With our BIGfoot punter we will have coaches saying we knew who the Bears were and we let them off the hook 😂
🤣
And I can't wait for the Packers to be saying it... "That punter really pinned us deep"
Two questions:
1. Does the ball have to be kicked off of a tee or can it be punted?
2. If the ball landed at the-21-yard line and is downed by the receiving team at the 12-yard line, does the ball come out to the 40?
1. I'm not sure on that one, good question
2. If it hits the 21, it gets to come out to the 40
NFL rulebook says it needs to be off a tee unless it's for a free kick after a safety
Couple questions Adam so are onside kicks no more & do we know if Taylor has kicked off in the past ?
Thank you man I appreciate it Adam Chicago up BEAR CLAWS DOWN 💯🐻🏈
Thanks Adam , you are my first check on any BEARS NEWS !!!!!!
You’re the best with analysis and data!!!!!!
Thanks Danny!
I appreciate that 🐻⬇️
I'd like to see Herbert return more. I think his elusivness is underated
I agree! I'm just really intrigued by Ian Wheeler too.
Special Teams just got relevant. There is going to be a lot of strategy with opening up holes and misdirections. Defenses will need to get past the blocks and smother the KR guys. Best kicks will be inside the 10 and not going into the endzone. I think Ian Wheeler definitely makes the 53. Bears drafted him for his KR ability. Hester would have loved these rules.
100%
Can receivers call fair catch? If a touched ball or kick itself goes into the endzone, is it live or deadball?
A touched ball would be as normal, live ball.
If a ball goes into the end zone it will be subject to coming out to the 30 yard line/likely won't be returned because the returners will be lined up in front of where the ball landed.
What if the ball hits one of the kicking team or return team members?
I'm just guessing here, but Kicking return would be at the 40 because it's before the landing zone.
I'd guess (purely a guess) that the return team could take the same 40 or try to advance it for further.
Sounds like onside kicks will include a more traditional lineup with kicking teams being able to also place six players to one side or unbalanced formations giving them an advantage. But, they need to announce an onside kick, no more surprises
Yes, I should have included this. It's back where they used to take place as well and had to be determined before it happens.
Imagine if we still had Devin Hester in his prime.
I think Connor Williams is a no brainer and should be signed NOW , I can see Poles holding off on edge or defensive line until training camp !
I agree with you
Makes you wonder if Connor doesn't want to play in the cold 🤔
Damn let’s go
Couple questions Adam are onside kicks gone now & has our punter performed kickoffs in the past?
Inside kicks are not going, but they have to be announced before the play and the kick is moved back to where they used to happen.
2. Nobody has really done this style of kickoff so everyone is being considered for it, including position players. Taylor with his size and placement may be perfect
🐻⬇️
Thanks for the reply & to me that sounds like no more element of surprise & with Taylor's ability of ball placement I would absolutely agree with the 2nd part
Yeah, onside kicks will never be a suprise again
I also wanted to let you know that I really appreciate the videos & your unrelenting passion for our bears again thank you so much
@@bryangilmore5477 Thank you!
I appreciate that 🐻⬇️💕
Yes people definitely hold o to things too long
Velus will rock it! 🐻⬇️
I love these new kickoff rules. Can we imagine Devin Hester in this setup.
thanks Adam this clears up some questions i was having...👍

I can see the need for very good tacklers that can be also fast and strong. A good mix of linebackers inside and safeties outside imo. I'm still not sure how to execute a onside kick. Maybe a very high pooch kick would work. You have 1 extra player on the kickoff line that's free.
onside Kicks are only allowed if specified beforehand and happen the old school way
@@Beardownsports That's too bad. I like the element of surprise. So the ball isn't considered live in this new alignment?
@@IAM_Nodge it's live once it hits the ground or a returner.
