"You won't miss the V8" This is just a media campaign to gas light consumers. The V8 is Ram. They could have made it even better, but no, a twin turbo pos that will have growing pains. Thanks Stellantis.
Yes should’ve stuck with the hemi. I bought one of these in October. Sst the fn thing loves gas. It can’t get enough I’m going to trade it back for a 2024
The base price for the 2025 Dodge Rebel here in Ontario Canada is $90,672 after taxes, but I added a few options, and now the total price with taxes is $113,394. It's a lot of money especially if you're thinking of taking it off-road.
A majority of people will miss the V8. A V8 Should be standard on a truck and make a V6 and OPTION. Stellantis has forgotten about their customers and are too busy getting told what to do by the government which is why they are failing. I'll wait until the V8 comes back because it will.
The people that tow and haul and use their trucks like trucks will probably miss the V8, it's true, but most people are just daily driving their trucks and never tow or go off road or haul much of anything.
At first I didn’t like that the Ram 1500 did away with the Hemi and replaced them with 2 outputs of the new 3.0L Hurricane TT I6 and it makes more power than the Hemi but the MPGs on the Hurricane could be questionable but I like it it will haul ass
@@GearboxCarReviews My 17 Ram has 300k on it and replaced the lifters once at 260k, compared to replacing turbos at 100k I will keep my hemi I don't have a Rebel for mileage but getting stuff done! Not the end of the world but the end for many buying Ram 1500's. Unless you can name a turbo motor that lasts over 200k?
Modern turbos are pretty strong. It's pretty solid technology at this point. There are plenty of early to mid 2000s cars with high mileage out there that are turbocharged.
"You wont miss the HEMI V8" uhh actually yes we will. If we wanted tiny overstressed engines with max horsepower we'd buy motorbikes or maybe gokarts. But we don't. We want proper sized low revving V8s, which are typically between 345 - 426 cubic inches.
@@GearboxCarReviews I had it on my Rebel i hated it and hate the fact the Rebel is an off-road trim that comes with a dial shifter and lacks paddle shifters!
Pointless engine swap. Fuel economy is the same or worse as the Hemi, gives you a bunch of extra power that you can't use because the payload blocks you from getting anywhere near your max towing number (and you wouldn't want to tow anywhere near 10K with a half-ton anyway), and vastly overcomplicates things with twin turbos and other parts. Hard. Pass.

you won't miss the hemi, until your new ram hits 2k miles and needs a new valve body
Mirrors go in and out you have to configure it in your settings via radio screen
This is a pickup truck, they all should have V8s as an option
I disagree

U r an idiot if u pay that much for a dodge v6
As a Chrysler tech of 10 years, I can say you will probably miss the reliability lol
Ah yes the reliable manifold bolts snapping and the lifters eating cams 😂
I miss the hemi already. 5700 kms on my 2025 rebel. Mileage was way better. N your right reliability will be an issue

Yeah, honestly I think it makes sense and it really can move. I like the engine, even the standard output.
$80k ?!?! Ha no thanks. I’d go buy a TRX !
"You Won't Miss the HEMI V8". Just watch the sales. Ram is going to miss the customers.
I already miss the v8
I don’t
Oh, I will miss it, lol. Modified inline V6 sounds a Tocoma (LAWN MOWER) LMFAO.
What are you trying to say?
You make no sense!!
I am not even american, but i,ve tried a ram 1500 and i hated that gear shifter so much. Most people prefer that over anything else?
I don't think most people prefer it. You get used to it though. And it's out of the way. Not the end of the world. 🤷♂️

Yup. They don't want them to last.
My Nissan Titan Pro-4x 5.6 V8 gets better mpg then that 3.0tt v6!!
Not a V6!!
No thanks. Bring back v8
No thanks. Bring on the EVs.

Yeah paddles would be nice to have! That did surprise me a little bit that it didn't have them.
I have a rebel. 2020 almost the exact same truck. I paid $30k less.
These auto companies are out of their Fucking minds !!
That’s not true at all. The AVERAGE price for a 2020 Rebel was $56,400. Nice try kid.

80k$ for a honda civic nooo thanks
Huh?
I think the Civic has more payload 😂
Ram will lose costumers
Next year ram will be trash ..we need hemi
The new rams are pure garbage
They changed the front end, then put a gas guzzling straight 6 in it. I bought one, huge mistake. They haven’t changed anything besides that.
