I still have problems with the offense after this game. Yeah, we can give Caleb some credit for being a game manager and taking what the defense gave him. But there was not even one successful passing attempt over 20 yards which is what we are all dying to see from our #1 overall QB with 3 top WRs. One of the biggest struggles in getting deep plays is giving the play enough time to develop. The O-line isn't giving that to Caleb. Justin had more deep throws because of escaping sacks, rolling out, and finding the deep guys. Caleb has done that a time or two, but is patiently following coaching and staying in the pocket as long as possible. The major piece missing that we all saw was vs the Colts......Cole Kmet. The more Waldron calls up plays for Kmet, the more it softens up the mid-range stuff. The more that happens, the more you can flirt with the longer passes to the WRs. It all starts with the O-line and what it can give you. I understand that Waldron is still tyring to get a lot of things established, and we found our running game.......a bit. The passing game needs to elevate from screens, to outs & crossing patterns, to true North South, vertical ball. But the O-line needs to be trustworthy to develop the offense and make that happen. So for now, keep trying to establish the run, get that mid-range passing game a lot more active, and find a way to get 5 guys up front to work together to make it happen.
Agree with all of this 100% I think it's still a work in progress and just like you said, continue to establish the run and hopefully they'll start opening all of this up
Adam great as usual. There are four players of the game: Caleb who led whole NFL in passing Efficiency. Brisker Int and end of game Sack, 2 TFLs . Taylor of course and Swift 167 all purpose yards . Keep up the great work will excuse the Scrub stuff on your wall lol! I love my White Sox yes we really suck Lol! Blessings Go Bears!
@@MRDAthe5TH They could swap Jenkins back to RG and I would be happy, but ND is terrible, very awkward looking trying to block. I like Pryor better for the future, and try Kramer somewhere. I agree Davis is making good money, but here's not good. We need to straighten this whole line out for the future.
Great points Adam. We agree most of the time, and are on the same page. I cannot agree more on Jack Sanborn getting out there more. He is maybe my favorite player, dude just freaking plays. Great instincts! I am not unhappy they signed TJEdwards and Tremaine, but we probably would be better off with Jack out there every down somehow. He’s actually is better in pass coverage….
Don't understand the grading when Kramer had two plays, had two devastating blocks which resulted in a touchdown and 1st down, how did he not grade higher?
You realize that Caleb was joking, right? That was on draft day so you can understgand why he was in a great mood being the #1 pick. I don't think he was being arrrogant at all, but even if he was, that's fine, fighter pilots are arrogant too. Arrogance is a good quality if you are going to lead an NFL team to win games, daaa Bears
@@jigsaw6246 Always an excuse. It wasn't just the media talking. He set himself up for these expectations. Doesn't help that Fields and Daniels are out playing him.
When I saw Swift getting the first few carries of the game I got really nervous and worried that all the talk of making corrections for this game was just smoke being blown up our you know whats but then things started to click thankfully. It seems like this staff is having a hard time evaluating their running backs and putting them in the right situations to succeed. Also I’d like to see them give Velus Jones another shot at running back. He showed some potential even at that position even tho he did hurt Rome on one of those plays. He definitely should never get another chance to return kicks ever again tho 😂
Caleb made good choices, passing to the check down when the deeper routes were covered. No INTs! The deeper passes will start to come as this offense finds itself because you know Caleb has it in him. Daa Bears
I don’t believe any of these OL grades on pass blocking, especially with the penalties and multiple sacks wiped away by defensive holding. I agree run blocking was good. Caleb had no time on many many pass attempts, got hit too many times, and Braxton especially was bull rushed into Caleb’s lap over and over. Watch drive 3 again. 😮

They shut me up for 1 week 😂, now i want to see the consistency. But solid games by Brisker, Tory Taylor, and the OL looked solid, best game so far.
Pretty cool that I sat him, but I'm stoked he did so well and won us that game along with Taylor/Defense!
Did you see Brisker? He was defensive player of the game. Sack, game clinching int and led team in tackles.
Get ready for 6 losses coming in the division!! Long live the Lovie Smith curse on chicago!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@garyslomczynski6579 you're a tool
Tory Taylor 277 yds on 5 punts 55.4 yds Average, with 2 inside the 20 he probably let up on.
Great job TT and great job to Poles for drafting him.
TNT!
Man had more yards than the offense
Been waiting for it! 🐻⬇️

Best thing about the game is that there is plenty of room to improve.
Yes!
Not perfect but a quality win against a good opponent

They need to try D. Kramer.
Swap T. Jenkins & N. Davis.
T. Jenkins was really good at RG.

👍
What I gathered from the game is that Adam Mason needs to go to EVERY game. LOL
I approve of this message

I seen them showing williams getting sacked and he had 5 seconds to throw
Got the win vs. Stafford, but they didn't have two amazing WRs.

When you excited about punter means your offense sucks
Not really. The punter is NICE!!
DIsagree.
Tory Taylor, P, was PHENOMENAL.
Pinned them back within the ten -- TWICE, and almost a third time.
He was WORTH the draft pick.
400yds 4TDs 3INTs and a loss. GB paid the most ever for Rex Grossman
Khalil Herbert will prove to be a valuable asset before the season is over. Quality depth is a must.
Jaquan was defensive player of the game and it wasn’t close. 🤔
Oline should eat more Odunze dogs
Caleb Williams: "Hey, you're not going to punt much here"
More excited about our Punter than QB.
Yep. TT was GREAT.

This is why PFF is a JOKE Braxton Jones got absolutely abused. Even the players say PFF is joke. I trust my own evaluation.
As Richard Sherman said, hold every play because they can’t call them all. Chief’s oline lives by that too
You should be considering shane waldron for the player of the game.
I just thought that all the plays that he called in.The various situations made sense.

Most teams including the Bears start the game with easy completions and the plays didn’t make the yards that they would like
Caleb went from generational to just a rookie

He's definitely better than T.J. Edmunds.
He's not as big or fast, but he has the instincts.
