- changing out the oil on a 1983 Honda XR350R dirt bike. I would recommend changing out the oil filter o-rings when doing this type of job, but unfortunately they were not supplied with the filter that I bought. The old o-ring looked to be in good shape so I felt comfortable reusing it.
I’ve been doing maintenance on my 84 XL350r . Tires ,brakes ,lights , etc.
Thanks for the video.
Thank you, it helped me out. I just bought my first dirtbike and its an 84 xr350r, love that bike
Nice, I bought an 85 350xr, and the oil nuzzle/cap is between the tank and the handle bar. Nice video, thanks for the info. Not a lot of videos for this cool bikes!😃🤙
Thanks, just picked one up in pieces and you’re video is really helping me put it back lol
Did you ever get it put back together?
thejuiceisloose 00 didn’t have to, some guy came by and wanted to buy it haha
Nicely done! My 84XR500 has the filler cap up on the frame reservoir in front of the tank. Manual says to add 1 quart, run it for a couple minutes then add another quart. Capacity is 2.1 on that bike. Just thought I'd post this info to help if someone is looking for info on an 84....
Where did u get your skid plate
It was on the bike when I purchased it.
Hello will this also apply to an 84 xl350r ?
I can’t say for sure, but I would guess it would. I think the xl350r was the exact bike but in a street legal version, same engine though.
I have a 1973/74 Honda XL350 that is leaking oil, any idea how to fix this?? Mine doesn't have any filter according to the guy I bought it from!
Unfortunately I’m not familiar with those bikes, so I wouldn’t be much help to you. I hope you can figure something out. Maybe someone has a video on TH-cam that could be of assistance.
@@MrGunner945 lots of people riding them and videos of them, but not many maintenance work videos
I just bought what I was told was a 84 250xr 4 stroke for my son and it doesn't have a filter there. I'm sooo confused. I can't find it.
The filter housing and filter should be directly under the seat right behind the carb.
@@MrGunner945 thank you!
