏🏼

Ill be back end of month, to let you know how it went mate, thanks once again.

      Hi mate, nothing is needed. It’s just a one click connection! I can’t remember the name but it was pretty obvious like “Suvarnabhumi Airport free WiFi”
      Enjoy your trip!!

    I’m gonna be in SE Asia for 2 wks…I’ll be in Bangkok for 2 days. Then will leave (will also purchase a phillipines esim) to the phillipines for 5 days then come back to Bangkok for the remainder days than fly back to the U.S…..Will I still be able to reuse the original Thailand SIM card from AIS I bought or would I have to purchase another one (considering I left the country for a wk). I normallly use Airalo but that can get really expensive. Thanks

      If you have an iPhone you can switch between your esims. Make sure to label them as each country or you may get mixed up 👍🏻

      @@Bates_Tube yea I have the 15 pro. Back in Jan I was in Thailand and S korea. Bought the Airalo Asia regional 10Gb plan and had to top another 10Gb plan after the 4th day. When I got to Cambodia I just powered my 15 pro off and went with the old school local SIM card on my IPhone 13 Pro to save $$. Thanks for the info!

    Dose it change your number or will it be a Thai sim?
    Thanks

      You will have both on your phone and you can select which to use. For example set the Thai SIM for mobile data

      I assume it will only work for the country you purchase. To be safe activate it in that that region

    I'm confused on the whole SIM thing. I have my regular US number. if I go to Thailand and get an esim will my regular US number work ? If I log onto my bank they text me a code ( to my US number of course ) which I have to enter to log in. Do I turn off roaming so my normal sim is not getting roaming charges and only turn it back on when I'm about to receive a text from my bank ? How does the phone "know" which sim to use ? I would appreciate if someone could explain how they do it when they travel overseas.

    • @PatOG99

      Sim typically changes the number. I usually get a shitty old gen phone when I go to Thailand and just have them jam a SIM card in at the airport.

    • @tf628
      @tf628 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@PatOG99 Thanks for your reply. I actually just bought a dual sim phone. So my US number will still work and I will get a local Thai number too right ?
