Thank you for sharing this video. Yesterday, 8/21, I changed my wife's 2018 GC Aux battery. What I did was remove the battery first and drive to Batteries Plus and purchase the Power P Sonic PS-AUX14 battery 12 Volt 12.0 Ah for $99.99. They told me it was AGM; however, the battery does not show AGM anywhere. I installed the battery, and the yellow A was still showing. I drove the Jeep for about 30 minutes and had no luck. I removed the negative terminal from the main battery and disconnected both aux terminals for about 15 minutes. connected the positive aux terminal wire, then I installed the negative main battery terminal wire and lastly the negative terminal wire for the aux battery. I turned the car on, and the alert was gone. Today, my wife turned on the Jeep, and the lights were back on. The only thing I did not do was remove the old screws from the battery. I used the ones provided in the box. I called Batteries Plus to make sure they hold on to my battery today 8/21 until my wife gets home. What can I do to get rid of a yellow light?
Hi. Thank you for the excellent video. Did you use a power supply when you replaced the batteries? I used an external battery (connected under the hood) when I replaced the batteries in my car under the seat. Is it necessary? The battery replacement did not take away the start stop system warning sign. Does the system understand that the batteries has been replaced? The car starts good.
Thanks for the advice. I unconnected both batteries at the same time but it did not clear the code. I will go to the Jeep dealer/service at Friday. Maybe the battery sensor is broken.
@@MarkoRöntynen did you ever find the issue? I have the same problem. I had replaced both my batteries and I still have that unavailable service light on. Please let me know. Thanks
@@swimers100 Hi. I went to the authorised Jeep service and they did a reset to the error codes. The error code was gone and it has not come back. The error code reset operation costed about 80 dollars at the local Jeep service. I tried first an unauthorised car service but they could not delete the error code with their equipment.
I removed my ESS battery and got the message. The battery tested OK. Charged it and put back in. ESS unavailable still there. I hear the ECU needs to relearn the voltage levels?? 6 hours? Unplug the IBS and run, cycle power, etc?
My auto off yellow light is coming on in my Dodge Durango 2020 GT 3.6 battery is 4 years old do you think it’s my battery causing this light to come on???
Just changed the auxiliary battery on my '17 GC.. START/STOP not working at all now.. even if I push the button to deactivate it, I don't get the message on the screen indicating that it's off.. 🤔
Should I fix it... is there a consquence if i dont? cause I really hate the start/stop system lol. I think I'd rather have the light on the dash then to push the off button everytime i start my jeep.
Followed every step; for some reason when I go to start the car My dash goes nuts and the car will not start, my LoJack gives me a low battery notification….. Could it be defective battery?

I'm in the same boat. Looking for a solid answer.

No external power used. Probably why you still have the error. Removing all the power will probably clear the code.

What if the warning sign doesn’t go off
I had to disconnect the
Battery when doing maintenance. Now that start stop sign is on! Do you know if it will eventually go off?
I have the same issue, did you managed to find a way to disable it?
I need your help asap!! My 2021 jeep grand Cherokee Laredo won’t shift to park it’s stuck in neutral any suggestions?
Sounds like your having a issue with transmission
Do you recomend to replace both bateries?
The dealership changed this battery and I am still getting this message, any other ideas?
My auto off yellow light is coming on in my Dodge Durango 2020 GT 3.6 battery is 4 years old do you think it’s my battery causing this light to come on???
Lifespann of normal medium battery can be around 3 to 5 years.
Small battery life its even shorter
Yeah batteries don't last more than 4-5 years
Do the 2017 grand cherokee limited have these battery's
Mine does. 2017 Limited 4WD 3.6

That’s exactly what I am thinking too. Did you get an answer to this?
Your miles per gallon goes down significantly
